It was supposed to be a happy day for them. They were supposed to enjoy it. They were supposed to celebrate. But the news already spoiled everything. Hannah couldn’t eat, and she was still shaking and overthinking. Reid’s family is there to comfort her, but none of it can make her feel better.

“Hannah,” Reid called as she held her hand together. “Hannah, baby.” He called softly and kissed her head. “We have your favorite brisket.” He whispered. “Baby,” He mumbled.

Hannah intertwined her hands together tightly.

“Where’s Miguel?”

“Overtime.” He said. “Cleaning up the mess.” He sat beside her and hugged her. “Come on, baby, let’s eat.”

She nodded as she stood. They went to the table where everyone was waiting. She stared at her seat as Areston looked at her.

“Darling, let’s eat. Then we can have karaoke later and games.”
