198. Where She Slept

Fortunately, something else caught Isla's attention before she investigated further.

Her phone rang and she answered it. “Oh, you guys are here?” She said. “Then come straight to the resort, Ms. Olsen will be waiting for you.”

Isla hung up and hurried Heidi up. “It's the crew from the construction company. They're almost near, Ms. Olsen. Please get ready.”

“Are the documents ready?” Heidi asked, and Isla nodded.

“I spent the whole night last night preparing them.”

Heidi hurried inside the resort. She took a bath, and changed into a silky white blouse, almost transparent, atop a mini short.

And she lingered in front of the mirror, studying her figure, her palms cupping her abdomen.

Her eyes turned sullen and she blew out a sigh.

Should she be relieved that her baby bump hadn't started showing yet?

Once it appeared, would people notice it? How would she be able to walk around without being self-aware of the peering gazes?
