We headed through town and Connor was walking pretty fast and not going in a straight line. We were going down all different streets and we were circling around for a bit. I didn't know his plan here, but I trusted him to get us out of here in one piece. "What happened to all of your cars?" I asked. "A lot of the other pack members took them and some were destroyed when we were attacked." He says. "I can't believe they found your pack. Connor, it's all because of me. Wouldn't it just be easier if you were on your own?" I asked as I stopped walking. He quickly looked around at our surroundings before he relaxed a little and took a step closer to me and put his hands on my arms. "Aurora. You're my mate. I'm not leaving you. If I have to leave my entire pack and make Miles the Alpha, in order to protect you, then I will." He says. "Why? You don't even know me. You can reject me whenever you want. I'm surprised that you haven't already done it." I say. "Because I would never do
Connor had realized that they noticed me standing there and he got between us and he ordered me back in the cave. Vampires and werewolves were mortal enemies. They have been at war for centuries, and when they're not actually battling it out on the battlefield then they are trying to work out how to wipe out the other species. But as I stood there, in the presence of these vampires, I could tell that something was off about them. I didn't go back into the cave like Connor had ordered me. Instead I stepped out of the cave and I walked right up behind Connor. I could see the panic on his face. He obviously thought that this battle was going to end with me getting hurt or killed. But the vampires weren't attacking. They were just staring at me. "You're not here to kill us." I say. "What are you talking about? Their vampires. Of course they're going to kill us." Connor snapped at me. "No. They aren't." I said matter of factly. And I saw the poses on the vampires relax a little. "You
Connor took me to the house that was at the top of the village and was definitely the biggest and when I walked inside I was really surprised at what I saw. This place was relatively new and it was really nice inside. Apparently his whole pack had built this place themselves, in secret. Which is why there are so many more people here than I thought were in his pack. I think there were a lot more in his pack that he had spread out. Possibly building this place, or possibly somewhere else so no one knows exactly how big his army really is. They had built Connor a two story place, but it wasn't massive like Father's packhouse. It wasn't a mansion or anything. It was more homely than anything. Connor took me upstairs and he showed me my bedroom which was right across the hall from his bedroom. I was glad that he wasn't trying to push anything on me still. And he had an ensuite in his room but there was another bathroom next to my room. But I was alright with that. Connor went to go
I knew that Connor needed to get some rest, but it was important for them to get to this pack to find these children that were in need. The pack was 8 hours away and Connor insisted on getting some rest in the car on the way there. I was fine with that. Just so long as he did, because I didn’t want him to have an accident while he was fighting in that pack. If it came to that. It would have been ideal if they could get in there without anyone seeing them, but that was very unlikely. While Connor was packing his bag, I could feel his worry and tension as he was trying to concentrate on what he needed to do. But I knew that he wasn’t worried about himself anymore. “You don’t need to worry about me.” I said. And he looked up at me in confusion. “How did you know that I was worried about you?” He asked. “I just did. You’ve already got 12 warriors on 24 hour surveillance of the house and they are in groups of 6 and they all have 12 hour shifts each. Nothing will get through the
I stood there looking at the shadow ghostly figure that was standing across my kitchen, trying to make sense of what I was looking at. “What are you?” I asked. “I was sent here by the black witch. She says that you can’t hide.” He said. “Then why isn’t she here to tell me that?” I asked. “Because you’re surrounded by werewolves.” He said. “Bullshit. That didn’t stop her last time. She doesn’t know where I am.” I said. “She will find you. She will always find you. As long as you have the power, she will find that power.” He said. “That’s how she sent you here. She’s picking up on my power and using that against me. But she doesn’t actually know where I am.” I said, more to myself than to the creature. “Shut up. She will always find you.” “Are you speaking for this ghost, black witch?” I asked. “Of course I am.” He said. “Well, good luck. You couldn’t grab me last time. You barely even hurt me.” “That was before I knew what you could do. I will be better prepared
As the warriors stood on, watching helplessly, I managed to gather enough strength to get back to my feet and the ghost stopped smiling at me and I looked straight in his face and I mustered up whatever energy I could and the bright light got even brighter until it started screeching and finally let go of me and it was dragged from the house again. The light quickly disappeared and I collapsed to the ground when it was over and the warriors ran over to me. One of them pulled my hair out of the way to see my chest and there was a burn mark of a handprint on my chest, and I could tell that they didn’t know what to do. Leo soon arrived at the house after they had mind linked him and I asked him to just help me get back to bed. There was nothing that they could do about it. “What was that thing trying to do?” Leo asked as I got back into bed. “I don’t know. He wanted to hurt me, that’s for sure. But I don’t know what he wanted to do.” I said. “Alright. Well, you need to rest.
