Wedding Anniversary

Indeed, the couple was surprised because they were not expecting their children would do such a thing. They were so happy with their children celebrating their wedding anniversary. Their four children come quickly and hug them. Also, their mother hugs and kisses them while they gathered around.

"Look!" the mother said while looking to her husband, “Wow! You planned everything. I loved the way you did this, amazing,” then she looks around with her children and notices something at the table, “Oh! I see that is my favorite cake. May I know who did this?” Jim Han, Shin Ki, and Hea Bum point their fingers at Jan Lee. “Ah! It seems you saw your father bought me this one last year,” said the mother and touched his head and disarranged his hair smiling. Their parents were happy gazing at all the stuff in their surroundings; the decorations, the potted plants in the corner, the balloons, the clothing, and the foods they placed at the table.

“I think we are all here?” Hea Bum walked in their front while extending both arms downward and raised his shoulders.

“Not yet!” said Jim. Everyone got their attention as they notice him at the corner holding and is ready to pull the cloth covering his gift. “This is for you, Mama,” then he pulled out the clothes then they saw a rocking chair.

Their mother runs after Jim. kissed and hugged him while their father following, and his arm on her shoulder. “Oh! You're so sweet, Thank you, Jim.” She glimpsed with her husband and said, “Now! We will sit together with our rocking chairs sipped our coffee while watching the sunrise in front of our flowering garden,” said the mother and hugged her husband.

At the back of their father, two voices called in, “We are here Papa,” said Jan Lee and Shin Ki while holding an expensive wine. Their father quickly turned his back at them and widened his eyes, surprised by the gift they presented. He never thought they bought him with his long-awaited expensive wine. He bends his head and smiles.

“How come you bought this one to me? This is so expensive!” their father asked them curiously while holding the bottle of wine and kissed it.

“We saved,” said Jan Lee, “We set apart some money whenever we received our salary, “Jan Lee and Shin Ki looked with one another.

“Ahem!” Hea Bum cleared his throat. Everyone was more surprised when they saw the youngest child standing in front of the door holding a brand-new radio. They laugh with one another, for they were not expecting Hea Bum had a surprise too. Their parents come close and put their arms on his shoulders and wait for what he will say.

“Mama and papa, this is my gift for you,” said Hea Bum while wiping the radio, “You will be more relaxed and refreshed whenever you heard the sweet music from this while sipping your coffee, right?” Hea Bum added. Then their parents hugged him and kissed him on his forehead.

“I think we have done here?” said Shin Ki while raising her eyebrows as she smiles, “I’m hungry,” she then touched her stomach. Then everyone laughs at her.

“Okay, let us see what is on the table,” their father responded so everyone put their gifts at the other table then take their seats, “Wow! Delicious,” said the father as he observed the food that is serve was their favorites.

“Aha! I loved this one,” Jim said while attempting to pick a piece of fried chicken.

“Wait!” Hea Bum said and hold on to his hand.

Their mother smiled and said, “Let us give thanks first.”

“Shall we pray?” their father asked, and everyone nodded their heads, “God, thank you for this moment, thank you for these gifts and blessings. Thank you for guiding us and giving us the strength to walk on this life journey. All through the years, you have been so faithful to us with my wife and our children. Thank you for caring for us and loving us. We were not able to overcome the trials without You. Blessed these bounties in our table. Fill us with Your strength and joy as we partake these foods. As we celebrate Your goodness today. Let Your name be glorified here on earth. All these things I asked in Your mighty name. Amen.

Shin Ki had a loud voice in speaking the last word in prayer as they all responding for, she was in more hurry to eat. Then they laughed with one another, and their father merely smiles, for he understands that it was his long prayer ever since before. Everybody is busy filling their plates with the foods they were eager to eat. Their parents talk to them about their jobs and plans after taking a bite. Moments later, Jim Han’s phone sounded. He stared at his phone and frowned.

“Oh no! Ally,” Jim was shocked as he uttered her name in a small voice while moving his lips. After reading the message, he quickly turns his eyes to Jan Lee and disfigured his mouth showing his teeth. Jan Lee sensed already the note on the phone. He merely nods, looks on his side, and shook his head. Jim was sorry for what his girlfriend did to Jan Lee, so he signaled his twin brother that they have to talk later. They do not want to disturb their mood in front of their parents, for they knew they were celebrating the occasion.

“So!” their mother interrupted their conversations and looking side by side with Jim as well to Jan. The twin looked at one another and predicted what their mother is going to say to them. “How is the inside Jan Lee? And how is the outside Jim Han?” their mother asked them while raising an eyebrow, “Well! I will start from the outside,” she smiled and teased Jim Han for she knows already that he likes to stay outside together with his friends.

“Yes, mama!” Jim responds while jokingly covered his ear. He knows already that their mother will again interrogate his activities everywhere without giving knowledge to his twin.
