Asher pov
My mother nodded, seeming to accept my promise. "See that you are, Asher. I don't want to see you get hurt again."
I nodded, feeling a pang of guilt for worrying my mother. "I'll be fine, Mother. I can take care of myself."
My mother raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in her voice. "Can you, Asher? Can you really take care of yourself when it comes to Aurora?"
I felt a surge of defensiveness, but I knew my mother was just trying to protect me. "Mother, I'll be fine. I promise."
My mother nodded, seeming to accept my reassurance. "Alright, Asher. Just be careful, okay?"
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "I will, Mother. Thank you for worrying about me."
My mother smiled, her expression softening. "That's what mothers are for, Asher. Now go, and be careful."
I nodded, turning to leave. As I walked out of my mother's house, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was walking into a storm, one that would test my resolve and my heart.
I walked back to my car, my mind racing with thoughts of Aurora and the task ahead. I knew I had to be careful, not just for my own sake, but for the sake of the pack.
As I drove away from my mother's house, I couldn't help but think about Aurora and our complicated past. I had hurt her deeply, and I knew I didn't deserve her forgiveness.
But I also knew that I needed her help, and I was willing to do whatever it took to get it. I just hoped that I wouldn't lose myself in the process.
I arrived at my apartment, my mind still reeling with thoughts of Aurora and the pack. I knew I had to focus, to come up with a plan to take down Sophia and uncover the truth.
I sat down at my kitchen table, pulling out my phone and dialing a number. It was time to gather my allies and come up with a plan.
As I waited for the person on the other end to answer, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What lay ahead? And would I be able to overcome my past mistakes to succeed?
But there was no answer. With worried looks, I stood there as different thoughts occurred in my head. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to look, and it was the maid.
"What is wrong?" I asked, looking confused.
"It's Luna Sophia, my alpha," she said, bowing her head.
"And so, what is it?" I asked angrily.
"She wants to see you now," the maid said. "It's urgent."
With a deep breath, I followed the maid I felt like I had been punched in the gut. Pregnancy matters again? Sophia's pregnancy is getting distrubing I couldn't believe it. And what was she talking about, needing love from me? I thought we were just allies, as she wants it, not...not something more.
"Sophia, I...I don't know what to say," I stuttered, trying to process the information.
Sophia looked up at me, her eyes flashing with anger. "You don't know what to say? You're the father, Asher. Or at least, I'm reassuring you that you are."
I felt a wave of panic wash over me. The father, it was just a casual thing. We had never been serious.
"Sophia, I...I don't think that's possible," I said, trying to reason with her.
But Sophia just laughed, a cold, calculating sound. "Oh, Asher. You're so naive. You really think you're not the only one I've been with? I've been playing the field, Asher. And now, I'm pregnant. And you're going to take care of me, and this baby."
I felt a chill run down my spine. Sophia's eyes seemed to gleam with a sinister light, and I realized that I was in grave danger.
I took a step back, trying to create some distance between us. "Sophia, I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but I'm not buying it. We've never been serious, and I'm not the father of your child."
Sophia's smile grew wider, and she leaned forward, her eyes glinting with malice. "Oh, Asher. You're so predictable. You think you can just deny it and walk away? I have proof, Asher. Proof that you're the father."
I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "What kind of proof?"
Sophia leaned back, a self-satisfied smile on her face. "Let's just say that I have a certain...witness who can attest to our little tryst. And I have a feeling that this witness will be more than happy to come forward and confirm that you're the father."
I felt a cold dread creeping up my spine. Who could Sophia possibly have as a witness? And what did she mean by "our little tryst"? I knew I had to think fast, to come up with a plan to counter Sophia's claims.
But before I could say anything, Sophia's face lit up with a cruel smile. "And by the way, Asher. You're not going anywhere. You're going to stay right here with me, until we can figure out the details of our little family."
I realized with a jolt of fear that I was trapped. Sophia had me right where she wanted me, and I had no idea how to escape.
I tried to think of a way to reason with Sophia, but her eyes seemed to gleam with a manic intensity that made me doubt my chances of success.
"Sophia, listen to me," I said, trying to keep my voice calm. "I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but I'm not going to play along. I'm not the father of your child, and I'm not going to be trapped into some kind of fake relationship with you."
Sophia's smile grew wider, and she leaned forward, her voice taking on a menacing tone. "Oh, Asher. You're so wrong. You're going to do exactly what I say, or else."
