85. An Unexpected Union

Preparations were underway for the coronation that was going to be in a few weeks’ time. I was feeling rather nervous about becoming queen, not even Zions partner was queen but given what happened to her I tried not to think about it. It was something that bothered Zac I caught him watching me every now and again that concerned expression etched into his forehead. I had tried reassuring him it was going to be fine, he hadn’t told me what was on his mind, and I stopped asking after the 3rd time.

I didn’t want it to become another problem for him to have to deal with, he had been attending a lot more meetings and I knew the run up to him becoming king was taking its toll on him. So, I tried to reassure him the only way I knew how, although even then some days that worked better than others. He would hold me so tight as I slept that I felt unnerved although I tried not to let this show.
