Lorraine scoffed and turned her head away, not wanting to look at him.

Mark froze for a moment, but he quickly smoothed it over with a smile. "There's an old saying that goes, 'The wise are those who know when to yield.' Just think about it—you had a perfectly good life; why did you have to go against me?"

Looking at her beautiful face, he couldn't resist the urge to trace her delicate features. The woman's skin was silky and glowing, a far cry from most women in their 50s.
