Asher pov

As the tension was beginning to get intense I waited patiently for Sophia's response, in order to know the next step of what to do. I watched the clock as minutes turned into hours, with every tick of the clock giving me a heartbeat, my curiosity increasing.

Finally, the maid came back, and as my curiosity couldn't allow me to stand and watch her come to me, I walked up to her.

"Any news?" I asked, my eyes widened in curiosity.

"Yes, my alpha," the maid said, bowing her head. "She accepted without hesitation."

"Without hesitation?" I asked, standing there in shock. "That means she didn't even argue?"

The maid just nodded, still with her head down.

"Wow, this is new," I said. "Thank you, you can go."

I nodded for her to take her leave. I watched her take leave, with my mind occupied with worries. Could Sophia be telling the truth? Could she be truly pregnant?

I didn't go and meet her all through the night, as I slept in another quarters. It was the break of dawn, and I was already in front of the door of my room, still composing what to say to Sophia, who was inside. I was prepared for the possibility that she might try to change her mind.

I raised my hand to knock, but before I hit the door, Sophia opened it.

"Good morning," she said, her voice voicing with confidence. "You are already here. I was about to come to your place to tell you I'm set."

I just nodded with a deep breath, as we went to Rachel, the nurse. Upon reaching inside, Rachel said:

"My alpha, she is truly pregnant."

Rachel's eyes widened as she spoke.

I stood there, stunned, as Rachel's words hung in the air. Sophia was truly pregnant? I couldn't believe it. I had been so convinced that she was lying, that this was all just a ploy to manipulate me.

I looked over at Sophia, who was smiling smugly, a self-satisfied look on her face. I felt a surge of anger and frustration. How could she do this to me? How could she deceive me like this?

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I needed to think clearly, to figure out what to do next.

"Rachel, are you sure?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

Rachel nodded. "Yes, Alpha. I've run the tests, and Sophia is indeed pregnant. I estimate she's about five days along."

I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Five days? That meant she had gotten pregnant during our last encounter, the one at the hotel. I couldn't believe it.

I looked over at Sophia again, and this time, I saw something in her eyes that made my blood run cold. Triumph. She had won, and she knew it.

"What do you want, Sophia?" I asked, my voice low and menacing.

Sophia's smile grew wider and said. "I want what's mine, Alpha. I want to be recognized as the mother of your child, and I want to take my rightful place as your luna."

I felt a surge of anger, but I knew I had to keep my cool. I had to think about the future, about what was best for the pack.

"I'll need some time to think about this," I said, trying to stall.

Sophia's smile faltered for a moment, but then she regained her composure. "Take all the time you need, Alpha. But know this which is? I will not be ignored. I will not be dismissed. I am the mother of your child, and I will fight for my rights."

I nodded, trying to process the situation. I knew I had to be careful, that Sophia was not going to give up easily. I needed to think about the future, about what was best for the pack.

"I'll need to speak with the elders," I said finally. "We'll need to discuss this and figure out what's best for the pack."

Sophia's smile returned, and she nodded, as said. "I expected as much. But don't think you can just dismiss me, Alpha. I have rights, and I will fight for them."

I nodded again, trying to keep my cool. I knew I had to be careful, that Sophia was not going to back down easily.

"I'll send for the elders," I said. "We'll discuss this and figure out what's best for the pack."

Sophia nodded, a look of satisfaction on her face. "I'll be waiting," she said.

I watched as she turned and walked away, feeling a sense of unease. I knew I had to be careful, that Sophia was not going to give up easily. But I was determined to do what was best for the pack, no matter what it took.

I took a deep breath and turned to Rachel. "Thank you for telling me the truth," I said.

Rachel nodded, a look of concern on her face. "I'm just glad I could help, Alpha. But be careful, okay? Sophia is not going to give up easily."

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination. I was ready for whatever came next, ready to fight for what was best for the pack.

"I'll be careful," I said. "But I need to do what's best for the pack, no matter what it takes."

Rachel nodded, a look of understanding on her face. "I know, Alpha. Just be careful, okay?"

