267. A Strange Thief

Her phone.

That was the first thought that struck Heidi's mind.

No way! Her phone was inside that bag.

Her eyes darted around the dark parking lot. Due to her shock, she failed to realize the direction the man took.

Heidi stood there, the creepiness seeping into her bones. Discomfort settling in her mind, she quickly left the place and bumped into Kate coming down from the elevator.

“Where did you go, Heidi?” Kate said exasperatedly, looking haggard. “How the hell did you manage to escape that damned paparazzi?”

Heidi sighed. “Let's get out of here.”

She held Kate's hand, and hurried out of the place.

The bodyguards came down too late. Heidi wasn't even sure if they could catch her bag's thief.

“We should have ditched the mall!” Kate groaned. “You see what happens when everyone refuses to listen to my suggestion?”

Going to the hospital would have been better.

Now Heidi had lost her phone. The only source of communication with Grandpa Winston.
