05.Dance Date

The dance show began with a bang and there was a loud cheer from the crowd. It was a freestyle dance competition there was a lotta dance style to watch. Some were doing Salsa, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary etc. 

Then suddenly they announced Andrew's name and it got my attention. Zayn's new single 'Like I Would' started playing and Andrew and Liam entered the stage and they started doing Hip Hop. It was really amazing. Their performance made the crowd go wild. Then they elegantly made a bow and said thank you and left the stage.

They were walking towards with a huge grin on their face.

"Your performance was phenomenal! "  I said with excitement in my eyes.

"Well..I am glad everyone enjoyed it."   Andrew said politely.

Suddenly out of nowhere a blond girl came running and hugged Andrew. Andrew didn't seem offended at all. She gave him a peck in his cheek.

"You were mind-blowing on stage baby!"  She exclaimed and hugged him.

BABY?!!?!  What the hell was that about!?  My mind already killed her five times.

Then he introduced her to us. Although Becky didn't notice the hint of despair in my eyes cause she was busy talking to Liam. And it seemed like they were enjoying their conversation. Turns out Kate was the head of the dance club in Andrew's college.

"This is Kate. My friend..."   He started.

"His Girlfriend!"  she finished with an arrogant smirk.

I swear I saw him roll his eyes.

"And you are?"  She asked with an evil grin.

I could kill her if I could. Although she was really pretty and had the perfect body, perfect smile and a perfect dress. She was wearing a skin-tight short white dress. Every guy needs someone like her as their girlfriend. I bet she was popular cause when she gave him a peck I saw a few heads turn and they looked disappointed.

"She is my friend! "  He replied politely.

I am?  Wow! I felt happy.

I just replied with a small smile.

"I never knew you can make new friends so soon except of course only for your little games! " She said with a tone of annoyance.

Games?  What kinda games is she talking about here?

I was just silent with a confused expression. He smiled faintly and avoided Kate. And went away as he got a call in his cell.

"What did you say your name was?"  She questioned me after he went away to a safe distance.

Wow, you are not friendly.

"I never said my name, It is June.. June Paxton."  I replied ignoring her attitude.

"Whatever babe!  But hands of Drew!  He is off -limits got it? " she said in spite.

"I..I wasn't planning on anything, I just met him! "  I said to defend myself.

"Look I finally got him to go out with me, I can't let some little skank like you steal him away from me! "  she was ranting something.

I didn't know to laugh at her or to feel sorry for that pathetic loser.

"Rest assured.. I am not interested! "  I exclaimed.

"Really? So you didn't think he was hot?"  She asked  finally deciding to stop blabbering stuff.

Before I could answer her question, we were interrupted by a deep voice

"Who thought who was hot? " Andrew asked suddenly.

I gave him an awkward smile.

"Liam!!!"  Kate punched me playfully.

What the??!?! 

"June thinks Liam is Hot!  " she giggled eyeing me closely.

"What? Noo!"  I exclaimed I was surprised that she would be so low.

"It is okay babe your secret is safe with us! "  She said holding Andrew's arm tightly.

I was fuming with anger. I mean I wasn't like jealous or anything but she was being a real bitch. And honestly, Andrew can do much better. I tried to keep my calm to avoid a scene in public.

I noticed Becky was with Cherry and her boyfriend. I excused myself and went towards them. They were smiling at me warmly.

"Becky! Finally.. Where were you?" I asked with frustration.

"Around here with Liam! "  She said as if nothing happened.

"You were quite busy with your hottie so didn't want to disturb you guys..so did he asked you yet?"   She asked looking curious.

I rolled my eyes.

"Ask me what?"   I asked surprised.

I didn't have any idea what she was talking about.

"Ask you as the date of course for the Ball! Liam has asked me and I said yes!"  She said happily.

"No, he hasn't!  but...Liam?  Wow!  that's great!!  You guys have fun. "   I replied swiftly.

I was genuinely excited for her.

"What?  Why not?  Liam told me Andrew was gonna ask you."  She said looking confused.