I nodded and turned to leave, my mind racing with thoughts of what was to come. I knew that Sophia was not going to give up easily, and that I would have to be careful if I was going to protect the pack.

As I walked back to my study room, I couldn't help but think about the future. What would happen if Sophia was indeed the mother of my child? Would she use that as leverage to gain power and control over the pack?

I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present. I needed to gather the elders and discuss the situation. We needed to come up with a plan to deal with Sophia and her claims.

I arrived at my meeting hall and sent for the elders. They arrived quickly, their faces grave with concern.

"What is it, Alpha?" one of them asked.

I took a deep breath and told them everything. I told them about about the pregnancy test, and about my concerns for the pack.

The elders listened intently, their faces growing more and more serious. When I finished, they nodded thoughtfully.

"We will support you, Alpha," one of them said. "But we must also consider the possibility that Sophia is telling the truth. If she is indeed the mother of your child, then we must think about the future of the pack."

I nodded, knowing that they were right. We had to consider all possibilities, no matter how difficult they might be.

"What do you suggest we do?" I asked.

The elders looked at each other, then back at me. "We suggest that we gather more information," one of them said. "We need to know more about Sophia's past, about her motivations and her plans. We also need to consider the possibility that she may be working with someone else, someone who could be a threat to the pack."

I nodded, knowing that they were right. We needed to gather more information, to get to the bottom of Sophia's claims and her motivations. And we needed to do it quickly, before things got out of hand.

Aurora’s POV. I walked out of the hospital with the paper in my hand. I had to walk towards a vacant seat which was designed for patients in the hospital to sit and receive fresh air. I sat slowly, as I opened the paper with trembling hands, and glanced through it. Slowly, the look on my face was replaced with that of shock. “What?” I thought as I glanced all over the paper for the umpteenth time. “I’m pregnant,” I thought with wide eyes, wondering why I became pregnant now. I became confused if it was possible to let my husband know or if I could hide it from him. “Asher wouldn’t be happy about this, I’m so sure about it,” I said to myself, still glancing at the paper before I slowly folded it back and returned it to the envelope. I decided to walk home slowly so I could also sort my thoughts. Staying in a marriage where I didn’t feel loved was enough to shatter my heart every day, but I still didn’t have the right to leave. Asher just hated me because the moon goddess fate

Aurora’s POV. I wiped my eyes, as I stood up slowly, walking out of her presence. I headed to the kitchen so I could find somewhere to fix myself in, but there were a good number of maids busy in the kitchen, so I sought within myself to check the hall. “I could help with the decorations,” I thought, and quickly walked to the hall. There weren’t a lot of people there, so I quickly went to assist the servants in decorating the hall. A servant was with a ribbon, and I took the ribbon so I could design it just the way she was doing hers, but was beyond shocked when the servant shoved me. I glared at the lady to know if she did it by mistake, but I was taken aback when she mocked me. She said, “I always wonder why our competent Alpha brought a mute like you as our Luna, and I’ve always tried my best to avoid you. I just don’t know why you keep showing your face in our business,” A servant said, and I knew deep down that I wasn’t going to take that one. I straightened my posture an

Aurora’s POV. I stared at myself in the mirror, and a light smile crept on my lips as the rays of the morning sun shone directly on my face. I was preparing to go to work at the cafe as usual as I hummed a song and walked out of my room heading out of the mansion. I walked to the cafe which wasn’t far from where the mansion was and met Nora, cleaning with a bright smile on her face. I smiled to myself as I thought, “Such a nice boss,” “Hey welcome Aurora,” She called out the moment she saw me with a bright smile that I returned with a nod. I stood in one corner with my gaze on Nora as I admired her. Nora was such a beautiful lady, that at times, I was often mesmerized by her appearance. I kept on admiring her with a smile on my face as I remembered things Nora had done for me. She has constantly supported me, even when I had no one. She was like the big sister I never had, as she always shielded me from unnecessary troubles. She is the only one who cares about me and I reall

