Hello there ππ
I'm back again with another beautiful and dangerous story ππThis is another mafia story.Forbidden territory. Not sure how it's gonna go but I assure you, you're gonna love it ππI'm not really an expert on mafia story but I try my best.My description might be a little boring and not that in-depth, but please bear with me.Also I will not tolerate any rude comments on my book.If you're not comfortable, please don't read it.Any hate comments will be deletedEnjoyπNathanI sighed out as I watched car after car pile up beside me and behind me, the traffic was not in favor of anybody today and the sun was scorching hot, even my car AC wasn't really working up to speed. There were beads of sweat on my forehead as I tried to look in front to see if the traffic was getting less but it was still the same thing.I unbuttoned my jacket and took it off, dropping it on the passenger seat, I picked up my phone and checked the time, 2:50pmI was getting late, I was supposed to be at home over an hour ago, but here I was stuck In this stupid traffic.I let out a deep breath as I dropped my phone back and put my hand on the car window, looking sideways, I could hear honking and noises all around me, everyone was frustrated.Typical day in New York.We should be used to it now but you can never get used to sitting in traffic for hours.I wonder what dad would say if I showed up today? definitely he'd have something to say.He always does.I ran my hands down my face, before taking the bottled water beside me and taking a sip of it.It was a slight movement but I saw it, the car in front of me moved a bit. Then it moved again, oh thank GodThe others way in front of me started moving and I let out a sigh of relief.I quickly put my car in drive before slowly driving away from the spot I'd been stuck in all afternoon.I passed the traffic light and took the turn that would take me to a very private area in New York that was specially made for the important men in New York.Once I entered the familiar estate, the whole bustling and noise from the city seized, everything became quite as a grave yard.I kept passing huge houses, with electric fences, white gate and very tight security, until I spotted the one I'd grew up inJust like it always looks, no different from when I was a kid, I took in a deep breath before stopping in front of it and driving my car in.From outside it didn't look like much but the moment my car drove in, I could see the men stationed just close to the gate, in front of the lawn and outside the doors.Yep, home sweet homeI stopped in front of the men at the gate and wound down my car window before one of them peeked his head in"Welcome home sir" he muttered before standing back up and talking into the radio thing in his ear.He waved me in and I drove into the huge compound and parked my car along the other many luxurious cars my dad owned. The compound was huge, very fucking huge, a huge waterfall in the middle, a very beautiful lawn and a small tree just at the side.I stopped the car and took in a deep breath preparing myself for what I'd meet inside.I could already feel my nerves leave me.I picked up my jacket and opened the car door before stepping outside.I looked around, looking at the men in Black all over my father's property, as a kid I never understood why we needed so much security, it took me a while before I knew why my dad always had so many men in the house with huge guns and mini pistol hoister and stern looking faces.I walked towards the door and the men in front of the door just gave me a curt nod and made way for me to pass through, I opened the double glass huge doors and walked inThe air inside the house became cooler than outside.Inside still looked pretty much the same, white walls, huge chandeliers up in the ceiling, enough space to fit 50 people or more.I heard footsteps and looked ahead of me, There she was, smiling at me from the kitchen door.I returned her smile and walked towards her before pulling her into a warm hug."Oh Nate, I have missed you" she mutttered and I just chuckled pulling away."You saw me last week Su" I muttered and she just shrugged"That doesn't count, how are you doing? You look a little pale, have you been eating or you're skipping meals again"? She asks and I just laugh before putting my hands in my pocket"I'm fine, and no I've not been skipping any meals" I tell her and she just gives me a pointed look, I sigh and look around the house peeking my head in the kitchen "what are you doing"? I ask and she just shrugs"Cooking dinner with Laura" she muttered looking back at me, I nodded my head, Laura is my dad's cook, she cleans the house too, she's been working for my dad for as long as I can remember"Where's dad"? I ask and I see her smile go down"Upstairs in his study, actually he's been waiting for you" she mutttered and I just nod, right."I should probably go see him, I'll see you later before I leave" I tell her before pulling her into a hug one more time.I turn around and walk towards the stairs and upstairs.I take my steps gently, not in any rush to see him.I step into the hallway and spot the door to his office at the far end, the familiar red door I always dreaded as a kid, maybe i still do.I walk towards it, I could feel my heart hammering