As the warriors stood on, watching helplessly, I managed to gather enough strength to get back to my feet and the ghost stopped smiling at me and I looked straight in his face and I mustered up whatever energy I could and the bright light got even brighter until it started screeching and finally let go of me and it was dragged from the house again. I hung up the phone and I looked at Connor who was standing in the living room looking at me really confused while holding his bag. “Who’s Nathan?” He asked again. “He’s the son of one of my dad’s Alpha friends.” I said. “And doesn’t he think that you’re dead?” Connor asked. “No. Nathan and his father know that I’m alive. As everyone was staring at me, I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell they were going to warn them about. I hadn’t done anything wrong. I certainly hadn’t done anything wrong to Connor or his pack. What were they talking about? “Why the hell would you need to warn us about my mate?” Connor growled at them. “She’s going to bring this territory nothing but trouble.” The man in the front said. “Who the hell are you?” Connor asked. “Alpha Joshua. And these are my men, Eli, Everett and Jose. We’re from the Blue River Pack.” He announced. “The Blue River Pack is located 2 hours north of here. What the hell are you doing involving yourself in our business?” Connor asked, walking down the stairs. “We like to know what’s going on near our pack. And what dangers are possibly hanging around. I was really interested to know what that pack had against me. I mean, we were far enough away from each other so that they weren’t going to get pulled into any of our problems. When I got upstairs, I went into the bathroom and I put my hand under the running water to wash away the blood. Connor came to the doorway and he saw what I was doing and he looked really concerned. He had no idea what was going on and why I smashed that glass. “Aurora. Talk to me.” He said. “I’m sorry. It’s nothing.” I said, trying to hold back the tears. “It is something. CONNOR POV As soon as the light died down I came to my senses and I looked up at my demolished house and the smoke was still clearing. I wiped the rain out of my face to try and see properly and I was sure that Aurora was dead. How could anyone survive that? AURORA POV I woke up in a bed that I didn’t recognise. The last thing I remember was hiding in the living room of my house during that thunder storm. There were things flying from the sky that scared me and I was hiding, hoping that I wasn’t going to get hurt. And then I woke up in this bed. I pulled the covers off of me and I stood up, feeling this power that I had never felt before. I looked down at my hands and I could see electrical sparks moving up and down my arms. I walked out of the room and looked around the house, not knowing whose house this was. There were no pictures or anything to indicate the owner so I opened the front door to see where I was. Connor obviously didn’t believe Colt. That was something that he was going to have to earn. So he was put up in a house with no children and three warriors living in that house who were going to be hovering over him 24 hours a day. And they weren’t going to be subtle about it. But we listened to what he said and he told us everything that he could about this government agency that my father had enlisted help from and it didn’t sound like any other government agency that we had ever heard of before. We got to the hospital in record time as soon as I went into labor and I could tell that Connor was panicking. And to tell you the truth, it was driving me crazy. I was taken straight to the birthing suite that was done up, just for me. A private room with all the perfect amenities that I didn’t ask them to do but no one would take no for an answer. AURORA POV As soon as I came through that portal, I knew it worked and that I was home again. I came through at the same place as when I went to the other realm. And I knew my way back to the castle just fine. I started running back to the castle, but I was slower these days with the stomach weighing me down. But as soon as I started getting that really funny feeling I started pushing myself to go faster and harder. Connor was in trouble and I needed to get to him now. As soon as I got to the castle, I saw wolves running off into the forest, but Connor was at the castle. I followed my feeling and his strongest scent around to the patio, only to see him standing on it and ready to jump off of it and kill himself. CONNOR POV I was laying in bed next to an empty vodka bottle when someone started banging on my bedroom door. I laid there ignoring it until the door banged open and I saw Miles standing there with his new mate Emma. “Get out.” I said, rolling over. “Connor. It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here. Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home. As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news. “You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked. “As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said. “I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said. So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle. “Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.

As the dragon and I were battling it out, it started to realize that we weren’t going to be easy prey. When it had been distracted long enough, Arthur and his men snuck around the side and used their swords to slice the dragon’s legs. I heard Arthur start yelling and I turned around to see Uther on the ground and Arthur’s men were surrounding him.
