“Mr. Harrison- Mr. Harrison, what's wrong?” Amanda frantically followed Lucas as he barged into the inn. “Did Ms. Olsen not like the food I made? I did my best to make it perfect.”

Lucas sat on the couch, his eyes flaming, his fists clenching and unclenching.

“Mr. Harrison,” Amanda called out. “Please answer me-”

Was her job safe?

Seeing Lucas Harrison this enraged, it was either someone irked him off or she was about to lose her job for doing a bad job at cooking his ex-wife's food.

“What is SK Tech's current net worth?”

Was it a new company he wanted to acquire?

Amanda fished out her phone and did a quick internet research. “They are second to none in the tech world. The SK Tech is located at GreyHills. Its CEO is Steve Anderson.”

Second to none.

Lucas's eyes glinted, a look of mischief flashing in them.

“M-Mr. Harrison,” Amanda stammered, not liking the look in his eyes. “Did anyone find your trouble?”

…“Mr. Harrison, this is all messed up,” Amanda reported to Lucas, her fingers trembling with the tablet in her hands. “Due to the network seizure, the GK Group has lost billions in only twenty-four hours. This has never happened before.”Lucas sat up straight, his eyes darkening.Inside the Villa, the air inside the living room froze, sending chills down the secretary's spine.Amanda wiped off her sweat. “Phoenix City has never experienced network seizure for once. The internet connection is so strong. It is strange that only the GK Group has been affected, though. Who did we offend now, Mr. Harrison? Only a top hacker can do this job.”“What was Ivan doing?” Lucas asked, his features hardening, his eyes narrowing into deadly slits.Amanda shook her head, anxiety washing over her face. “Ivan could do nothing. He did his best but wasn't able to restore the network in the area. Exactly twenty hours after the seizure started, it stopped. Mr. Harrison…”Amanda trailed off as Lucas raised

…“Ms. Olsen, he is here again.”Heidi's heart dropped, hearing Isla's report. She was sitting on the balcony, receiving fresh air and putting her signatures on some documents.“W-Who?” She stiffened, dreading to hear a particular person's name.“It is Mr. Malcom's son,” Isla exclaimed. “I think that guy is here to make trouble for us.”Not a day went by without Mr. Malcolm's son appearing inside the resort. To prevent further trouble from him, Heidi had gone to the lengths of having the yacht captain hire some local boys to fend him off always. “Why are they still on this Island?” She wondered. “Hasn't the property acquisition been finalized?”“He insists on meeting you, Ms. Olsen. Probably, he's not here for a fight. He didn't attempt to fight any of those men.”The men were strong enough to tackle Mr. Malcolm's son. He wouldn't dare.Heidi dropped her pen and rubbed her forehead tiredly. She stood up and followed Isla out of the resort.“We have to be careful, Ms. Olsen. Don't get

Because Kate's voice was too loud, Heidi didn't have to put it on handsfree for Isla to hear what she said.“Again?” Isla stuttered. “What did he do this time?”“Isla, you're still on the Island with Heidi, right?” Kate questioned through the phone. “If Lucas Harrison is also still there, will you do me a small favor? I want to send you a deadly poison through a boat's captain. You'll poison Lucas Harrison's food-”“Ah!” Isla yelped. “What's wrong, Kate? Why are you so enraged?” Heidi asked, her once forgotten anxiety returning multifold. “Remember Steve got back at him by cutting off his company's network for a day…” Kate paused to catch her breath. “Well, guess what Lucas Harrison did! He set my brother's goods on fire!”“No way!” Heidi sprang to her feet. “You're joking, aren't you?”“My brother was about to launch a new tech product, the rarest chip in the world. Everything had been set, then the explosion happened. Steve does not have any other enemy apart from Lucas Harrison.

How much do you miss me?”Damnit!Heidi cursed inside her mind, wondering if she'd entered the wrong Villa.Or probably, Lucas Harrison was possessed. What the hell was wrong with the man?“Hey, let go of me!” With the pillow still in her hand, she used it to push at his chest. Lucas didn't budge, and he trapped her on the bed, placing both hands beside her head. “I thought you missed me.”“The hell I missed you!” Heidi struggled, ignoring the fresh fragrance that seeped into her nose, invading her senses. “Lucas Harrison, let go of me.”“Call me sweetheart.”“Huh?”Heidi's brows creased into a frown. She carefully accessed his features, focusing on his eyes. Was he drunk? There was no sign of drunkenness in him, yet the silly smile on his face made her shudder inside. “Won't you call me sweetheart?” Hi