in my chest as I took each step closer to it.I clenched and unclenched my fists, feeling the sweat gather in my palms.I stop in front of the door and take in a deep breath before putting my hand up and knocking on the door, I started counting to three waiting for the voice, the moment I count three, I hear it.It's low but loud enough for me to hear, it's gruff and very hard, I could literally feel the hairs on my skin get up."Come in" he roared lowly and I sighed before putting my hand on the knob and turning it.The door slowly creaked open and I took the first step inside before taking another and going in fully, I swallowed the moment I came face to face with the interior of the office.Dark as always, cold as always and devoid of any form of life. The walls were painted black and there was nothing in here that indicated that a Human owned this office.I shut the door and my eyes trailed to the person on the chair behind the huge desk.He was watching me, like a predator would watch it's prey, he was analyzing me as I stood there trying to gather my nerves.I swallowed the moment my eyes met his, hard, dark, emotionless and hateful eyes stared back at me.If looks could kill, I'd be dead the minute I stepped into this room"Hey Dad" I muttered but got nothing in reply, he was just watching me as I took two more steps further into the room"You're late" he grunted out as he watched me and balled my hand into a fist as I tried to control my racing heart."Yeah, uhm.... It was the traffic" I whispered trying not to sound weakHe hummed and grimaced before getting up from his chair and walking to the front of his desk, he wore black slacks and long sleeved black buttoned up shirt. He still looked pretty much the same as he did the last time I saw him."I called you an hour ago to get here on time because I knew you'd waste valuable time and still show up late and here we are" he spat out, didn't he just hear me say there was traffic, what did he expect me to do?"If this was a meeting and your clients were already waiting for you, is this what you'll do? Show up at your own designated time and blame it on traffic"? He asked with disdain and I just lowered my head not looking at him."Answer me boy" he growled and I swallowed and shook my head"I'm sorry dad" I whispered shutting my eyesHis phone started ringing and he picked it up and I only managed to hear a few things he was saying because I was finding it hard to concentrate with the raging sound of my heart beat"I'm gonna deal with you and your tardiness later, sit, we have a visitor" he muttered and I looked up to find him already adjusting his clothes and desk, I walked towards the chair in front of his desk but before I could sit down I heard the door to his office open and someone walked inThe whole air around us shifted, like it got colder, I could feel my hair get up, the one in my neck and other parts.I haven't even seen this person yet and I could feel the chill in my bones and the shivers in my spine.I looked from the feet first, he had a very neat and expensive black shoe on, he had black pants on and as my eyes trailed up to his upper body, I could recognize he had an Armani suit on, and a very expensive Rolex gold watch, a few knuckle rings adorned his fingers and my eyes moved further up until they landed on his face and I sucked in a breath. He had the most perfectly shaped face I'd ever seen, a small beard on his chin, not too much and not too little, a straight pointed and slim nose, he had the perfect hazel eyes, they didn't look bright like the regular hazel eyes, they looked brooding, like a depressing color but they suited him.His hair was not long, neatly moderate and was combed neatlyHe looked deadly. Not like the regular business men I've met during my time as CEO in dad's company.More like the dangerous kind of men dad used to work with when I was still a kid.Everything about him screamed danger. His eyes met mine and I swallowed hard.I suddenly lost my nerve. If I thought my dad was scary, then this guy was the devil. The infamous Giovanni 'Spade' DeVilleFinally done with chapter 1πππPlease enjoy and leave your commentsWill be deeply appreciated.Don't mind any errors please π©π©He was late, yes he knew it but he didn't care, if they wanted to do business with him, they should be ready to wait as long as he wanted them to wait.He walked into study and his eyes raked the whole room, it didn't look as expensive as he expected. cheap couch, poor design choice. There were two men standing in the room, one looked older, the one he'd been talking to for the past one month. His sharp gaze moved from the old man to the other man much younger man in the room, obviously the young one seemed to be scrutinizing him with his eyes too, he had neatly shaved hair and a clean shaved face, he looked quite too young and kind of innocent. With very intriguing brown eyes, not the regular bright but dark, dull and lost brown eyes.Like sand in the desert, stormy and cloudedBoth their eyes finally met and the younger of the two sucked in a breath, Spade's eyes was sharp and his gaze was scrutinizing and fearless, very sharp the edge of a samurai's blade, cutting through his skin
