17 years later…

Today was a special day, so once again I was stuck in the kitchen with the other Omegas. We had to prepare the feast for the young King Elijah.

“I can’t believe King Elijah is coming!” Squealed one of the Omegas.

She had ruby red lips, pale skin with emerald eyes. She was pretty for an Omega. I think her name was Janice.

“Mmmm… He is so freaking hot! It’s like Selene mad him a god. I could stare at him all day.” She stated dreamily.

“Ladies snap out of it! If the Alpha or Luna heard you talking about the King in that way, you will be beaten.” Snapped my mother.

“Mother give her a break. We don’t get to have mates or really outside. What’s wrong with a girl’s dream? You always told me if I believe it, it shall come to pass?” I teased her.

I love my mother dearly. Skylar Morningstar, she was beautiful inside and out. Every time she found me hiding under the cabinets, crying for being teased about not having a wolf, she’d make me my favorite chocolate stuffed flaky pancakes with strawberry syrup and powdered sugar. She didn’t do it often, so we wouldn’t be punished, but it always helped. I hated being different, but what could I do? I dreamed of finding a mate and leaving this place. Maybe I was different, I thought lost in my own world.

“Rebel, snap out of it honey, Take this tray out to the Luna. Always with your head in the clouds.” My mother laughed fondly.

Great now I have to see and deal with Cruella. Ugh why me? Letting out loud groan to express my disgust, I grab the tray and head to the dinning hall. When I walked in I let out the breath I was holding in, they weren’t paying me any attention this time. Striding quickly I place the Alpha’s plate in front of him, then walk towards the Luna. She glanced at me and looked shocked. Ok that was weird, maybe she’s off her meds today I thought as I placed her plate before her and walked away. Stealing a glance, Luna Ashley’s eyes grew to saucers as she almost jumped out of her chair knocking her drink off the table with a loud crash.

“Hey you! Omega! Get over here and clean up this mess.! How dare you cause the Luna to spill her drink.” Shouted Alpha Alex.

I so wanted to ask how this was my fault but I knew I’d only end up beaten. Today the Alpha King was coming, and I had to make sure everything was spotless.  One of these days, I will find my mate and get away from these people. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment from their own family. When that happened, I would get my revenge.

“Darling, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to cause Rebel more trouble. She seemed sort of familiar. I’m sorry my love,” Luna Ashley fake apologized.

Ugh! I am so tired of being everyone’s punching bag, the one everyone makes fun of and tears down. Why was I even born? Like my presence really shook her enough to spill her drink, ha as if. If only I had my wolf, I knew what I would say to her.

“Oh my, imagine being of someone so important, the Luna actually shakes in your presence. A mere Omega, a slave, can frighten the weak, delicate Luna.”  I thought to myself with a laugh.

Oh I could already see her face. How any man goes for that fake ass Barbie look, well it’s a mystery.  More like botched Barbie. The Luna has that bottle dyed blonde hair that falls just below her bum. She uses some fake tan in a can to give her a golden sun-kissed tan, but with the amount she uses, she’s orange. Icy green eyes that are completely hidden under a mountain of fake lashes. Boy I’d hate to see her go swimming and the layers melt off in the water.

Suddenly the dining hall doors crash open, and there stood Beta Jacobs.

“Alpha, the King is here!”

“Omega, you know the rules. Out of sight while the King is here. Otherwise, you will have to be taught a lesson.” Alpha Alex stated as he slapped me.

I gasp and quickly put my hand on my cheek.

“That, was for making a fool of your Luna. Get out of my face.”

I can feel the blood drip from my nose as I turn to get to my room. One day, one day they would all pay.

“Wait! Clean this mess up quickly.” Alpha Alex shouted as he left the room with Beta Jacobs.

I hurried to the cleaning closet in the hallway to grab the cart, when I heard shouting at the front door.

“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? KING OR NOT, YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE BROUGHT A WARLOCK ONTO MY LANDS WITHOUT PROPER PROCEDURES!” Shouted Alpha Alex.

I couldn’t help but feel curious as to seeing a warlock in person. I have only heard stories told by the Alpha’s daughter Amber. She told us when we were younger to stay away from warlocks and witches. They were hideous creatures with a large hunch back. She said their skin was shriveled up flesh peeling away, their teeth rotten away and that’s why they liked chewing on our bones. Since we were Omegas, we’d be caught first. Then she described the odor to smell for. It would be a strong rotting corpse smell sure enough to make you vomit if one was close by, and that you would never be able to rid yourself of the smell.

I glanced around the corner, and the tall handsome man on the right snapped his head in my direction. Our eyes locked onto each other’s and I felt myself growing wet. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain on the back of my head, and quickly realized it was Luna Amber. Great, now this. Internally rolling my eyes I prepared for her beating, but instead she dragged me down to the dungeons. Throwing me inside the furthest darkest cell, she slammed the door shut with a sneer.

“You knew the rules Omega! When the King is here you disappear. Why were you in the hallway?” She spat.

“Because Luna Ashley is off her meds today and looked at me oddly, then knocked her glass to the ground. I got blamed and was suppose to clean it up before the King entered the dinning hall.” I snapped back not caring that I talked back or that I even talked bad of my Luna.

I didn’t know where this feeling was coming for, but I kind of liked it. For once in my life, I wasn’t scared but felt strong. I could tell Luna Amber was shocked with what I said, but then she had a panicked look on her face. She turned white as a ghost before she muttered two words.

“She knows.”

I looked at her puzzled. Shrugging my shoulders I turned to take a seat on the shredded mat when she opened the doors.

“Go! Tell your mother I need to see her at once!”

She then turned on her heels and left me standing in the cell dumbfounded. Was I in trouble or not? Hurriedly I ran back to the kitchen completely confused. When a voice grabbed me deep in my groin causing me to gasps in pleasures as it sent chills up my spine. What was wrong with me?

“I know my mate is here. I smelled her when I entered your pack house, and I won’t leave until I have found her.”
