Lydia nodded her head. "it's a good thing you're back. All those people talking about you will have to keep thier mouths shut. Do you know what they've been saying about you? They said that you are from a backward country and that's why no one knows where you're from. They also said that you were forced to get married and that's why you dropped out of school without a word. You showing up will definitely give them all a good slap on thier faces!" Lydia said excitedly.

I smiled weakly. I didn't have any intentions to get into fights with anyone. I just wanted to attend classes peacefully and make up for all my lost time. If I engrossed myself in my schoolwork, I wouldn't have the time to think about Andrei, Abel and Kern.

It was the perfect distraction that I needed. But I didn't want to get into a conflict with anyone.
