CHAPTER 73: Accident

"Is the food to your liking, SERENA?" Auntie Elizabeth asked me.

Unlike the last time I saw her, she was treating me nicely now, as if nothing had happened before.

But even so, she's not a good enough actress to hide her true feelings behind that awkward smile.

"Yes, Auntie, I'm not picky with food, so anything you serve is fine with me. Sorry we didn't inform you that Ezekiel and I were coming here."

"This is my father's mansion, so we're entitled to visit anytime we want, wife," Ezekiel quickly responded.

"Is that so?" I raised the corner of my lips. "We're not being rude right now, and we're eating here too?"

"No worries. The money being paid for all these foods came from my father, which I inherited already," he said, stating a truth that we all knew Tita Elizabeth wouldn't want to hear.

She pretended to laugh even more. "As long as you enjoyed the food, then it's fine. Just keep eating."