Greg's gaze cut through to his son in anger."Who asked you to speak"? He growled out making his son swallow and look down at his feet."Look at me when I'm talking to you, do you know who that is"? He growled out walking around the table and standing right in front of his son."I don't care about you wanting to get yourself killed but while you're at it, try not to drag me into it" he growled out glaring at his sonNathan just swallowed before his eyes landed on his sister"And you" his father muttered looking at his daughter "get ready you're getting married to Spade" he muttered"But dad I don't even know him" she argued and he just glared at her before taking steps close to her, she recoiled back in fear"You don't have to know him, you just have to marry him, you don't really have much of a choice" "Why"? Nathan whispered looking at his father, he couldn't understand why this sudden action taken by his father, they barely even knew the man, hell he bet his father didn't even kno
The silhouette finally stepped out of the shadows and into the light, he got up from the couch and took steps close to the table before he leaned in and picked up the file.He assessed the back before opening it and reading through, he scrunched his nose up and looked at Spade again."You're not actually going to go through with this are you"? He asked looking at SpadeSpade just put both his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his hands."This is crazy, Spade you're going to be married to her forever, she's going to be your wife" he stated still looking at the man in front of him, as if he was a toddler"That is why I have you, I won't be married to her forever, you're gonna make sure of that" he muttered looking at the man holding the file"Me? Excuse me but I won't be helping you kill some innocent girl two week after marriage" he said and Spade resisted the urge to roll his eyes at his childishness."You're not gonna help me kill anyone Matteo" he muttered making him sigh o
As promised Nate drove home to check on his sister, she was basically the only person he had in this world. He could see the fear in her eyes when she heard about the marriage arrangements. He'd never understand why their father would make such an arrangement without telling either of them, not even Su that was the person involved the more in the contractMaybe because he didn't want any of them to oppose not that they could, him especially. He knew better than to go against their father, he knows the consequences of making such a move.He didn't really find much in his online investigation last night, but he already knew enough to know that Spade was not a good person for his sister, and their father knew this, but he was too greedy to care Unlike the previous day, he didn't find his sister in the kitchen, he had to go meet her upstairs.Lucky for him, his father wasn't in sight either. He walked up the stairs and through the hallway, his steps quickened because the last thing he wa
He unbuttoned his shirt and starts folding the sleeve as he walked towards his mini bar in his house, this was his own personal haven, unlike other Capones he didn't live with his men in the huge mansion, no instead he had a rather smaller, much comfortable and homely place just by the side of the mansion meant for his men.It was inside the same compound but you'd never guess he lived there, it wasn't too huge or flashy, it was just perfect for him.Everything he needed was there and the peace and quiet was the most amazing thing about the house that he likedHe took out a whiskey bottle and a small glass, he opened the bottle and poured a small quantity of whiskey into his cup, before dropping the bottle back in it's place. He walked around the island in the bar, and towards the living room, he sat on the couch still holding the half filled glass of whiskey in his one hand and used the other hand to pick up the file Matteo gave him earlier that day.He dropped the glass on the table
Nate walked up the stairs and through the hallway before stopping in front of his father's study. He took in a deep breath already dreading what he'll meet on the other side of the door.He knocked lightly and suddenly wished he could high tail out of the house without ever having to return but that was impossible and would probably never happen for him.He heard the low 'come in' of his father before he gently opened the door and stepped into the study. He could feel the whole place tense up, more chiller than the rest of the house, all the gaze of everyone in the room rested on him.He swallowed as the only one he could feel burning into his skin was Spade's, of course his father's eyes were on him too, but the only one he could feel deep in his bones and made him alert, was Spade's gaze.He didn't want to look at him, not because he wasn't itching to see those hazel dull and emotionless eyes, but because he was scared and nervous, he could feel his heart rate skyrocket, his palms g
