CAIN

"You know, Oliver, I have heard great things about you. Which is why, it doesn't give me any sort of happiness to see you tied up here, in front of me, about to lose an organ or two." I faked my concerning tone, twirling the knife around my fingers as I waited for his answer.

"Please, bro. Let me go." He pleaded. His eyes switching to the knife in my hands and to my face. "I did nothing wrong."

I clicked my tongue, "I don't like liars, Oliver."

His eyes widened. "Im not lying, bro. Please. I really don't know anything about the children."

"Do you see those men on the chairs behind me, Oliver?" I asked, walking to stand behind him so that he could have a better view. "Do you know why they are so silent and unmoving?"

"They're dead." He stated.

"Are you sure about that? After all, you can only see the back of their heads, can't you? How can you make such an assumption?"

"I... they're not moving or talking." He stuttered, earning a chuckle from me.

"Let's see if they're dead or alive, shall we?" I grabbed him by his arm, dragging him towards the chairs. When we finally stopped in front of them, Oliver swore in disgust. "What the fuck... I'm going to throw up."

"Don't you dare throw up in my basement, Oliver. I'll make you clean up your shit with your tongue."

His eyes widened in fear and disgust as he looked away from the men, unable to look at them. "Are they dead?" I asked, making him shake his head. "They're alive. Oh god, help me."

"Good eye, you've got Oliver." I smirked, "They cannot speak, or move because I have deemed it so. You see, Oliver, God isn't whom you should fear when you're with me. God doesn't have jurisdiction in my basement."

"Please... don't do this to me." He fell on his knees, sobbing. "Just... just kill me. I don't want this."

"I don't think anyone wants this." I approached him. "This is what happens when people like you refuse to cooperate. So, since you decided we are bros, Im going to ask you one last time. Are you willing to cooperate or will you rather be reduced to a mere breathing corpse?"

"I'll cooperate. I'll do it. I'll tell you everything you want to know." I smiled at his willingness to cooperate and took out my phone. "Get in here. I am already late for school."

I could feel my cousin's grin at the other end of the line. "Coming. I'll ask him the questions needed."

Ending the phone call, I saw Oliver looking at me with wide eyes, ready to pop out of their sockets. "You go to school?"

"Of course. I have a life." I smirked. Normally, I would not let someone gather this much about me but since I knew this one was going to die, it did not matter. He was not going to be able to do anything with that information in hell.

-

I arrived at school five minutes earlier than usual. I could have interrogated Oliver myself about the missing children who were being shipped as we spoke, but I had more pressing matters at hand like graduating to make my mother happy. I knew Jacob was more than capable of interrogating Oliver himself. If it wasn't sure that he was going to get the information needed out of him alone, I would not have let him in the first place but then again, I didn't do incompetence. I only had the bests working for me.

"Sup, man." Rowan bumped his fists with mine, "Where have you been?"

"Got early morning business that had to be taken care of." I shrugged, nodding at my other friends at a sign of greeting.

"Is he dead yet?" Aiden asked, slightly smirking.

"Come on, bro. You know he doesn't kill them on day one." Seb stated, shaking his head almost disapprovingly.

I raised a question brow at him. "Just be grateful you aren't one of them, Seb." I smirked when I noticed his eyes widening slightly while the rest chuckled. They knew I was only messing with him. Truth was, I'd never hurt anyone of them. They were my mates and they had been with me since birth. They were the only ones I completely trusted.

"Let's just go to the lab. We don't wanna miss science, trust me." Seb stated, walking towards the la with us following behind. I was about to enter the lab when my phone vibrated, no doubt a text from Jacob. "I'll join you in a minute." I said, staying behind while they entered the lab. I took out my phone and like I suspected, It was Jacob saying that Oliver gave him all the information we needed and asked if they could go get the children. I texted him back, giving him the permission to to do before entering the lab.

Once I took my seat beside Rowan, I delivered the good news. "We found them."

"Oh thank god." Seb muttered a quick prayer to god, thanking him. I didn't blame him. He had always been the religious one. "It was about time."

"I agree." Aiden sighed. "Good work, man. Fuck, really."

"I didn't doubt you for a second." Rowan winked. "By the way, Seb. God had nothing to do with him. Only Cain."

"Nothing happens without god's will." Seb rolled his eyes, making the rest chuckle while I was busy looking at the person who stood outside of the lab, debating whether she should enter the room or run away and after what felt like ages of the mental debate, her chest lifted as she took a deep breath and entered the lab, silencing everyone.

"Woah." Rowan whispered, "Who's that? Never saw her here before."

"Neither did I. She's a real beauty." Aiden added, not taking his eyes off her. I couldn't blame them for being enchanted by the beauty of the girl who just walked in. She was a sight for sore eyes, a goddess who just walked in the room and for some reason, I found myself wanting to know about her.
