King Dakota Unser POV

I was surprised when the King of wolves asked me to accompany him to the Blood Moon Pack. I would much rather be out there searching for my daughter, I knew she was still alive because I could still sense her. Upon arriving at the pack, the Alpha wasn’t happy about my presence and I couldn’t understand why. Well, that was until I lain eyes on her. Amber. So after all these years, this is where she ran to. If she was here could my daughter be here as well? If so why couldn’t I feel her? Why couldn’t the familiar bond be seen?

*Knock* *Knock*

Taken out of my thoughts the Beta knocked on the door one more time.

“Your Grace? It’s Beta Eric.”

“Come in.” I shouted back.

He looked around my room as he stepped inside. I could tell something was on his mind.

“Beta, is everything ok?” I asked.

“No. Well in a way, this entire pack is just giving us the creeps, however the Alpha found his mate. It just seems as if they are hiding her, but from what the Alpha has told me, she isn’t a normal wolf.”

I can’t explain why but that peeked my interest. However, it still doesn’t make sense as to why the Beta is here looking uneasy.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“The other night, Alpha and I were out on our nightly run when he got a strange link. It was a female wolf begging for his help. It was his mate. She said that they are stuck in their human form and there was a rouge wolf trying to kill her. The voice also said she has been through a lot in her lifetime, but she didn’t say what just to hurry. When we arrive, sure enough a woman was in the lake and a rouge was closing in on her. But, that’s not the strange part. How could she link him when they having marked each other? And what was that strange green cord coming from her chest to his? We have asked Alpha Alex to gather all unmated females and have them outside, but well, we don’t trust him. So I suggested to Elijah, that we get you to help us. We have a feeling the Alpha will try to pawn of his daughter and hide his true mate.”

When he explained the green cord I knew it had to be her. I would do anything to have her home, it had to be her. So when he asked for my assistance I eagerly accepted. Could my wait finally be over? Will I finally be reunited with my daughter? We quickly rush to the field in front of the pack house where King Elijah was waiting.

“Your Grace.” I slightly tilted my head to show respect.

“Your Grace.” He copied the gesture.

“Beta Eric explained everything. I may be able to assist if you allow it. I can make the green thread appear only to us three as a road map. If he tries anything funny, we will be able to trace her.” I stated hoping he would agree.

“That’s perfect. However we must hurry, they will be here soon.” He informed us.

Placing my hands just above his heart I began to focus on just the green thread, willing it to come forward. Slowly the green glow exited from Elijah’s chest and quickly snapped into place. Now, no matter where they hid her, we would be able to find his mate.

“I have a confession Elijah. I agreed to help for selfish reasons.”

He looked up at me with confused expression. I explained my relationship with this pack almost 18 years ago to this day. How, since arriving I could sense my daughter’s presence but couldn’t find her. Like there was a block added the second night we arrived here. I explained everything to him, and of the child Luna Amber and I shared but she refused to give her to me even after clearly showing disgust for the child. How she blamed an infant for her falling from being the queen of the wolves, and caused the war between myself and the original King of wolves.

He put his hand on my shoulder and looked right into my eyes, “I would do the same thing if someone tried to keep my innocent child from me. Let’s hope we both find whom we are searching for.”

Luna Amber POV

I still don’t understand how Ashley was able to find out. It had to of been my father, he had to of told her. How else was she able to find out? All these thoughts kept running through my mind as I paced back and forth.

“Where is she! That brat probably didn’t even tell her the urgency of the matter. If Rebel, well Sam found out her true identity he could find her!” I screamed out in anger.

That’s it, I am tired of waiting so I marched to the Omega’s house. I didn’t have time to waste, we had to make sure Ashley didn’t know anything, but more importantly, we needed to make sure my daughter didn’t find out the truth. Without wasting anymore time I kicked in her door to find her holding my daughter. At first the sight hurt me since I was never able to hold my child, but then I remembered what she cost me and the anger returned. I know it must be fixed, otherwise the truth will bring death to this pack. If he can trace her here, he will surely kill us all for hiding her. Father said there was a warlock here, but he didn’t know which one.

“Where were you ? I told you it was an emergency!” I shouted.

They both looked at each other, and now that I assess them closely Rebel appears to have an aurora of fear rolling off her. For a split moment my heart began beating with worry.

“I’m sorry Luna, I was making sure Rebel was ok. The rogue went after her.”

My heart pained at the thought and I wanted to comfort her, but I knew I couldn’t. I tried my best to hide the emotions, but I can’t deny that she’s my child. If things were different I could have kept her, but fate gave me two people I could never have. My father made sure to make it a law that we were to only stay with our own kind. So quickly pushing the worry and pain away I shook my head grabbing her arm.

“That can wait this is more important!” I shouted as I drug her out of the house.

Once we made it outside I continued to pull her back towards the pack house.

“We have a Warlock present and I hope it’s not him, but she knows!”

“Who knows what?”

We both froze in our steps. I gulped as I turned around and there he stood. This can’t be happening, not right now. I slowly turned and there he stood as handsome as ever. Dakota.
