As everyone was staring at me, I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell they were going to warn them about. I hadn’t done anything wrong. I certainly hadn’t done anything wrong to Connor or his pack. What were they talking about? “Why the hell would you need to warn us about my mate?” Connor growled at them. “She’s going to bring this territory nothing but trouble.” The man in the front said. “Who the hell are you?” Connor asked. “Alpha Joshua. And these are my men, Eli, Everett and Jose. We’re from the Blue River Pack.” He announced. “The Blue River Pack is located 2 hours north of here. What the hell are you doing involving yourself in our business?” Connor asked, walking down the stairs. “We like to know what’s going on near our pack. And what dangers are possibly hanging around. And that girl up there, is the biggest danger that we have ever seen.” Alpha Joshua said. “She’s my mate. So if you want to keep your tongue, I suggest you watch what you fucking say.” Connor
I was really interested to know what that pack had against me. I mean, we were far enough away from each other so that they weren’t going to get pulled into any of our problems. And they could turn a blind eye if they wanted to. We weren’t asking for their help and Connor would never do that anyway. He was the Alpha of the Protectors. He would be the last person to ask for help. After breakfast Connor left the house to go and see Alpha Joshua while I cleaned the kitchen and I was really curious about what was going on. I could see Connor disappear into the woods behind our house but that was as far as I could see. The border was a lot further through the woods, and Alpha Joshua wasn’t coming near the border. So, Connor would have to walk out there a fair way before he found him. I was getting really nervous in the house, waiting for Connor to come back, so I went to the training field that was behind our house and that no one was allowed to go near. Connor told everyone that i
When I got upstairs, I went into the bathroom and I put my hand under the running water to wash away the blood. Connor came to the doorway and he saw what I was doing and he looked really concerned. He had no idea what was going on and why I smashed that glass. “Aurora. Talk to me.” He said. “I’m sorry. It’s nothing.” I said, trying to hold back the tears. “It is something. Tell me.” He said walking into the room and helping me with my hand. “Memories just appear to me sometimes. I don’t want them to. They just do.” I said. “Alright. What the hell made you smash that glass.” He said. “Nathan.” I said. And Connor nodded his head in understanding. He bandaged up my hand, but we knew that those cuts would be gone shortly. They weren’t going to be there for very long. Connor got me to go back downstairs with him to have something to eat. I needed to keep up my strength if we were going to keep training like this every day. So I had something to eat but I was pretty qui
CONNOR POV As soon as the light died down I came to my senses and I looked up at my demolished house and the smoke was still clearing. I wiped the rain out of my face to try and see properly and I was sure that Aurora was dead. How could anyone survive that? But then I saw a figure appear from the dust, she was slowly walking across the rubble, finding her way out of the house and she stopped at the front of the house to look at me. “Connor.” She whimpered out. I ran straight to her and she collapsed in my arms and I sat down on the ground with her head resting on me. Leo had medical experience so he ran over and started checking her over. She didn’t have a scratch on her, she didn’t seem to be injured in any way. So what the hell is going on. “All of her vitals are really strong.” Leo said. “Then why did she collapse?” I asked. “More importantly, how the hell is she still alive?” Thomas asked. I looked around at the pack and my house was the only one that was hit by
AURORA POV I woke up in a bed that I didn’t recognise. The last thing I remember was hiding in the living room of my house during that thunder storm. There were things flying from the sky that scared me and I was hiding, hoping that I wasn’t going to get hurt. And then I woke up in this bed. I pulled the covers off of me and I stood up, feeling this power that I had never felt before. I looked down at my hands and I could see electrical sparks moving up and down my arms. I walked out of the room and looked around the house, not knowing whose house this was. There were no pictures or anything to indicate the owner so I opened the front door to see where I was. I was at the other side of the pack and it looked really dead around here. I could see our house at the other end, smashed to nothing. But that isn’t what got my attention. It was the noise coming from beyond my house. I could hear a battle raging on in the woods. So I stepped out into the rain and I started running tow
Connor obviously didn’t believe Colt. That was something that he was going to have to earn. So he was put up in a house with no children and three warriors living in that house who were going to be hovering over him 24 hours a day. And they weren’t going to be subtle about it. Connor wanted him to know that he wasn’t trusted. Especially not coming from my father’s pack. But we listened to what he said and he told us everything that he could about this government agency that my father had enlisted help from and it didn’t sound like any other government agency that we had ever heard of before. It was something so much worse. They knew all the tricks in dealing with werewolves, vampires, witches…everything that wasn’t human. It was really scary to hear actually. I never really thought an agency like that existed. But I was wrong and I was now going to pay the price for it. Connor and I were staying at Miles’ house for the time being and we were in bed that night trying to get some sleep,
