Rena's POV

I was all smiles as I made dinner for him. It was my first time cooking for him, and I couldn't wait to hear his comment on how my food tasted.

Bianca made sure my cooking skills were above average. She enrolled me in a culinary school when I was 16, and I spent two years learning the intricacies of fine dining.

‘The road to a man's heart is through his stomach. To win a man to your side, you must be feminine, a good cook, and a good partner in bed’, she'd said.

Since I can't satisfy Demir, at least, I should be able to satisfy his stomach. I thought.

Thank goodness he didn't commit any other women he's had relationships with to memory. He told me he's only ever had one woman once, which gives me the upper hand, because as his wife, he would definitely have me again.

Not only that, the only reason he's not had me yet was because of my injury down there.

I was elated as I sang along cooking. The kitchen was filled with the sweet sound of sizzling meat and my even sweet

The saleswoman's expression softened, and she nodded understandingly. "I think I have just the thing," she said, disappearing into the back of the store. She returned with a beautiful, handmade dress that looked like it belonged in a museum. The intricate embroidery and delicate patterns sparkled in the light, and I felt a lump form in my throat as I gazed at it. "This is stunning," I breathed, my eyes welling up with tears. The saleswoman smiled, her eyes shining with warmth. "It's a traditional Turkish design, passed down from generation to generation. I think it would be perfect for you, Miss Yaman." She helped me into the dress, and as I gazed at my reflection in the mirror, I felt like I was transported back to my childhood, surrounded by the love and warmth of my mother. My mom, Arat, just like her name, was pure, holy, and clean. Born to a Palestinian woman, and Turkish man. She was a quiet and peace-loving woman, who almost had no words, except a sweet smile, and her heart–

I quickly pulled back, but his strong arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me in. I gasped, feeling my body pressed against his, my heart racing with excitement. Demir's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze burning with intensity as he leaned in closer, his lips inches from mine. I could feel the warmth of his breath on my skin, sending shivers down my spine. "Your lips are tantalizing. I want to savor the taste," he whispered, his voice low and husky.Thrill coursed through me, as anticipation built in my stomach. Before he could do anything, I suddenly pulled him down by the collar and crashed my lips into his. Heaven! This feels so good! He smelt of tobacco, smoke, and something uniquely Demir, a scent that was both familiar and intoxicating. As our lips moved together, the world around us melted away. The kiss deepened into a passionate and all-consuming embrace. His tongue danced with mine, sending shivers down my spine as he explored my mouth with a hunger that left me breathle

Rena’s POV. Standing in the place that used to be my home, tears pricked the corners of my eyes. 17 years ago, a huge mansion sat on this huge plot of land, but now, it was barren, nothing but a vast expanse of empty space, overgrown with weeds and wildflowers. No semblance of the building could be found anywhere. A scene of me running around the compound with my cousins flashed in my mind. My grandmother sternly chastised my cousin brothers for not looking after me…they made my unforgettable memories. Memories of my childhood that was cut short. I stood there, my tears hidden behind my oversized dark shades and big floppy black hat, unaware of the time, until Micheal reminded me that we've spent three hours just standing there.I turned around, giving the piece of land a last glance before leaving. Bianca told me that this land has been claimed by the government, since none of my distant relatives wanted to be associated with us, for fear of meeting the same fate. In my mind, I'd

Kaan’s POV. Hearing the report about what happened to my wife brought me nothing but laughter. A chaotic cackle with absolutely nothing amusing to the ears. It was villainous, malicious, and those around me knew they'd touched what they shouldn't have. The sheer intensity of my own fury surprised me, let alone those gang leaders sitting around the table with me. The guts of these people to take my woman as leverage to force me to sign a deal. My reaction startled everyone on the table, making them stare at me with wonder and a hint of fear. I could see the unease in their eyes, the uncertainty about how to react to my explosive laughter. I let the laughter die down and my expression turned cold and menacing. Leaning forward, my eyes scanned the room, locking onto each of the gang leaders in turn. "You think you can use my wife as leverage?" I asked, my voice low and deadly. "You think you can threaten me and get away with it?" The room fell silent, each giving the other a curi

Rena’s POV. For three days, I wasn't allowed to leave the hotel room. Demir stayed with me for two days, but this morning, he left for business, however, he made sure to draw the curtains and leave a team of heavily armed men by the door - something I tend to forget. The event from three days ago was still very fresh in my mind. I could still hear the gunshot and see the bodies falling everywhere… The innocent passersby who died because of me… I couldn't get rid of the images of the shock on their faces. Curled up in bed, I wished I had the power to turn back the hands of time. I wished I could prevent those people from dying…what would their families be going through right now? It was all my fault. I should have stayed in the room and shouldn't have gone out that day… The sound of the door opening didn't get my attention, but when I felt a presence walking towards the bed, it triggered me, and the first thing I did was to lift whatever my hands could touch and hauled it at the p

  • Snatched By The Don: My Enemy's Father    You're My Weakness

Rena’s POV. Watching Demir's peaceful face as he slept. He looked vulnerable and tired, making me realize he was still just a man - a human with too much weight on his shoulders. My heart swelled with emotion as I gazed at him, feeling a deep respect and affection for this complex, brooding man, especially after what I learnt about him from Soni and Peter. Stepping closer to him, I reached out to brush a strand of hair from his forehead, to feel his warm skin beneath my fingertips, but I hesitated, unsure if I should disturb him. He's been away for two weeks and just returned. I was told he eradicated a gang in Turkey, those people who kidnapped me, and he got in trouble with the government. I was also told he's been settling scores with a man called Viktor and aiming for his territories, just to provide a protective environment for me. The first time he was attacked in his villa was also because of me…at least, he killed Mr. Kim to save me. Just how much strength does he have

