111. Requesting A Meditation Certificate

“Heidi, you're here,” Lucas whispered, sitting next to her.

Heidi looked away, ignoring his gentleness. “I came early because I didn't want to keep the lawyer waiting.”

Her indifferent reply dampened his hope. When he saw her in his office, Lucas almost forgot about the impending doom: finalizing the divorce.

“Mr. Harrison, Mrs. Harrison, if you need anything please let me know,” Amanda excused herself.

After the secretary left, Lucas shifted close to Heidi and she shifted away.

Lucas sighed. “Why don't you want to come back to me, Heidi?”

Heidi gave him a scornful look. “I hate repeating the same thing over and over again.”

“You're not giving me a clear answer.”

“Is disliking you enough reason?”

Lucas was hurt by her words, especially when she said she disliked him.

He stared at her side profile, her lips were pursed and her eyes were cold.

Lucas murmured, “What if the lawyer never comes?”

“She isn't the only lawyer on the earth, is she?” Heidi rolled her eyes. “We'll still finalize