As soon as Connor had assembled a team to come with us, we met in the middle of the pack and Connor explained the plan to them. They needed to cover the packhouse just in case there were a couple of strays lurking around. But Connor and I were going to be in the packhouse and we were going to need them to watch our backs. We got in the cars after that and drove to my old pack. Connor and I were in the third car along the convoy and I was being really quiet the whole way back there. I wasn’t sure if dad had cleaned out the whole packhouse or if he left in a hurry. I didn’t know if he had cleaned out his office or not and taken everything with him that I was looking for. He may have forgotten all about it, or there might not have ever been anything to find. I really didn’t know. But I knew that I needed to go and see for myself. And I didn’t like not knowing where he was, so I had to try and find some indication of where he might be located right now. He was in a secret locati
Hi there. I know that it’s been an incredibly long time since I have updated this book. If you haven’t already guessed I got a bit of writers block when it came to this story and I got started on other projects. So, I am going to do something here that I haven’t done before. I am going to let you lovely readers have a voice here. I would love to hear suggestions on where I should take the book from here. Nothing too in-depth. Just an idea that I can build on. I love to hear from you and hear what great ideas you come up with. And look out for the honourable mention of your names.
We got to the hospital in record time as soon as I went into labor and I could tell that Connor was panicking. And to tell you the truth, it was driving me crazy. I was taken straight to the birthing suite that was done up, just for me. A private room with all the perfect amenities that I didn’t ask them to do but no one would take no for an answer. And Connor wanted the best for me and his baby. As soon as we got there the doctor came to examine me and he said that this baby was in a hurry. It wasn’t going to be a very long labor at all. By the time I had to start pushing Connor was really getting under my skin. “Alright, baby. You can do this.” Connor said. “No shit. I don’t really have a fucking choice now, do I?” I yelled. “It’s alright. I know that it’s just the pain talking.” He said. “No. It isn’t. You’re pissing me off. Shut the fuck up and stop touching me. That’s what put me here in the first place.” I yelled. So he stopped touching me, but he stayed right beside
AURORA POV As soon as I came through that portal, I knew it worked and that I was home again. I came through at the same place as when I went to the other realm. And I knew my way back to the castle just fine. I started running back to the castle, but I was slower these days with the stomach weighing me down. But as soon as I started getting that really funny feeling I started pushing myself to go faster and harder. Connor was in trouble and I needed to get to him now. As soon as I got to the castle, I saw wolves running off into the forest, but Connor was at the castle. I followed my feeling and his strongest scent around to the patio, only to see him standing on it and ready to jump off of it and kill himself. I practically flew through the air to tackle him backwards onto the patio, and I hurt myself as I landed as well. It wasn’t a soft landing. I stayed there for a moment when I heard Connor get up and he gasped as soon as he saw me. I managed to get up and look
Just as I was regaining my composure from being slammed onto the stone ground of the patio I growled as I got to my feet quickly, ready to abuse and scream at whoever stopped me from getting the only release from this prison that I had been living in. But when I turned to look, I saw the blonde hair covering the face of the person that was facing away from me, laying on her side on the ground. “Aurora.” I said, almost like I didn’t believe it. She turned her face to look at me, her bright blue eyes shining in the moonlight, looking straight at me. I dove on the ground next to her and wrapped her in my arms. I felt all over her back and her hair and the side of her face, just to make sure that she was real. “Is it really you?” I asked. “Of course it’s me.” She said. She slowly started getting up, but I noticed that she was having trouble. And that’s when I noticed her swollen stomach. “Oh my god.” I said. “How long have I been gone?” She asked. “You don’t know?” I ask
CONNOR POV I was laying in bed next to an empty vodka bottle when someone started banging on my bedroom door. I laid there ignoring it until the door banged open and I saw Miles standing there with his new mate Emma. “Get out.” I said, rolling over. “Connor. You need to get your ass out of this bed.” Miles demanded. But I laid there, not saying anything to him. I didn’t have anything to say to him. “Alpha. You need to get up. This pack is depending on you. They need their leader.” “Their Queen is dead.” I said. “You don’t know that.” Miles yelled. “She’s been gone for two and a half months. She would have come back to me by now. She’s dead.” I said. “Maybe she just can’t find a way back. We’ve been researching how to open a portal and we’ve come up completely empty. Maybe she can’t figure it out either.” Emma said. “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” I said. “Alpha. The people need you.” Miles said. But I grabbed my blanket and I pulled it up over my head. I heard th
It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here. Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home. As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news. “You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked. “As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said. “I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said. So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle. “Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.
