We were seated at a table of an Italian restaurant that was just outside the city walls. Although as Vampires our primary source of food is blood, we do eat other food occasionally. This comes in handy when mixing with other species they find it comforting, it stops them thinking they are the meal.

The Italian restaurant was one of Xael’s favorites as it was close to the apartment that he owned, his job had him travelling a lot, he preferred to be out of the castle wall, he was happy mixing with the other species his behavior towards them was different that they felt at ease. Most of the other species even those that live in the city still feared vampires. I can’t say I blame them, historically they have been used for blood or breeding of our species in order for us to survive.