Spade had just walked out of Greg's house heading straight for his car when he heard the door open, he knew Greg was too greedy to just let him walk away from this deal."Wait" he heard her voice and he scrunched his brows before turning around and facing her.It was Greg's daughter, the same one he was supposed to be married to, she had the contract with her.She was a bit out of breath as she stopped in front of him He studied her for a bit, his eyes stopping at her face, she looked nothing like Greg or his son, with different facial features and body look, she could easily lie that she was in no way related to him and anyone would believe."Uh.... I..." She suddenly couldn't form her words, his stare was very intimidating and scary, there was something about this guy that didn't sit well with her and whether she liked it or not, she would be forced to get married to him.He cocked his brow at her waiting for what she had to say"Um... I wanted to talk to you... About the contract"
Nate was confused as hell, he didn't even know what to do or where to look, he had driven his car along the streets of their estate, in hopes that he'd see his sister on the sidewalk but he didn't.It had been almost two hours now since she left and no one had seen her, his father had long since left the house.Only God knows what he's going to do if Su doesn't return. But why would she leave just like that, without telling anyone, not even him.He ran his hands through his hair and let out a deep breath as he paced the living room of his father's house "You have to calm down Nate, she'll come back" Laura tried to ease his nerves but it wasn't working, what if she didn't come back? What if she's had enough of their father's ill treatment?"Perhaps she went for an evening walk"He shook his head "I've been on the streets three times looking for her, she's not even close to home" he mutteredHis father is definitely going to kill him for this.He should have just kept his mouth shut.B
"I want everything to be perfect" Nate muttered out and his sister just looked at him worriedly as she finally laughed"And it will be Nate, just relax" she said putting her hand on his shoulder "we have the rooftop booked and I checked earlier today, the place has been decorated just like you asked, and the cake is ready, even Spade's outfit has been sent, it's in the bedroom" she explained to him and he just sighed out and placed his hand on his waistHe needed everything to go as planned, he wanted the night to be a memorable night for Spade, after everything they'd been through, Spade deserved this, he even made sure it was at the restaurant they had their first date as friends. He had been stressing about this for weeks and now the day was finally here, he even avoided Spade just so he wouldn't make a mistake and slip up, he knew Spade was worried that they'd been drifting apart, but if only the man knew what Nate had planned for him.He even got them both matching tuxedos, every
One month laterSpade stood in the cell, watching Salvatore, who he had insisted he would keep an extra one month before he would torture, possibly kill, after Nate had asked him to do whatever he pleased with the man.Nate had surprised him when he told Salvatore that he had forgiven him, infact since he met the young man well over six months ago, all Nate had been doing was surprising him.He folded the sleeves of his shirt as he watched Salvatore like a predator watching it's pretty, waiting for a good time to strike."What are you doing here Spade? I thought your fag of a boyfriend forgave me"? Salvatore spat at him, causing him to raise his brows at the crude language Salvatore had used on Nate.He stalked towards a table in the cell, he had it brought there that morning, it had every torture equipment he'd ever used.He picked up two small knives first, then shook his head, smacking his lips"You see Salvatore, my boyfriend may have forgiven you, something I still can't seem to
Spade sighed out still looking at Nate, he gently brought his hand and tried to hold Nate's hand, but the young man just shrugged it off, trying to move away from Spade "Baby what's wrong"? He asked, watching as Nate snickered and scrunched his nose up, he turned to look at Spade with disbelief dancing in his eyes."Are you seriously asking me that" Nate whispered out, and Spade sighed before he sat down on the bedside beside Nate"I'm sorry" he whispered, causing Nate to scoff, Spade didn't know what else to say at that point, that was all he could come up with, he really didn't have any excuse to give."I know I should have listened to you, I shouldn't have left that day" he added, this didn't even seem to pacify Nate as he only turned further away from Spade.Spade grabbed both his hands and held them firmly "please look at me Nate" he whispered, his voice sounded as if he was close to tears, but Nate wasn't sure someone like Spade was capable of crying. Not that he wanted Spade t
Spade sat watching the beautiful man he had come to love with his very existence, if need be he was ready to die for Nate, actually the night he'd gone after Sullivan, he'd hoped he'd die so he could at least see Nate and talk with him one last time, but death didn't come that easy for him, especially for him.It had been approximately one month since Nate was shot and he slipped into coma, one month that Spade had to live without Nate, a very sour and bad experience for him. He'd barely left his side, he even stopped working, Matteo handled the mafia while he never left Nate's side, he didn't want to miss the day when Nate would wake up, although he was beginning to lose hope of that ever happening, even though the doctors had said Nate was responding to treatment and was close to waking up, he didn't see any improvement. It was the sane thing everyday and the beeping sound of the machine Nate was hooked on was getting on his nerve, some days he wanted to have at it and smash it to p