Asher povI felt a chill run down my spine as Sophia's words hung in the air. What did she mean by "or else"? What kind of leverage did she have over me?Suddenly, she taped me to bring me back to reality, and I turned to see Sophia's eyes staring at me a menacing look on her face."I think it's time for you to cooperate, Asher," Sophia said, her voice dripping with malice. "You're not going anywhere until we settle this."I realized with a jolt of fear that I was trapped, and Sophia had the upper hand. I had to think fast, to come up with a plan to escape and clear my name. But for now, I was at Sophia's mercy.I looked at Sophia with a strange look. "Sophia, you are getting insane, and I would not be a part of what you're doing," I yelled, standing up."Calm down, Asher," she said, her voice low and even. "This love... it just looks like I'm the one putting all the effort here," she added, bowing her head in anger.I took a step back, shocked by Sophia's words. "Love? You call this
Asher povI arrived at Johnson's home, a nondescript building in the heart of the city. I knocked on the door, and Johnson answered, a look of curiosity on his face."What's going on, Asher?" he asked, ushering me into his home.I filled him in on my conversation with Josh, and Johnson's eyes grew wider as I spoke."This sounds big," he said, his fingers flying across his keyboard. "Let me see what I can dig up."He worked his magic, hacking into Sophia's computer systems and uncovering a trail of secrets and lies. As we dug deeper, I realized that Sophia's plan was far more sinister than I had ever imagined."What have we got?" I asked Johnson, my eyes scanning the data on hid screen.Johnson's face was grim. "It looks like Sophia is planning to take over the pack," she said. "And she's willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants.""Yes, that was not a new thing, that was her plan all along. What else can you find?" I asked, followed by a deep breath."From the documents I

Aurora’s POV. I walked out of the hospital with the paper in my hand. I had to walk towards a vacant seat which was designed for patients in the hospital to sit and receive fresh air. I sat slowly, as I opened the paper with trembling hands, and glanced through it. Slowly, the look on my face was replaced with that of shock. “What?” I thought as I glanced all over the paper for the umpteenth time. “I’m pregnant,” I thought with wide eyes, wondering why I became pregnant now. I became confused if it was possible to let my husband know or if I could hide it from him. “Asher wouldn’t be happy about this, I’m so sure about it,” I said to myself, still glancing at the paper before I slowly folded it back and returned it to the envelope. I decided to walk home slowly so I could also sort my thoughts. Staying in a marriage where I didn’t feel loved was enough to shatter my heart every day, but I still didn’t have the right to leave. Asher just hated me because the moon goddess fate
Aurora’s POV. I wiped my eyes, as I stood up slowly, walking out of her presence. I headed to the kitchen so I could find somewhere to fix myself in, but there were a good number of maids busy in the kitchen, so I sought within myself to check the hall. “I could help with the decorations,” I thought, and quickly walked to the hall. There weren’t a lot of people there, so I quickly went to assist the servants in decorating the hall. A servant was with a ribbon, and I took the ribbon so I could design it just the way she was doing hers, but was beyond shocked when the servant shoved me. I glared at the lady to know if she did it by mistake, but I was taken aback when she mocked me. She said, “I always wonder why our competent Alpha brought a mute like you as our Luna, and I’ve always tried my best to avoid you. I just don’t know why you keep showing your face in our business,” A servant said, and I knew deep down that I wasn’t going to take that one. I straightened my posture an
Aurora’s POV. I stared at myself in the mirror, and a light smile crept on my lips as the rays of the morning sun shone directly on my face. I was preparing to go to work at the cafe as usual as I hummed a song and walked out of my room heading out of the mansion. I walked to the cafe which wasn’t far from where the mansion was and met Nora, cleaning with a bright smile on her face. I smiled to myself as I thought, “Such a nice boss,” “Hey welcome Aurora,” She called out the moment she saw me with a bright smile that I returned with a nod. I stood in one corner with my gaze on Nora as I admired her. Nora was such a beautiful lady, that at times, I was often mesmerized by her appearance. I kept on admiring her with a smile on my face as I remembered things Nora had done for me. She has constantly supported me, even when I had no one. She was like the big sister I never had, as she always shielded me from unnecessary troubles. She is the only one who cares about me and I reall
AURORA’S POV. I batted an eyelid open slowly when I began to take cognizance of my surroundings. I looked around, and before I knew it, the unique smell of the hospital rushed past my nostrils and I instantly knew where I was. My head banged slightly, and I tried to sit up hoping I could remember what had happened to me and why I was lying in the hospital bed. “Oh, you’re awake,” I heard the familiar voice of Nora, and I quickly looked in the direction the voice came from to see Nora rushing towards me. “Are you okay?”“I was worried sick about you.”“Are you feeling pains anywhere?”She bombarded me with questions and a light smile crept on my lips. It felt nice to see that someone cared about me. I slowly shook my head, and she sucked her teeth before looking around like she was in search of something and quickly went to her bag to bring out a notepad. “Tell me what happened,” She said, as she stretched forth the notepad to me, wearing a sad smile. “What happened? How did e
