LUNA

Life is super fun with my two kiddos who keep fighting over a toy! A fucking toy.

Sometimes I feel like I just want to throw the toy away so my kids can cope with each other without fighting, but I know throwing away trouble doesn't mean the trouble is gone. We need to solve the trouble, not throw it away.

"Kids, come on, Mads, give Ethan his toy back. You can't take those away without asking Ethan's permission."

"Aww...!!! Mommy!! Mads is wild; she bites me again."

Poor Ethan...

I don't know if it was just me or if other moms also experience it. My daughter is kind of savage—you know, more brutal than my boy.

"Madelyn...! Omg, you need to say sorry to your brother. Please be gentle with each other. Ethan, let me see your boo-boo."

This is my dull life every day. Welcome to my world, everybody, the world with the same routine every day. We call it motherhood.

I've been married to my gorgeous husband, Dominic, for about six years. Next week, we will hit our 7th anniversary.

I still remember the first time I met him at the office. We used to work together at the office, and he was my boss. He was a hot boss; you know. I didn't expect that I would become his girlfriend and now his wife.

He is still hot now, perfectly handsome, the perfect daddy for my kids, and aged like a fine wine.

At that time, I was his secretary and his superb assistant. People always knew that my skills in doing my job were amazing. I was a multitasking person, good with everything I did, and a fast learner too. I became his assistant at the age of 23. He was 35 years of age at the time.

It is another busy afternoon in the office today.

"Luna, meet me at my office after this meeting." Mr. Campbell says to me suddenly. I've working in this office for two months. Every time he calls me to his office, it feels like I've done something wrong.

He is so intimidating.

"Yes, Sir," I answer him.

After a long 30-minute meeting, I see him go into his office and I immediately follow him. I stand nervously in front of his table.

"Luna, please take a seat, I won't bite." He demands.

I never like seeing him in his eyes. His eyes somehow make me shy and nervous. So, I keep my gaze down.

"Alright, is there anything you want me to do, sir?" I ask him.

"No, I just want to talk with you. Are you free tonight?"

"Umm, yes, I am free tonight, sir."

"Can I take you to go for dinner?"

Shocking, you know...!

Is this a date? Why does he take me out to dinner?

Nope, I'm overthinking, maybe this is just a business dinner.

"Uh, will anyone be mad? Are you... Are you already married, sir?" I ask him.

He laughs at my reaction. Is my question weird or something?

"When did you hear if I'm married, Luna? This is just too funny, being 35 doesn't mean I'm married. I'm single and free." He answers.

"Sorry sir, I thought you were already married or something, I don't want someone to approach me and yell at me because I'm going to dinner with you, I never knew about your life and every article about your life is just your name and age," I explain.

"I like to keep everything private, so do you want to go with me tonight? You could also know me better too."

"Alright, sir, I will go to dinner with you."

After that, I come back to my desk and start to work again—arrange his schedule and many more. My mind can't be focused though. I keep looking at the clock, nervous might I say. I never imagined him asking me out.

Time flew so fast, it's 7 p.m. now. Has Mr. Campbell already finished his work?

I start to tidy up my desk, I snatch my coat and keys ready to go for dinner with the boss. Just when I turn around, I bump into his chest. Jesus... My table is located in front of his office door. I don't hear him out from his office.

"Sorry, Sir," I blurt. Shit, I don't know that he stand up behind me.

"That's okay, let's go."

He holds my hands and brings me to his car. God, I flutter though. Is this for real?

The ride is kind of short. He takes me to a nearby restaurant called The Meat Palace, which is a steakhouse. The waiter take our order, and here we go, awkwardly glancing at each other. The last time I went out for a date was probably two years ago. My ex broke up with me after we graduated from University and I never went on dates with anybody else. I don't know how to build a conversation now.

"So, Luna, how is your work? Do you have any difficulty working with me?", Mr. Campbell starts the conversation—breaking our silent moment.

"No, sir, I don't have any problem working with you."

Of course, it is good. I get this rare opportunity to work with a handsome boss. My unconsciousness says. Yeah, so damn true.

"No need to call me sir or Mr. Campbell when we go together like this; just call me Dominic."

"Ok, D-Dominic."

Shit, it feels awkward to call him by his name.

We talk a bit about our lives. It turns out he has been single for one year already, and his mother keeps forcing him into a relationship to marry soon, but none of the girls matches his preference. The way he tells me a story about his life is so well-mannered—it makes me a good listener. He is not as scary as in the office.

After dinner finished, he takes me to another nearby club called Upstage.

God, he is even more handsome closely.

Dominic asks me to dance. I'm totally in for a hot guy. He grabs my waist as I dance around him. I wipe away my shyness in an instant since the music and the alcohol take away my nervousness from my body.

We have fun together...

Both of us have so many drinks until I'm drunk that I don't understand how he manages to stay sober.

"It's already late, sweetheart, and tomorrow we will need to work together again, so let me take you home. Where is your address?" Dominic says.

"I.. umm... I don't know, sir." I giggle and place my hands around his neck, crazily wiggling around him.

"You drink too much; alright then, can I bring you to my penthouse?" He asks me again.

"Ok, sir."

I know I will regret this tomorrow when I'm sober, but everything is so funny when I'm drunk, so just let it go. I'm going to spend my night with my handsome boss.

"Mommy, I want ai krim", Madelyn's request makes me come back to reality.

"Okay baby girl, Ethan, do you want ice cream too?"

"Yes, mommy."

I look at the clock and realize it is almost 5 p.m., time to begin making dinner since Dominic is usually going home at 6 or 7 p.m.

After my pregnancy, he insisted that I stay at home and not need to go to work. I feel this is the best for my children too, so I can continue to babysit, teach my kids, and take care of them.
