The last thing I thought was that Tamara accepting me so easily. But, I didn't want to be pessimistic so I put those thoughts behind me as I gulped the glass of wine in my hand.

I wondered if they were already on their way and how my mate was doing so far. So, I tried to send a mindlink to my sister, Cilia but everything was blank. That was odd but probably she knew I was going to disturb her so she might likely have blocked me.

"I think Brynlee would be going over to meet your mate alongside Ellen," Maverick said, catching me unaware.

"The Luna at my mate's cleansing?" I asked, baffled. It was quite unbelievable because it had never happened. I wonder if the elders would be pleased.

"Are you worried about the reaction from the elders? Or are you forgetting that your best friend is also a King?" Maverick asked, looking at me.

That's right. Sometimes, I forget my best friend was the king of the Lycan and his word was law.
