Chapter 96 - You earned my trust

Caddaric wanted to intervene but then again, Allan was the only contender. He turned around, sighed, and said, “I'll wait for you by the car.”

Allan nodded his head and Casper beckoned Allan to follow him. Just a little distance away, Casper turned to face Allan.

“What do you do for a living?” He asked calmly, his expression blank. Allan didn’t want to lie to his supposed father-in-law but if Caddaric kept it from his father, then who was he to tell it?

“Just as Caddaric said, I work for him for now but if you want details of my abilities, I will give you when I can pin his back to the ground,” he said politely. That is, he had respectfully refused to give the details since he wasn’t sure whether he would be able to win against Caddaric. Casper didn’t dwell on it much because he had planned to pull a few strings to not let Allan marry Cassandra. A guy who infiltrated the Blade Towers was a criminal who shouldn’t have been given a chance.