"You're so beautiful, Rena.” He planted a kiss on my bare shoulder, then trailed up to my collarbone, and up to my neck. ”I want to devour you whole,” he breathed, his breath warm against my skin, sending chills of excitement through me. “I'm all yours, Demir,” I said, my hands resting possessively on his shoulders. He peppered kisses on my face before sealing my lips in a long, slow, and deep kiss. “I know, little one. I know,” he whispered, his voice filled with emotion, as he pulled back to gaze into my eyes. His fingers brushed against my cheek, “You can only be mine.” A sweet smile crossed my lips as I tugged hastily at his shirt, fumbling with the buttons, but they wouldn't come off easily. Demir felt my frustration and suddenly ripped his skirt apart, the buttons flying off in all directions, some of them hitting the floor with a soft clatter. I gasped in surprise, but before I could laugh, his lips covered mine, soon dancing in sy

“Are you holding back because you don't want to hurt me?” Her question came out of nowhere as I lay behind her, under the covers. We just had two rounds and I wanted her to rest. “Does my little Rena feel that way?” I asked with a smile on my lips.“Yes, I do. You're wild, and you seem not to like holding back.”I kissed the crook of her neck, my hand on her breast squeezed it lightly and she responded by drawing closer to my erect manhood. Rena was too observant and curious, and it made me wonder if it was a good or bad thing. I chuckled, pressing my chest on her back. “You don't cease to amaze me, little one.”“Don't gaslight me, Demir.” “Oh?” I arched my brow. She seemed to be upset. “You do that a lot. You don't answer my questions. I don't mind others, but I care about your sex life, Demir.” She tried to turn on her side, but I stopped her, holding her close. A soft sigh left my lips. My sex life was a little complicated. Like she said, I was wild, extremely wild, but Rena

Kaan ~He holed up in a countryside villa near Caltanissetta, surrounded by luxury and fools. It was almost funny. He always thought money made him untouchable. Now, he hid behind marble walls while my soldiers scale them like wolves. We breach the gates in under three minutes.I stormed the hall myself – gun in one hand, machete in the other. Pablo’s men scatter like insects. I killed three before they could blink. Matteo dropped the guards near the staircase. Blood slicked the floors. Screams echoed off the high ceilings.Pablo tried to run but I seized him by the throat. He said a lot of jargon, but I only asked one question:“Who went after my family?”Without hesitation, he gave her up. “Alessia! It– It was her doing. I tried to talk her out of –”I drove the machete through his chest. I didn't care about his nonsense. I watched the horror in his eyes, the regret, and remorse. But it was too late. He should have listened when I warned him. Two down, one more to go. *******Pabl

Kaan~I was halfway to Catania when the call came in.One ring.Two.Then silence. It wasn’t unusual. Not for men like me. Sometimes silence was safer. Cleaner. But something in my gut twisted the wrong way. Something colder than instinct, sharper than a blade. I stared out the window of the moving car, watching Sicily blur past. Then the second phone rang – the one no one was supposed to use, except one person. I picked it up immediately.“Soni?”Her voice was cracked glass. Choked with dust. “D– Dad…?”My blood froze. “Talk.”“They bombed it. The villa. It's – it’s all gone.”Everything stopped. My lungs. My pulse. The world. “What?”“I got her out. B– but Rena…. She… she's receiving medical care. We’re in the tunnels now.”“Turn the car around!” I barked the order. My driver didn’t even ask. Rena~I knew something was wrong. When he kissed my forehead and my stomach, I was awake. But I didn't stop him from leaving. I knew it was important. I knew that to build a safe haven for our child, he needed to weed the poison out of the roots first.Still, when the door clicked shut and his footsteps faded into silence, my chest felt hollow.I rolled onto my side, placing a protective hand over my still-flat belly as I strained myself to get the note he left for me. It was a lullaby. I chuckled despite myself, because I couldn't tell if it was for me or our baby. But either way, I read it aloud, softly, my voice cracking with emotion."Little light in darkest night,Rest your soul, the world’s alright.Though I walk through storms and flame,My heart returns when you whisper my name."I pressed the paper to my lips, breathing in his scent faintly lingering on it. The tears came quickly - warm and silent - because it was for both of us. And because I knew what it meant. He was walk

The space between us became airless.“I thought of you every night,” he whispered, voice hoarse. “I counted the days.” I said as my fingers desperately worked on his belt. Even after I was discharged from the hospital, he didn't touch me, afraid he'd hurt me. But it's been almost two weeks and I couldn't wait anymore. “You didn’t lose count?” His lips curled, his nose brushing against mine. “No. I carved each one into my bones.” The sound of his belt leaving his trousers as I pulled filled the air. He thought peace could be bought with threats and forced surrender.I chuckled. The fool didn’t know we were already sharpening the knives, waiting impatiently to butcher him. The general meeting ended at dusk with Kaan’s agreement for a ceasefire, rebuilding the city, and unity for Sicily’s sake. The mayor looked like he'd die if Kaan didn't agree. And when the idiot did, the Mayor was like a newlywed, married for love. Stupid. It was comical. Kaan looked smug when Alessia stood and bowed her head to him, declaring surrender, begging him not to hurt her clan. What a performance, what a laughable joke. Everything made me laugh. Honestly, I couldn't stop laughing, even now. That bitch played him. She baited him. And the so-called almighty Kaan fell for it. “Hahahaha…!… We met an hour later in an abandoned stone chapel on the outskirts of Trapani. The per
