As soon as Connor had assembled a team to come with us, we met in the middle of the pack and Connor explained the plan to them. They needed to cover the packhouse just in case there were a couple of strays lurking around. But Connor and I were going to be in the packhouse and we were going to need them to watch our backs. We got in the cars after that and drove to my old pack. Connor and I were in the third car along the convoy and I was being really quiet the whole way back there. I wasn’t sure if dad had cleaned out the whole packhouse or if he left in a hurry. I didn’t know if he had cleaned out his office or not and taken everything with him that I was looking for. He may have forgotten all about it, or there might not have ever been anything to find. I really didn’t know. But I knew that I needed to go and see for myself. And I didn’t like not knowing where he was, so I had to try and find some indication of where he might be located right now. He was in a secret locati
Hi there. I know that it’s been an incredibly long time since I have updated this book. If you haven’t already guessed I got a bit of writers block when it came to this story and I got started on other projects. So, I am going to do something here that I haven’t done before. I am going to let you lovely readers have a voice here. I would love to hear suggestions on where I should take the book from here. Nothing too in-depth. Just an idea that I can build on. I love to hear from you and hear what great ideas you come up with. And look out for the honourable mention of your names.
We figured out that dad did leave a few warriors behind and the warriors were out searching for them now. They were going through this whole town. “Dad made notes in here. He believed that my mother was having an affair and that he wasn’t my real father. I really hope it’s true.” I said. “But then he knocked my mother out and ordered his Beta to get rid of her and make it look like a rogue attack. He ordered the Beta to take me as well, but something must have happened to change his mind.” I said. “That’s all written in the file?” He asked. “Oh, no. I had a vision while I was holding the file.” I said. “Okay. That’s strange, but I wouldn’t put that past you at the moment.” He said. I went back to the filing cabinet and I had a look for my file and then for Nico Griffin, but he didn’t have a file. I guessed that he wasn’t a part of this pack. I started walking around the room, touching all the surfaces that I could to see if I could get another vision. But nothing came to m
When we got back to the pack we went to Miles’ house but I couldn’t help but stop and look at the progress of our house that was being built. They were really getting into it. I had a feeling that we would be moving back into it in the next couple of days. But as soon as we got back to Miles’ house, Connor got on his computer and started going through his personal files. Luckily Miles had a back up of everything that the Alpha was working on, in case anything was damaged. So they would always have a copy. I saw him going through some really old files, dating back to when he was still living with his father. They looked like stolen files from his father, but I didn’t ask any questions. I started making us something to eat while Connor was consumed by the computer in front of him at the kitchen table. I saw him highlighting different things on the computer that he obviously thought was important. And I was a little afraid to ask what he had found. We all sat there eating in sil
“This is so surreal.” I said, as I was staring at Elsa. “I know. But I can help you train better this way. Do you want to?” She asked. “Yes.” I said. “Alright. Keep concentrating. We’re working on your powers here. You don’t need me for your powers. You need to find them within yourself.” She said. “From my royal background.” I said. “You are the last direct descendant of the royal king. So, you are the one that holds all the power. Even if you have relatives out there, they don’t have this power that you do. They’re just werewolves.” She said. “Okay. So, I have to depend on myself to learn these powers.” I said. “Unfortunately. But I will help you. Raise your hand out in front of you.” She said. So I raised my hand out, palm down, in front of me. I shut my eyes to concentrate and I was following every instruction that Elsa was giving me. I had to find it deep within myself. It’s going to be hard at first, but it will get easier over time. Once I have tapped into the
CONNOR POV I think it was pretty safe to say that Aurora’s wolf was helping her expand her powers. Which I was really happy about. But not when it almost takes my head off. Yeah, alright. I shouldn’t have snuck up behind her. But I was really interested in what they were doing and once I saw that ball of energy in her hands, I had to get a closer look. I should have been more careful not to startle her the way that I did. “I am so sorry.” Aurora said, looking at me with fear in her eyes. Oh shit. She thinks she’s in trouble. She thinks I’m mad at her. “It’s alright. Don’t apologize. I shouldn’t have snuck up on you. That was actually pretty cool.” I said, moving over to her but she looked a little skittish as I was getting closer. “I’m just trying out what I can do. Elsa is letting me know everything I can do. She says that this is only small stuff. I’m a little worried about what the big stuff is going to be.” She said. “I’m excited about seeing it.” “I probably won’t
AURORA POV I looked at Connor as he stood in the kitchen frozen with broken glass all around him on the floor. “Who the hell told you that?” He asked. “No one told me. No one had to. I thought it was Miles at first, but he doesn’t have a reason to not take care of her or the baby. You do have a reason. Me.” I said. “You figured it out on your own?” “That and everyone starts acting really weird around me whenever I ask about the baby. And they get even weirder when I say that it’s Miles’ baby.” I said. “Shit. Look, there’s no proof that it’s mine. She said that it was. I don’t know if that’s true. Listen, there were a lot of girls going through my house at that time. But that was before I met you.” He said. “I know. I just want to know why you lied to me? Why didn’t you just trust me and tell me the truth?” I asked. “I was scared. I didn’t want you to leave me. And I was scared that you would think I was going to let that baby take over as heir to this pack.” He said.
I ended up falling asleep in that tree but I woke up the next morning in the spare bedroom and Connor was asleep next to me. I went to the kitchen and Miles was there with a coffee, leaning against the bench looking out the window at the warriors training. “Morning.” He said. “Hi. How did I end up inside?” I asked. “Connor brought you in after you fell asleep.” He said. “I was up a damn tree. How the hell did he not wake me up?” I asked, pouring myself a coffee. “You’ll have to ask him that.” Miles smirked. “What have you got planned today?” I asked. “I don’t know. There’s training, more training and more training.” He said. “That sounds like the obvious choice then.” I said. “Yeah. Kind of does, doesn’t it.” He said. “What about you?” He asked. “I have to try and find a hidden castle.” I said. “That doesn’t make any sense.” He said. “I know. But it will when I find it.” I said. “Good luck with that then.” He said. “Thanks.” I said. I didn’t wait for Conn