If you are tired of your mistress already, I am sure there are many other girls who admire you in Phoenix City.”“But I don't want any of those girls.” He pulled a hair strand out of her eyes, his expression tender. “Among all the girls in Phoenix City, you're the only one I want.”Heidi looked at him, and he stared back, neither blinking nor averting his gaze. Her heart did a strange drumming which she wished more than anything else that he wouldn't hear.“I don't admire you, Lucas.”“I know you once did,” he sighed. “Didn't you confess your love to me, Heidi? If not, the authorities will toss you out!”Lucas disregarded her words. “Heidi, please come back. After so many weeks, I finally had a good sleep. Will you not move in with me?”“Crazy man!!! Heidi sprang to a sitting position instantly, hearing the voice coming from the door. Dread washed over, and instinctively, she pulled her baby into her arms, her eyes darting around for any possible escape route. Heidi's first instinct was to flee, but to where?“Daddy?” Her daughter, on the other hand, jumped in excitement. “Hey, Mommy! It's Daddy! Daddy's here!”The door's handle shifted as someone juggled it from the outside. The sounds of knocking increased. “Heidi, are you inside?”Lost at what to do, Heidi just stared at the door, hugging her baby. Lucas barged into the room as he kicked the door open. He came to a screeching halt right in front of her, almost colliding into the bed. “Heidi…” as he whispered her name, Heidi's eyes locked into his. Heidi was confused too that of all people, Harold Olsen was the one who believed her.But from the look of guilt on his face and the way he sank onto the floor, literally kneeling in front of her, something was definitely fishy. “Heidi, please forgive me.”Heidi flinched when he held her knees. She stared at him, frowning. “Forgive you for what, Uncle?”“What did you do Dad!?” Zach hollered, his eyes filled with horror. The others looked fearful as well.Hanging his head, Harold shook it slowly. “I know saying this is probably too late. That night, Heidi didn't lose her child. When the police found her and Natalie, I orchestrated everything that happened after.”Several gasps spread across the room.Avoiding everyone's gaze, Harold said in a melancholic tone. “Having Heidi and Lucas Harrison together at that time meant the end of my sovereignty in this family. I did that to strip Heidi of her position- and…” He

All eyes snapped in Heidi's direction. As her sobs echoed in the living room, they all but sprang to their feet. “Ha! I'm also seeing her!” Natalie gasped. “That's impossible, right?”“Unless we're all out of our minds!” Kate cackled. “Because we all might be seeing Heidi.”Lifting her head, Heidi glanced at everyone's face. Her gaze stopped at her mother whose expression was deadly pale. “Th- This- This isn't Heidi. ~During the car ride, Heidi's mind was muddled with different kinds of thoughts that brought worry to her heart. Her only solace was the little girl sitting beside her, holding her hand. “You're so quiet, Mommy…” she asked, “Is everything alright?”Heidi smiled, parting her hair to the side. “I'm okay, Baby.”“Where are we headed?” She murmured, glancing out of the car's window. “You brought me back, Mommy. Are you gonna drop me off at Nanny's place and disappear again.”Smoothing the tiny frown on the girl's forehead, Heidi's heart ached as she kept repeating that word. Disappearing hadn't be easy, and appearing again would definitely incure many repercussions. Heidi picked her up and sat her on her lap, hugging her. “I'd rather die than to disappear again.”Here she was, loathing death, something she'd actually been craving for the past three years. Her heart was an ocean of emotions and her tears never dried up, so much that her eyes were hurting. “Please, Mommy, stop crying

We'll stay in this paradise forever.”“Don't mind them, I won't let you go.” Heidi patted her hair. She stared at Jason and Freya, communicating with her eyes. The two gave her crestfallen looks and sighed at the same time. That Night;Heidi rested on her bed, holding the baby close, and sniffing the familiar scent on her. Citrus mixed with lavender. The scent of the Harrisons Villa. A scent that only belonged to the man she loved. Whenever she thought of him in the past, she'd feel hate and remorse, but now… the thought of him brought fear to her heart, and a regret she couldn't deny. Beside her, the little girl shifted. She opened her sleepy eyes, her wide milky eyes blinking. “Why aren't you sleeping, Mommy?”“I just love staring at you.” H

From caressing the girl's hair, Heidi found herself drawing her close, wrapping her in a gentle embrace. “What's your name?” Uncertainty filling her heart, she asked in a hoarse voice. The little girl neither struggled nor made a sound of discomfort, she in fact snuggled deeper into Heidi's embrace. She murmured, “Nanny calls me Didi, but Daddy calls me Heidi.”Heidi shut her eyes, swallowing down a sudden lump in her throat. A soft laughter escaped her lips. “That's a beautiful name you have, Baby.”However, the little girl pulled away, furrowing her brows. “But my first Mommy dislikes it. She once argued with Daddy about it.”“Oh, is that so?” Sniffing back the tears threatening to burst out, Heidi forced a smile. “Why doesn't she like your name?”“Because she's a meanie.
