“No one's going to settle any differences.” Heidi folded her hands. “I no longer want to live with a selfish man who neither respects me nor my feelings.”

“Didn't you say you love me?” Lucas felt dejected.

“Not anymore,” Heidi chortled. “Feelings can change, Mr. Harrison.”

“Are you sure?” Lucas pulled her close by her waist, making their bodies collide. “Are you sure that there's no longer room for me in your heart, Heidi?”

“Hey, let go of me.” Heidi panicked. “Let me go otherwise I will scream and let the employees know that you're assaulting me in your office!”

Lucas quickly let go of her, his eyes filled with helplessness. “Where are you off to? Where do you live? Who are you living with, Heidi?”

“It's none of your business.” Heidi smoothened the creases on her cloth, glowering at him.

Lucas reminded her, “Remember I am still your husband since the divorce hasn't been finalized yet.”

“You mean half-husband?” Heidi snickered. “It's useless, you know.”
