Chapter 7

She can't utter any words for a few seconds. Gulping her saliva hard, she opens her mouth to speak.

“Where are you Eryx, Did... Did you reach home? " She smiles painfully.

He stayed silent for a while, She thought he already hung up on her. After all, he is with his fiance.

“Where are you now?”, his words are hard yet warm. What does she have to say?

“I'm going home, actually, I just called you to check. Did you reach your home safely or not? After all, you were drunk”, She still doesn't want to bother him.

Oh...

A single reply makes her heart heavy. There is nothing to speak about now.

“Then, I'm hanging up Eryx”, she didn't wait for his reply further, she took her mobile away from her ear.

“Where are you now?”He asked her again, which made her flinch. She can't stop her tears and whimper anymore. She whines hard.

“I... I'm in North Street, R road near to the Galaxy bar”, she whimpers.

“Stay there, don't go anywhere till I arrive”, Telling that he hangs up the call. She didn't know what to do further. She goes towards the closed shop and leans herself against the door.

The atmosphere is somewhat fearing her. Staying alone in the dangerous street in the middle of wandering drunk people.

It's been 10 minutes, he hangs up the call. Maybe he already arrived at his home since he left the bar earlier. That time she heard intense footsteps along with a giggling sound.

She holds her bag tightly. The group of youngsters walks on that side with beer bottles in their hands.

The guy in that group noticed Revilla and gestured to them to look at the girl standing alone in the middle of the night. They stopped their talks and giggled. They approached her. Before she could walk away they trapped her in the middle. She is hella scared.

“Look at the beauty here... Girl did you get lost? Need big brother's help”, one guy puts his hand on her shoulder, She shakes off his hand and glares at him.

“Come on baby, don't you know what kind of place or pretending to be pure”, he teases his hair. She looks around for someone to help her.

Yeah, someone is there but it's not a guy or police. A slim tall girl wearing revealing bright color clothes with thick makeup. Followed by some other girls also coming there. Within minutes, that place looks somewhat different.

Those girls giggle and some girls come with their partners and go upstairs with them. She is so terrified by that atmosphere. Where the hell did that Elijah bring her? She only walks a few steps from where she gets out of the car and now ends up in the red-light area.

At first, she had a bad vibe but didn't think she would end up in a red light area which is famous for entertainment for those who are lusting over a sexy and beautiful girl with a perfect figure and good in bed.

“Why are you asking her, If she is not interested in this kind of thing, why does she have to stay here at this hour”, Another guy pinched her chin, and Revilla hissed in pain.

Did she wake up on the wrong side this morning? Why is this day terrible for her? One guy got close to her and almost kissed her, Revilla shut her eyes, and the tears flowed freely.

She only hears the screaming sound of the man and opens her eyes, Eryx is already there and the one who tries to kiss her is lying in the road with a face full of blood.

As soon as she saw him, she ran into him and hugged him tightly. There is no other warm place than a friend's warm embrace after a parent's hug. She cried out.

“I was scared, Eryx, I... I thought”, she sobbed hard.

“Shuu... I came right, don't cry”, he pats her gently. He worried about her terrible state. She is a cop who even knows self-defence so well but she can't use it just now.

With one glance at him with his ID card as a cop, those who just teased Revilla ran the hell away from them. She was still whimpering in his embrace.

“Can we go now, you must be exhausted”, he asked and she nodded quickly. He leads the way where his car is parked. They hop into the car. All the way home he didn't ask anything of her. It makes her more hurt.

He brings her to his private villa where he is living right now. He isn't living with his parents. After joining the criminology department, he moved out of the home even though their parents stopped him. They walk inside the villa.

“I don't have any female clothes at home, if you don't mind you can wear them in my unused ones. Make yourself at home”, He walks away from her while telling her, but she still stays silent. It's better for him to not ask her now because she has been suffering hard recently.

As a friend, he has to do everything that he can. He can't let her suffer in front of his eyes. He just led the way to the room she was going to stay in for the night. After making every arrangement he went to his room and threw himself on the comfy bed.

He can't express how he is feeling right now. Today his so-called friend came back to the city after four years. They didn't talk, not even a word. He is so indifferent and changed a lot and has a kid. He already had a kid but he told him that he loved Eryx four years ago. How come he didn't wait for his love but got married, from the point of view of Eryx, and had a child?

He can't accept the fact. That's why he left the bar in the name of sending his fiancee home. After leaving the bar, he made an excuse and left there and went to take fresh air on the bridge.

He stayed there for half an hour. That time he received a call from Revilla When he heard her voice, he confirmed that she was sad and heartbroken. How can't he know about his best friend? He knows all about Alex, Revilla, and Braylon. On Braylon's side, it's one step aside. He knows more about him.

Thinking about the sweet memories of them in college which made him bitter in those four years, he closes his eyes and tries to sleep. Maybe it will be a long night for him like other sleepless nights.
