Surprise

After hours of trying to prepare the simplest possible dish, Michelle heaved a sigh of relief. Goddamnit! No one told her cooking a meal was this hard. Grabbing a disposable towel, she wiped off the layer of sweat that covered her face. All thanks to the internet else she might have been stuck in the kitchen for life. Damn that stupid stepsister of hers for spoiling the man with her food! Dishing out the meal in a bowl, she re-entered the dining room, putting on her brightest smile.

  "Sorry if I made you wait for too--" the rest of the sentence was swallowed down, followed by a loud crash of ceramics. Michelle was too shocked to care about the broken bowl or the food that had taken the effort to prepare. All she cared about now was the man sitting beside Malcolm.

What the hell was Christian doing in Malcolm's house? Weren't the two brothers supposed to hate each other?

  "Hello, Michelle. Long time, no see." Christian greeted with a mischievous smile