As the dragon and I were battling it out, it started to realize that we weren’t going to be easy prey. When it had been distracted long enough, Arthur and his men snuck around the side and used their swords to slice the dragon’s legs. It was enough to get it’s attention and it fell back slightly, drawing it fire back from me and giving me the advantage. I released my fire at the dragon again, hitting it directly in the middle of the chest and causing it to catch on fire. It stumbled around and back into the middle of the mountain until it fell to the ground and didn’t get back up. I walked to the edge of the cliff that the dragon had fallen over and I saw Mila and another blonde woman, dressed in black also, staring up at me. Not believing what they just saw. “Did you really think I was going to let you get away this time?” I asked. “What have you done?” The woman screeched, running to her fallen dragon. “I stopped that beast from killing me. I’m sure that anyone would
I was pushed out of the way at the last second by someone who was then thrown down the hall by the electric blast. I heard Arthur start yelling and I turned around to see Uther on the ground and Arthur’s men were surrounding him. Mila started approaching us again, striking at us however she could, but I noticed that her anger was causing her to be careless and reckless. She wasn’t hitting anyone. She was just aiming towards them and hitting the building around them. So I got up and instead of using any magic against her right now, I charged at her and tackled her to the ground. I got up and kicked her in the face and stopped on her chest, causing her to have trouble breathing for a moment. I stood back and she rolled to the side and she saw the blood coming from her face, wiping it away with her hand. She looked even angrier after that, but before she had a chance to react, I kicked her in the stomach and punched her in the throat. She fell back against the wall and I gr
Knowing that my pregnancy was progressing like it would be in my world, I was unsure of just how long it would take for me to give birth. I could only have a week or two for all I know. Arthur looked really worried about it as well. I don’t think he was all that keen about having to deliver a baby. We saw the witch disappear with his soldiers and there was no way to warn the men at his castle, in case the witch was planning on attacking them. We were both worried for so many reasons and they weren’t small worries either. “Listen. I might be able to get us out of here but it’s not going to be pleasant. I just need to try and control the magic that she’s placed on the bars.” I explained. “How are you going to do that? Won’t that be dangerous and harmful?” Arthur asked.“I can handle it.” I said.“What about the baby? Are you willing to take that risk?” He asked.“What else are we meant to do? Just sit here and wait until she’s decided what shes going to do with us? I can guarantee
Arthur and I noticed that we were locked in that room alone, his other men had been captured by her soldiers somewhere along the route to the room, but we were too interested in what was happening right in front of us. Medea’s dead body and all. “I hope you don’t think this cage will hold me for long.” I said. “No. Just long enough to wipe out his army.” She said, looking at Arthur. We then heard a lot of shouting outside, so we ran to the window that also had bars on it and the soldiers outside were being attacked by Sphinx’s and Pegusas’ soldiers. They weren’t outnumbered, but they were taken by surprise and they were being attacked from all sides. “My men will tear through that pathetic army that you have down there.” Arthur said. “Maybe. But not for a while. And not without losing a lot of your men as well.” The witch smirked, before disappearing in another cloud of smoke. “Can you get out of this cage?” Arthur asked. “Yeah. But just give me a minute.” I said. “What d