AURORA’S POV. I arrived at the next pack two cities away from my previous pack at night and went straight to pay my respects to the Alpha of the pack, and ask him if he could permit me to stay in his pack for a while so they wouldn't think I'm a rouge wolf. Oh wait, they can't smell a wolf on me because I don't have one. Maybe I should use this to my advantage. I walked up to the guards who were positioned at the boundary and bowed slightly which they returned courteously. I couldn’t help but think that the servants there were trained and had manners, unlike where I come from. With the directions that Nora gave me, I didn’t find it difficult to locate the Alpha’s mansion so I could pay attribute to him. I was certain that they’d find out if I sneaked into the pack to live amongst them, so in order to avert impending trouble, I decided to greet the Alpha myself and ask for permission. I got to his mansion, and with the help of my notepad and pen, I scribbled down my wish of seei

Asher pov The night ended as I stood in front of the restaurant, watching as her driver drove her off. With a little faded smile, I waved to her. It was like a dream which was Aurora, the one person I never thought this would happen with, just did.I walked to my car as my phone rang. It was my mother."Why would she be calling me at this time?" I thought."Hello, Mother," I said, answering the call."Asher, what is this I am seeing? All these pictures...?" my mother said, her voice heavy and angry."What pictures are you talking about?" I asked, curiosity filling my thoughts."A picture of you and Aurora in a restaurant, having dinner. I don't understand - is this an old picture or what? Aurora... for over how many years ago... about five years ago, I guess," she said, confusion filling her words."Mother, calm down, I can explain," I said, my voice trembling."Come to my place right away and explain!" she yelled.I sighed, rubbing my temples as I tried to ward off the impending hea
Aurora pov I felt a shiver run down my spine as Asher's words hung in the air. The entire pack in danger? What could Sophia possibly be hiding?I looked at Asher, searching for answers. His expression was grim, his jaw clenched in determination."What makes you think Sophia's hiding something?" I wrote, my hands trembling in fear.Asher hesitated, his eyes scanning the surrounding area before focusing on me. "I've been noticing strange behavior from her. Secret meetings, whispered conversations... and then there's the fact that she's been acting increasingly erratic."I frowned, my mind racing with possibilities. Sophia's behavior did sound suspicious."And what do you think I can do to help?" I wrote, my curiosity getting the better of me.Asher's eyes locked on mine, his gaze intense. "Like I said, I need you to pretend to be interested in me again. To make Sophia believe that we're rekindling our relationship. Can I count on you, Aurora?"I hesitated, unsure of what to write. Pret
Aurora pov It had been about a week since Asher and I met at that event. I could still remember his words. I was mute, but my heart poured out my words. I had to push those feelings aside and focus on my company, which I had already built to great heights. As I sat in my office, staring out the window at the bustling city below, my mind began to wander back to Asher. I couldn't believe the connection we had shared, despite my inability to speak. It was as if he had seen into my very soul.I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts. I had worked too hard to build my company from the ground up to let distractions get in the way. But as I turned back to my desk, my eyes landed on the small, intricately carved wooden box that Asher had given me.I opened the box, revealing the beautiful silver necklace inside. It was a stunning piece, with delicate filigree and a small crystal pendant. I ran my fingers over the necklace, feeling a shiver run down my spine, it was gift from one of my f
Asher pov Sophia entered, going straight to sit on the bed. I turned, looking at her angrily. "Why are you here? I thought I left the room for you?" I asked."Asher, why are you doing this to me? Even if you hate me, at least show respect for the baby inside me," she said, making eye contact with me."Sophia, you are evil and you know it," I said, my voice heavy. "I don't know your motive, but I am determined to stop you. You forced me that night to make love with you because I was drunk. Now that you are pregnant, you are using it to gain power for yourself.""Asher, I want us to stop all of this," Sophia said, her eyes narrowing. "The truth is, I want you to be my alpha and I want to be your luna. I don't want to share you with anyone.""Share me with anyone? What do you mean?" I asked, looking confused."Yes, you know what I am talking about," Sophia said, her voice dripping with malice. "Aurora? Does she ring a bell in your head? Or should I remind you of the slap she gave me? No
Asher povI felt a surge of anger and frustration at my mother's words. Didn't she care about the truth? Didn't she care about the harm that Sophia could be causing to the pack?I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I knew that my mother was only trying to protect the pack, but I also knew that she was being naive. Sophia was not what she seemed, and I was determined to expose her for what she truly was.I looked over at my personal guard, who was watching me with concern. "What did she say?" he asked, as I hung up the phone.I shook my head and said. "She wants me to drop the investigation into Sophia's activities. She says that Sophia is carrying my baby and that we can't afford to upset her."My guard eyes widened in shock. "But that's not true, is it?" he asked. "I mean, Sophia is not really carrying your baby, is she?"I nooded my head. "Yes, she's is. But my mother knows that. And she believes Sophia's lies, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to protect her.
