Chapter 3: Dinner with cousin Leo

I walked straight to the kitchen from that annoying jerk’s room and got the dinner ready on the dining table

After setting everything up, I decided to go and alert him. But on a second thought I changed my mind

I didn’t want to get into any more fights with him

Because with the way he’s annoying, I knew things were just never going to work out between us

I went upstairs to my room and took a shower first. Vivian texted me not long ago that we’ll be meeting up at the lovers bridge for a little party

And I didn’t want to miss it

At least, it’ll save me from all these unnecessary quarrel with that annoying cousin of mine

I took a quick shower and got ready in one of my short sexy dresses for the party

I was starving quite hard. So I decided it’ll be best I fill my stomach before leaving

Earlier I thought I could manage until I get to the party. So I served only Leo excluding myself

But now….

I shook my head helplessly at my own silliness and quickly ran downstairs to get something to eat

Leo can decide to come downstairs for his dinner or not. That surely isn’t my business

And I’m not going to tell him to come for dinner either

But surprisingly, he was already at the table when I got downstairs

How on earth did he know I had set the table already?

“Hey….table manners, you’re not supposed to be late for meals” Leo pointed the fork at me as he opened the food

“I’m not having dinner with you. I have somewhere to go” I chuckled slightly and turned on my heels to leave but something terrible happened

Looked like God wasn’t on my side, my stomach churned and made such a disgracing noise

And I couldn’t blame it after all. Because I was so damn hungry

But to have dinner with this annoying guy….

“Oh shit!” I rolled my eyes several times and finally sat across him at the table

He didn’t say anything about that sound my stomach made. But I felt too embarrassed to look up at him

He must definitely be laughing at me in his mind

“It’s good you’ve changed your mind. Here, serve me” Leo pushed his place towards me and relaxed in the chair staring at me

“Huh?! Do I look like a maid or waitress to you? You can decide to remain hungry if you want. I’m not doing anything” I pushed the plate back

“You have grown wings Fiori. And I bet you wouldn’t like it if I inform your mom about your behaviour towards me” Leo spoke in a more serious tone

“You can decide to do whatever you want. I don’t care. And yes, less I forget….”

I went through the stuffs in my purse and brought out my national identity card

I pushed it gently to him and smiled “ just a proof that I’m not a kid”

“Oh…I see. So you’re twenty one now huh? You’re quiet grown now I’ll admit” Leo picked up the card and took a look at it

“Good for you.” I grabbed the card from his hand and kept it back inside my purse

The fact that he addressed me as a kid almost drove me insane

And I needed to prove to him that I’m now an adult. Not the old Fiori he used to see peeing anywhere around

“Okay. So where are you going by this time of the night?” Leo finally filled his plate with some rice and started eating

“A party. You can decide to watch Tv or do anything after you’re done eating. And, I won’t be back until 11pm so don’t wait for me” I explained while eating as fast as I could

I knew Vivian and Jennifer were surely going to break my bones for being late again

But I’m helpless. I can’t go to a party with this hunger

“Fiori, the fact that you’re twenty one doesn’t mean you can stay out so late at night like that. It’s not safe for you” Leo spoke with concern

Or maybe he was just faking to let me change my mind and stay back home

But whatever be his reason, this party is coming on and nothing will stop me from attending it

Thinking of this I just decided to ignore him

Maybe if I don’t entertain him, he’ll finally shut his mouth and mind his own business

I wiped my mouth and sipped in some water after I was finally done with my food

Then without wasting another second, I strode towards the door to leave

“Wait!….” Leo cleared his throat slightly and got up from his seat

I didn’t know what exactly he was coming to say, but I was already feeling annoyed

I just hoped he wasn’t going to talk about me staying back home and ignoring this party

Because I might not be able to control my hand from giving him a heavy blow on his lips when he says that

And I know at the end, it’s just going to make everything worse

“I know I don’t have any right to tell you not to go and have fun or whatsoever. But please take my number. In case of anything then you call or text me” Leo explained with concerned eyes

His voice sounded so good in my ears. And the sincerity behind it almost made me to smile and say ‘I’m not attending this party again Leo’

But he was right after all. Having his number won’t be bad at all

Maybe I can even give it to one of my friends to call and flirt around with him

The thought of this almost made me laugh out loud

But I controlled myself and just took his number and gave him mine also

At least, I can be rest assured I have someone to back me up in case I get into trouble

“Take care. And don’t engage in that too much” Leo said with his eyes fixed on the Tv

“What?” I followed his gaze and saw that there was a sex scene going on from the movie I was watching earlier

“Ugh! Don’t be an asswipe Leo” I rolled my eyes at him and left quickly

What does he think of me?

That I’m a girl going round having sex with strangers out there?

Why can’t he just stay a minute or two without annoying me?