"How could that possibly happen?  Andrew has a bitchy yet gorgeous girlfriend."   I said rolling my eyes.

"Uhhh nooo..that Bitch!"  she exclaimed.

"You never even met her!"  I said sarcastically.

"Who cares?  If you hate her I totally hate her that's like the Bestie Code! " she winked.

I let out a small chuckle.

I noticed Liam walking towards us with Andrew.

"Hi girls! "  Liam waved at us.

Becky's cheeks turned red. I never thought I would live to see this day,I smirked at her. She mouthed Shut up!

"So when is this Masquerade ball?"  Andrew asked again eyeing me closely.

I swear he is asking the same question third time in front of me. What's with the theatrics?  What was he up to?

"In two days!"   Becky replied instantly.

"Dude, when are the results for our event?"  Liam asked curiously.

"After the Ball, last I checked! "  Andrew replied casually. 

His eyes met mine and he was about to ask me something. I could see Andrew was nervous about something but I wasn't sure about the reason.

"June, Would you like to... "   He started but he was rudely interrupted by a squeaky voice.

"Drew? Baby!!"  Where have you been? She came running.

God, she is persistent.

"Is that her? " Becky whispered.

I replied her with a nod.

"Andrew I planned the day for us, its gonna be a blast common Let's take a walk around!"  She pulled him.

Suddenly I heard Justin call out my name.

Justin was really a very sweet guy from my class. He was the president of the Fine arts club in our college. He was great with books and also sports. And I recently discovered that he had a serious crush on me since the first month of my college. I never did see him in that way. He usually smiles at me whenever I see him. I gave the exact same response. It was awkward whenever I see him since I discovered about the crushing.

"Hey..June!"   He greeted me with a warm smile

"Justin hi..whats up?"  I asked him.

"Uhh..nothing much I just wanted to ask you if you would like to go to the ball with me as my Date?"  He asked with excitement

"Umm..yeah...Sure! That would be great! "    I replied after processing that.

Honestly, I don't know why I accepted to go to the ball with him.I wish Andrew could have asked me. What am I crazy? Why would he as me?  

He would never ask me I am not even his type. He dates girls like Kate aka super-model kind. I can't wait for him to ask me. Because it's never gonna happen, I have to face the facts. I would end up alone for the ball if it hadn't for Justin's invitation. I am actually thankful for his invitation.

"Awesome! I'll pick you up at 7 from your dorm? "   He asked with excitement.

"Cool! Wait.. you know my dorm no?"   I threw a question.

"I have my sources, Paxton! " He smirked.

My cheeks turned red, I bid him goodbye with a smile.

I never knew this side of him exist. It was really exciting to see him like that.

I turned out to Becky as she was jumping up in excitement I mean Justin freaking Salvator the heartthrob of our college just asked me to be his the date.

Then I noticed the frown in Andrew's face. As Kate pulled him away and they went towards their block.

As he was walking with her, he turned towards me and gave a sad look that I could never forget I didn't really know what was going on in his head but I was sure about one thing He wasn't pleased to go with Kate. I noticed  Becky seemed pretty intense as she bid goodbye to Liam.

"At least, someone is happy! " I said to her when she came towards me.

"Well.. you should quit pouting and be happy too! Justin Salvator asked you out! Come on show some teeth! And do your crazy smile!"   She teased.

"I am happy alright?  It's just that.."  I started.

"What?  Is this about your 'Hottie Harry'? " She asked sarcastically.

"How did you know I call him that? " I asked with a shocking expression.

"Babe, I am your Best Friend! " she said and smiled brightly.

"Well yeah, I thought I had something with him and did you see the way he looked at me while leaving with Kate?"  I asked her.

"Nope, was busy staring at Liam! " she winked.

"So you two are a thing now huh?"  I asked

"God..I just met him..what are you, my mom? "  She joked.

I left out a chuckle.

We went back to our dorms and as soon as I reached my room I got out the dress and changed into a baby pink T-shirt and my Pjs and tied my hair into a bun. And buried my face into the pillow.