AURORA’S POV. I batted an eyelid open slowly when I began to take cognizance of my surroundings. I looked around, and before I knew it, the unique smell of the hospital rushed past my nostrils and I instantly knew where I was. My head banged slightly, and I tried to sit up hoping I could remember what had happened to me and why I was lying in the hospital bed. “Oh, you’re awake,” I heard the familiar voice of Nora, and I quickly looked in the direction the voice came from to see Nora rushing towards me. “Are you okay?”“I was worried sick about you.”“Are you feeling pains anywhere?”She bombarded me with questions and a light smile crept on my lips. It felt nice to see that someone cared about me. I slowly shook my head, and she sucked her teeth before looking around like she was in search of something and quickly went to her bag to bring out a notepad. “Tell me what happened,” She said, as she stretched forth the notepad to me, wearing a sad smile. “What happened? AURORA’S POV. I arrived at the next pack two cities away from my previous pack at night and went straight to pay my respects to the Alpha of the pack, and ask him if he could permit me to stay in his pack for a while so they wouldn't think I'm a rouge wolf. Oh wait, they can't smell a wolf on me because I don't have one. Maybe I should use this to my advantage. I walked up to the guards who were positioned at the boundary and bowed slightly which they returned courteously. I couldn’t help but think that the servants there were trained and had manners, unlike where I come from. With the directions that Nora gave me, I didn’t find it difficult to locate the Alpha’s mansion so I could pay attribute to him. I was certain that they’d find out if I sneaked into the pack to live amongst them, so in order to avert impending trouble, I decided to greet the Alpha myself and ask for permission. I walked to a sit-out hut where I had my seat to wait for the person the alpha would be sending to me. Minutes turned into hours, and I began to doze off where I was sitting.Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I raised my head, seeing a young lady in front of me."Good evening, ma," the maid said with a forceful smile. "The alpha sent me to take you to your room. Sorry for the delay, as I was trying to arrange the room for you. You can follow me now; it is ready."All I could do was nod my head, following her as we walked through the hallway. I could hear murmurs of guards whispering to themselves, with some even giving me weird looks, but I ignored them, focusing on the maid.We finally arrived at my room after several stairs. We entered, and I was welcomed by a beautiful smell of lovely fragrance all over the room. The beauty of the room was of royal stan

"One of the elders just called, and with what he was telling me, he said Sophia is pregnant. How is it possible?""I understand you, Mother," I said, shaking my head in disappointment. "We gotta talk."She looked up at me, a weak smile on her face. "Asher," she whispered. "I'm so glad you're here. I have been feeling so unwell."I snarled; all my anger boiled then. Where does she place the interest of our people? The air grew thick with tension as I approached headquarters. Pack members were huddled together, speaking among themselves.I steeled myself for the coming fight and took a deep breath. I wasn't going to let Sophia's actions tear our pack apart.I got out of the car and began to walk towards headquarters with my assistant. The curious and hostile gazes turned to me as we entered the building.I tuned them out-mentally set my focus on what lay ahead of me. I knew I needed to confront her, but some part of me just wouldn't take action.Maybe it was just some kind of setup. Maybe Sophia was totally innocent, and this phantom figure wanted me to think otherwise?Shrugging off my doubts, I went up to my hotel room with my mind swimming in questions and doubts. The minute I stepped into that room, there sat Sophia upon the bed, more innocent than one human mind can fathom. But I knew a thing or two about her inno

Asher povMorning light crept inside the room, the passion of the previous night still fresh. I woke with a pounding headache-the remnants of the hangover still there. Lying beside me was Sophia, and a sly smile grew on her lips."Good morning, my alpha," she whispered, very low and seductive.I rubbed my temples, trying to ease the pain. "What was last night all about?" I asked, my voice filled with confusion and curiosity.Sophia took a deep breath before responding. "I'm the luna, and I know what my alpha needs at any given time."I raised an eyebrow, incredulous. "Sophia, I know that, but your behavior last night was unlike you. You didn't use protection or your pregnancy prevention pills. What's your game in all of this?"Sophia's smile never wavered. "Don't start this morning, asher. I know you enjoyed the passion, and I did too. Let's not spoil the moment. And if you're not satisfied, we have plenty of time this morning."I caught her hand, which was reaching to touch my chest.
