For the first time, 27-year-old martial arts instructor William felt that his death was near. Without knowing his fate, he staggered back to the office tower with soup and a small card. The receptionist looked at him suspiciously as he dragged his feet towards the elevator.

Travis Blake quickly glanced at the soup pot that William placed on his desk. He raised his eyebrows in question.

“What is this?”

William swallowed nervously and said, “It’s a healthy soup from your family.” He didn’t dare say that Hailey had sent the soup and was too afraid to imagine what ingredients it contained.

Travis Blake could tell that William was lying. He asked sharply, “What is it?”

William’s voice trembled, “Hailey came to the office just now.”
