THE NEW CHALLENGER

[June 29, 1212; Great Fall Era – Present | Jin’s Room - Eben, Meccichuzan (06:30)]

            After taking a shower and dressing up, Jin went to the Government’s Office, it is located at the highest floor of the Sewers. When he arrived, he met Captain Logan and Chief Vincent, sitting on the table, drinking tea while discussing.

“Good morning Jin! Did the Mechanical Enterprise Division started to repair your treasure?” Captain Logan said.

“Good morning Chief Vincent and Captain Logan, I came here to thank both of you for repairing my Buster Sword. Words cannot express how much grateful I am.” Jin replied.

[Captain Logan, a tall, brown-skinned, bald, muscular and bearded man, who is the assigned Captain of the Salvaging Division, he is also the only student of Commander Rick.]

“How was your sleep young fella? Did you eat already?” Chief Vincent asked Jin.

[Chief Vincent, an average heighted, pale-skinned, shaggy hair, dark eye bags, chubby and jolly person. He is the Head Chief of the Sewers since the very beginning. He was the one responsible of making the plans, strategies, budgeting the resources and events]

“It was fine Head Chief Vincent, thank you so much for your concern, I also wanted to come here to give my appreciation before going to the store and eat.”

“Oh don’t worry about it, you did so well last night, I’ve counted all the tools and scraps that you got, and it exceeded the numbers that we need. Captain Logan told me that you have this Buster Sword in your room that you treasure the most.”

“It was… from a special friend of mine.”

Captain Logan tapped and pats Jin’s back.

“That sword will be fine soon, I wish to see you use that sword. It may come real handy once we go out and gather scraps again in the future.”

“Yeah, I know it will. Thank you so much Captain Logan, you too Chief Vincent. I owe so much to both of you.”

“Hey Jin, why don’t you go later at the Mechanical Enterprise Division and check out how they repair your sword? You must be so excited to see that sword getting alive once more.” Chief Vincent said.

[June 29, 1212; Great Fall Era – Present | Sewers Gate - Eben, Meccichuzan (09:20)]

            There were soldiers on the gate standing by, the cannons were loaded, gates are prepared to be opened, bunch of archers are on the higher vantage point. Captain Rian, the Leader of Assassins Division is also there for commands.

“Remember to stay focused not just on the enemies, but also in your surroundings! Do not shoot carelessly, take your time and shoot. Do you understand my command?” Captain Rian shouted.

“Yes Ma’am!” replied by the troops.

“Good! Now, let’s make sure everyone comes home.” Captain Rian added.

[Captain Rian, she has an average height, pale skin, long hair and has a strong personality. She is good at long ranged battles and has a moderate knowledge in hand-to-hand battle]

A wagon was sighted in a far-away distance, it is running at its full speed, a bunch of people is chasing it, they scream incomprehensible words. They are the same people who chased Captain Logan and Jin last night.

“Clear their path! Shoot all the psychopaths that is two meters close from their radius! Start opening the gate, make sure that the horses and the people can go inside! Don’t worry about the wagon, we can make tons of them inside!” Captain Rian commanded.

“Yes Ma’am!” the troops responded.

[A man and his teenage daughter went on to the place where Captain Rian was.]

“You seemed to be stressed out Rian?” the man said.

[Captain Rian looked back and saw her husband and daughter.]

“Genesis.. Aster.. What are you doing here?” Captain Rian replied.

Aster went towards the troops and looked at the open field, she saw that the troops are doing their best to escort the wagon into safety. She looked at her mother as her hands begin to produce blue aura. At that time, Captain Rian just nodded to Aster.

“Fifty meters until the rendezvous!” updated by Captain Rian.

[Aster pointed her left hand towards the enemies.]

“Engage!” Aster’s chant made a bow appear from thin air.

“Bow change.. Compound!” the basic bow transformed its shape into a Compound bow.

“Spiritual arrows!” her right hand made an arrow from nothing as well.

“Sharpness.. 70%” the arrow became sharper.

“Material shifter.. Metal!” the arrow became a Metal arrow.

“Burn!” the arrow’s tip started to produce flames.

[She pointed the bow and arrow, then released it. As the arrow is flying through the air, she added another status to the arrow’s attack.]

“Multiply!” the arrow multiplied into a large number.

The arrows that Aster provided killed tons of Psychopaths who were chasing the wagon, but the numbers of them are still increasing, and their voices became louder as they reach closer to the Sewers Gates.

“They are forty meters closer! Cannons get ready! Once they reached the thirty meters, I’ll give you all the ‘go’ signal. Got it!?” Captain Rian updated and informed all the soldiers.

Aster continuously assisted all the troops with ensuring that the psychopaths won’t be near to the radius of the wagon.

“I’ll be escorting them in the last five meters, don’t worry about me, you know I can handle this.” Genesis said to Captain Rian.

“Who said that I’ll be worried about you?” Captain Rian replied.

“Huh?” Genesis was shocked with this reply.

“These pathetic enemies are not even close to your level.” Captain Rian added while staring at the enemies.

[The words that Captain Rian said boosted Genesis’s confidence and pride. They smiled to each other and got back to the atmosphere quickly.]

“Standby Cannons! One more meter until the expected range!” Captain Rian commanded.

[After a few moments of clashing, the enemies are approaching the area.]

“Ready..”

“Thirty meters! All cannons! Fire!”

[The cannons started to fire their cannon balls, which made a large impacts and destruction to the fields. A lot of Psychopaths are wiped out because of the cannon. Suddenly, the Psychopaths stopped, as if they were a commanded by something, then they started to disperse. This confused everyone defending the sewers as they still continue to kill Psychopaths. Suddenly, a large man was sighted in a distance, it appears to be a muscular slender man, armoured with chest plate, shoulder plates, gauntlet and sandals. It is running at its full speed.]

“What in the world is that?” Captain Rian’s expression.

[Genesis observed the movements and trying to predict its motive]

“It seems to me that he wants to destroy the wagon and sewers gate by brute force.” Genesis said.