Spade took long strides towards the basement of his mansion, the dungeon where he was told Salvatore was being kept, he hadn't gotten a wink of rest, after leaving the hospital, he called Stefano, asking the man about something he'd asked him to do a while back, and luck was on his side because Stefano already had it under control, giving Spade even more push than he expected. He stepped into the basement and walked right into the barred cells, in the middle of it, Salvatore was tied to a chair, his wounded leg had been tended to, Spade had ordered that, he didn't want the man to die just yet Death was too easy for someone like him, Spade would make him suffer, but first he needed information from the man.He shoved his hands into his pocket, as Salvatore looked up and had a grin on his face when he saw Spade."I thought you had forgotten about me" he muttered, Spade didn't say anything to him, he just watched him with great contempt and rage.He clenched his jaw as he watched the ma
The drive was one of the longest Spade had ever had to endure in his entire life, he kept taking quick glances at Nate on his thighs, at a point he thought the young man had finally given in to his wounds, but the shallow breath that left his slightly parted lips, gave Spade a small but of hopeHe didn't know he was this impatient, not until he had to sit in the back of the car with Nate as he watched Matteo drive, it was as though the blonde wasn't even driving fast at all.But after the unending and torturing drive, they finally arrived at the hospital, he didn't even wait for Matteo to help him out before he got out of the car and scooped Nate up bridal style, rushing him into the hospital. For once he was grateful he'd settle his issue with Garcia, because now he didn't have to go through the excruciating stress of answering stupid questions from the cops about how Nate got shot or whatnot. He kicked the doors open as he rushed into the hospital, with Matteo right behind him, one
Running through the corridor, Spade took the nearest left turn that led down another corridor, okay Matteo was right, this place was a fucking maze, he was running when he almost bumped into Matteo, who was also headed towards the same direction."Was that you"? He asked breathlessly and Matteo just shook his head"I thought it was you" he muttered, and Spade clenched his jaws "and it's not Bernie, because he's with me" "Shit" Spade cussed out, he knew it wasn't Nico or Vince, he left them downstairs, he rushed towards where they had heard the sound, with Matteo right behind him, as they kept meeting more corridors on the way, making it even hard to decipher where the sound had come from. They took another turn, both of them already hoping this would be the last one, because it seemed they were getting lost in this house. They both stopped in their tracks at the foot of the corridor, it was just as long as the others, but he didn't bother looking at the end, because what he was seein
Spade was tense, the air in the car was somewhat awkward and intense, they were already on their way to the location where Nate was being kept, he knew he shouldn't be so reliant on his gut feeling but something inside him was telling him that no doubt Nate would be where they were headed. All the other hints they'd gotten over the past few weeks have all led to dead ends but none gave him this strong belief inside. They had taken two cars, he was riding with Matteo and Bernie, surprisingly Stefano had asked to ride with the other guy that was going with them, for some odd reason it felt weird that for the last hour Stefano had been with them, he hadn't tried to annoy Matteo as usual.Spade could tell something was wrong, especially with the way Matteo had also gone completely silent and his mood somber since they set out on the drive. He'd asked the blonde about it but he just said he was kind of nervous about where they were headed, but Spade knew he was lying, nothing ever fazed Ma
He was sitting at the head of the table, a few of his men were seated around the huge conference room, Matteo was sitting by his right as usual, while Bernie was on his left.True to what he'd ordered Matteo to do, the blonde had called some of his men into the conference room for the meeting, and he looked more alive than he had done in days, hope was evident on his face and it was much stronger in his heart.Something in his gut feeling told him this wasn't just a hunch, he could feel it deep down that he was going to find Nate.He looked at the chairs and it was just Vince, Nico and Murphy, one of his very good shooter, the guy was good with a sniper, he didn't want to have all of his men here, not because he didn't trust them but because the smaller the team, the faster and efficient they would be."I'm sure most of you already know why I called for this meeting"? Spade's voice bounced off the walls of the room, making them to nod, as that was making it even easier for him, he did
