Chapter 32

Upon feeling the warmth of the woman in his arms, Lucien felt a sense of completeness.

He clasped his hands over her stomach and held her even close. "I missed you."

She paused for a bit and then elbowed his side. "We are always together, idiot." She continued with the dishes. She was finishing up.

He laughed lowly as he watched her hands. He can imagine her rolling her eyes even though he can't see her face.

"We had a fight. We didn't talk much and we didn't eat meals together for days."

She finished washing and reached for a dry towel to wipe her hands. She answered in an irritated tone. "Was it my fault?"

He gathered her hair and put them on her shoulder. "It's my fault, I'm sorry. I was just confused and scared for my friends." He kissed her other shoulder and then her bare neck.

She sighed and was silent for a few seconds. She turned around and stared at him in the eyes as she touched his arms. "I've grown to like them, Lucien. I care for them too but we can't just do nothing."