I hung up the phone and I looked at Connor who was standing in the living room looking at me really confused while holding his bag. “Who’s Nathan?” He asked again. “He’s the son of one of my dad’s Alpha friends.” I said. “And doesn’t he think that you’re dead?” Connor asked. “No. Nathan and his father know that I’m alive. Because my dad tried to arrange a marriage between me and Nathan.” I said. “You were engaged to him?” Connor asked, his eyes flickering from black and then back to their normal blue. “I guess you can call it that. I wouldn’t even say that. It was an agreement that our father’s made. Nathan wanted to because it was easier than finding a mate and he’s just as sadistic as everyone else. I didn’t want anything to do with it. I swear. Nathan was just looking for his own personal punching bag.” I said. And Connor looked at me curiously. “Did Nathan ever actually hit you?” He asked. “Yeah. He did. The first time we met. Dad left us in the attic to get to kno
As everyone was staring at me, I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell they were going to warn them about. I hadn’t done anything wrong. I certainly hadn’t done anything wrong to Connor or his pack. What were they talking about? “Why the hell would you need to warn us about my mate?” Connor growled at them. “She’s going to bring this territory nothing but trouble.” The man in the front said. “Who the hell are you?” Connor asked. “Alpha Joshua. And these are my men, Eli, Everett and Jose. We’re from the Blue River Pack.” He announced. “The Blue River Pack is located 2 hours north of here. What the hell are you doing involving yourself in our business?” Connor asked, walking down the stairs. “We like to know what’s going on near our pack. And what dangers are possibly hanging around. And that girl up there, is the biggest danger that we have ever seen.” Alpha Joshua said. “She’s my mate. So if you want to keep your tongue, I suggest you watch what you fucking say.” Connor
We got to the hospital in record time as soon as I went into labor and I could tell that Connor was panicking. And to tell you the truth, it was driving me crazy. I was taken straight to the birthing suite that was done up, just for me. A private room with all the perfect amenities that I didn’t ask them to do but no one would take no for an answer. And Connor wanted the best for me and his baby. As soon as we got there the doctor came to examine me and he said that this baby was in a hurry. It wasn’t going to be a very long labor at all. By the time I had to start pushing Connor was really getting under my skin. “Alright, baby. You can do this.” Connor said. “No shit. I don’t really have a fucking choice now, do I?” I yelled. “It’s alright. I know that it’s just the pain talking.” He said. “No. It isn’t. You’re pissing me off. Shut the fuck up and stop touching me. That’s what put me here in the first place.” I yelled. So he stopped touching me, but he stayed right beside
AURORA POV As soon as I came through that portal, I knew it worked and that I was home again. I came through at the same place as when I went to the other realm. And I knew my way back to the castle just fine. I started running back to the castle, but I was slower these days with the stomach weighing me down. But as soon as I started getting that really funny feeling I started pushing myself to go faster and harder. Connor was in trouble and I needed to get to him now. As soon as I got to the castle, I saw wolves running off into the forest, but Connor was at the castle. I followed my feeling and his strongest scent around to the patio, only to see him standing on it and ready to jump off of it and kill himself. I practically flew through the air to tackle him backwards onto the patio, and I hurt myself as I landed as well. It wasn’t a soft landing. I stayed there for a moment when I heard Connor get up and he gasped as soon as he saw me. I managed to get up and look
Just as I was regaining my composure from being slammed onto the stone ground of the patio I growled as I got to my feet quickly, ready to abuse and scream at whoever stopped me from getting the only release from this prison that I had been living in. But when I turned to look, I saw the blonde hair covering the face of the person that was facing away from me, laying on her side on the ground. “Aurora.” I said, almost like I didn’t believe it. She turned her face to look at me, her bright blue eyes shining in the moonlight, looking straight at me. I dove on the ground next to her and wrapped her in my arms. I felt all over her back and her hair and the side of her face, just to make sure that she was real. “Is it really you?” I asked. “Of course it’s me.” She said. She slowly started getting up, but I noticed that she was having trouble. And that’s when I noticed her swollen stomach. “Oh my god.” I said. “How long have I been gone?” She asked. “You don’t know?” I ask
CONNOR POV I was laying in bed next to an empty vodka bottle when someone started banging on my bedroom door. I laid there ignoring it until the door banged open and I saw Miles standing there with his new mate Emma. “Get out.” I said, rolling over. “Connor. You need to get your ass out of this bed.” Miles demanded. But I laid there, not saying anything to him. I didn’t have anything to say to him. “Alpha. You need to get up. This pack is depending on you. They need their leader.” “Their Queen is dead.” I said. “You don’t know that.” Miles yelled. “She’s been gone for two and a half months. She would have come back to me by now. She’s dead.” I said. “Maybe she just can’t find a way back. We’ve been researching how to open a portal and we’ve come up completely empty. Maybe she can’t figure it out either.” Emma said. “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” I said. “Alpha. The people need you.” Miles said. But I grabbed my blanket and I pulled it up over my head. I heard th
It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here. Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home. As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news. “You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked. “As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said. “I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said. So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle. “Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.
