‘Jesse, did you eat?’
Cazz’s voice in my head brought a jolt of adrenaline, a wash of relief, and a fist of fear as well.
‘I’m not hungry.’ I knew I sounded petulant, so I took a deep breath. ‘But thank you for checking on me.’
