Chapter 5: Wil
"Home is not where you live, but where they understand you."
Third Person's POV
"You should stop doing that already." A man with a muscular built appears in the open door of the gym. He was wearing casual business attire as he was fixing his tie. He has a height of 170 cm and has black clean-cut hair, a bearded face, and blue chinky eyes. He looks on his wristwatch, frowning. Shaking his head looking to Amaia who has been busy giving kicks and punch to the punching bag. She didn't even mind the presence of the man who was in front of her, tapping the sole of his shoes as he waited for her to speak. He sighed as Amaia acted colder again, to him.
"You have been doing that for five hours' sake, Elisse!" The man's voice echoed, as he was frustrated from the girl's doing. He called her Elisse when he is mad or frustrated. He was the one who had been supporting Amaia since he saw her on the streets crying in a bloody situation together with her wolf Rei. He gives her a home, education, and all the skills she will need to learn in fighting. It's not a secret for him, that Amaia was a werewolf and he accepts her as his own daughter.
She didn't take a rest and focus on what she does for five hours. Now, she even ignored him. Focusing all her punch and kicks like it was the man who did it to make her entire life, like a missing puzzle. The man climbs up to the stage where Amaia is, as he was nudging the frown of his forehead. As Amaia does her enrage to the pitied punching bag. A man's built blocking the punching bag, and there he receives the strong punch of Amaia.
"Ugh...T-oo weak..." He faked a laugh controlling the pain on his chest caused by her punch. He did not expect it to be that strong. He bit his lower lips to avoid grunting, but Amaia being a unique creature he can hear his beating heart controlling its pain. She looks at the man with frustration raising her eyebrow.
"Tsk. Are you acting a hero towards that punching bag?" Amaia coldly said, turning her back to the man as she gets the towel hanging on the pole, wiping her dripping sweat. The man exhaled loud releasing the controlled pain, as he massages his chest.
"Yes and No? Do you want me to get worried to death, my daughter?" As the man says the word "my daughter", Amaia grunts in annoyance did not like what he said. The man laughs, as he was already at the back of Amaia, messing her sweaty and pony-tailed hair.
Amaia rolled her eyes and untied the bandage on her hands, "Oh, I won't be worried and I am glad to bury your body, Wil. Even it is alive." saying those words makes the man or Wil smile turns to grimace.
"Come on, you're being rude again. The breakfast is now served, Madamoiselle. Rei wouldn't eat without your presence and even I can't swallow the food because of her bark." He would have a laugh, but seeing Amaia's predator eyes, he stop and cleared his throat. He gestures his hand to follow him, that's why she sighed heavily, mumbling unheard words on her mouth going to the Diner's Area.
As they appeared in the Diner's Area, Rei's sad looks and unhappy howl becomes lively seeing Amaia with Wil. She wiggles her long and furry whitetail, as the maids who prepared the food, are shaking in fear. They become unattentive and careful to their moves, as they are afraid of Rei's hugeness and Amaia's stoic face. After doing what they needed to do, they bowed to Will and Amaia, then sprinting out of the kitchen with pale skin.
"Tsk! Scaredy- Coward Maids. Why even hired them, when they can't do their work properly." Amaia sits at the left corner of the table, while Wil is at the center of it. Rei on the other side grabs her plate by her mouth and seated beside Amaia. She even nudges her head to Amaia's legs as she sounded like a sweet big-fur puppy.
"You're telling me to hire a goon or an assassin maid? That must be nice too!" Wil laughs, as he chews the food, shaking his head when Amaia glared at him again, with predator's eyes.
Amaia put a slice of half-cooked lean meat on Rei's plate with a pitcher of milk. Rei happily eats her breakfast as Amaia rolled her eyes, seeing the sweet gestures of the Wolf. Amaia silently eats, as Wil keeps on talking about his business or planning about travel to Perth, Australia. He even invites Amaia to come with him, so she will be experiencing another eerie of the place and relaxation of the mind. Until they finished their breakfast, but Amaia never gives her answers to Wil if she will go along with him.
"Take care, my daughter. I'll be back at 10 in the evening make sure to eat your dinner." Wil seriously said as Amaia keep on giving her rolled eyes and sneered look. While Wil, being him doesn't want to walk out of the house without Amaia's embrace. There Amaia grunts and gives him a quick hug.
She smirked and there it is time for her to tease him, "Be careful daddy! Make sure to find Mom, okay?" She laughs sarcastically, as she saw Wil's reddened face not because of fluttering but because of Anger. Then, he decided to go out of the house in a bad mood. As the door closes, the maids got surprised hearing the loud laughter of Amaia, as she got a point to make him mad.
The maids would have been happy seeing her lively face like that but it was just her fake accord to manipulate someone, because on her side. She doesn't know how to laugh full of happiness. She was numb. Void of emotions. That's why no maid can stay longer in their place. They are afraid of her anger issues and how she will go berserk, playing deadly against the people she will put an eye on.
"What am I gonna do, with you Amaia?" Rei whispered, sadness, guilt, and pain she was feeling towards her. She sighed closing her eyes, howling inaudible sounds like a prayer. A prayer that she will never lose hope to see her happy.