As the dragon and I were battling it out, it started to realize that we weren’t going to be easy prey. When it had been distracted long enough, Arthur and his men snuck around the side and used their swords to slice the dragon’s legs. It was enough to get it’s attention and it fell back slightly, drawing it fire back from me and giving me the advantage. I released my fire at the dragon again, hitting it directly in the middle of the chest and causing it to catch on fire. It stumbled around and back into the middle of the mountain until it fell to the ground and didn’t get back up. I walked to the edge of the cliff that the dragon had fallen over and I saw Mila and another blonde woman, dressed in black also, staring up at me. Not believing what they just saw. “Did you really think I was going to let you get away this time?” I asked. “What have you done?” The woman screeched, running to her fallen dragon. “I stopped that beast from killing me. I’m sure that anyone would
I was pushed out of the way at the last second by someone who was then thrown down the hall by the electric blast. I heard Arthur start yelling and I turned around to see Uther on the ground and Arthur’s men were surrounding him. Mila started approaching us again, striking at us however she could, but I noticed that her anger was causing her to be careless and reckless. She wasn’t hitting anyone. She was just aiming towards them and hitting the building around them. So I got up and instead of using any magic against her right now, I charged at her and tackled her to the ground. I got up and kicked her in the face and stopped on her chest, causing her to have trouble breathing for a moment. I stood back and she rolled to the side and she saw the blood coming from her face, wiping it away with her hand. She looked even angrier after that, but before she had a chance to react, I kicked her in the stomach and punched her in the throat. She fell back against the wall and I gr
Knowing that my pregnancy was progressing like it would be in my world, I was unsure of just how long it would take for me to give birth. I could only have a week or two for all I know. Arthur looked really worried about it as well. I don’t think he was all that keen about having to deliver a baby. We saw the witch disappear with his soldiers and there was no way to warn the men at his castle, in case the witch was planning on attacking them. We were both worried for so many reasons and they weren’t small worries either. “Listen. I might be able to get us out of here but it’s not going to be pleasant. I just need to try and control the magic that she’s placed on the bars.” I explained. “How are you going to do that? Won’t that be dangerous and harmful?” Arthur asked.“I can handle it.” I said.“What about the baby? Are you willing to take that risk?” He asked.“What else are we meant to do? Just sit here and wait until she’s decided what shes going to do with us? I can guarantee
Arthur and I noticed that we were locked in that room alone, his other men had been captured by her soldiers somewhere along the route to the room, but we were too interested in what was happening right in front of us. Medea’s dead body and all. “I hope you don’t think this cage will hold me for long.” I said. “No. Just long enough to wipe out his army.” She said, looking at Arthur. We then heard a lot of shouting outside, so we ran to the window that also had bars on it and the soldiers outside were being attacked by Sphinx’s and Pegusas’ soldiers. They weren’t outnumbered, but they were taken by surprise and they were being attacked from all sides. “My men will tear through that pathetic army that you have down there.” Arthur said. “Maybe. But not for a while. And not without losing a lot of your men as well.” The witch smirked, before disappearing in another cloud of smoke. “Can you get out of this cage?” Arthur asked. “Yeah. But just give me a minute.” I said. “What d
