Tristan's POV

I didn't expect to see Rissa in my office when I got back and I definitely didn't expect to find her folder in her hands, she was looking at it with pain written across her face.

She looked up at me the moment I entered, her eyes were red but no tears yet, I walk further into the office.

"Is this why you've been avoiding me, why you've been ignoring my very existence"? She asks pain evident in her voice, I don't even know what to tell her in this moment, I'm just looking at her.

"You did a background check on me and found a few things about me, so suddenly you feel disgusted by me" she says her voice cracking at the end, I look at her eyes and the tears are already gathering

"Red it's not....." I try to explain but she cut me off

"When were you going to tell me about it"? She asks "or were you going to keep ignoring me until I finally realized that you no longer needed me"? She spits out

"Rissa, let's not do this here, not now" I breath out and she shakes her head at me
