“Chaol did it. Chaol killed your father.”

There was silence. Errol watches as the sibling’s breaths became uneven and how Asty’s eyes fell into despair. There s nothing in the air but the creeping dread that the vampire could not seem to shake. He watched from the corner as the consternation rises, leaving the siblings in a state of confusion, betrayal, and pain.

The vampire looked at Robynn and hoped that the male would laugh and tell them that it was all a mere joke.

But he didn’t.

His eyes were fixated upon the two and he showed no signs of hesitation, positivity, or lies.

Errol reached out to Asty’s shoulder, hoping to get an encouraging smile from her as she turned her head, like always- but she didn’t. The woman’s hopeful eyes were blank and her mouth was partly opened, showing her breathlessness.
