Chapter 6

Mark frowned when he heard me addressing him as my ex-husband.

I thought he would accuse me of playing hard to get and losing his temper like before.

Unexpectedly, he just sighed, touched the top of my head and said, "Are you still mad at me? Honey, I admit that I neglected you before, and I promise I will change in the future. Please stop being angry, okay? Where will you be without me?"

Although he changed his temperament for some unknown reason, I was not pleased when I heard the last bit, "The world is big enough. There will be somewhere out there for me."

Mark interjected, "You know that's not what I meant."

I was too jaded to talk more. It seemed that Mark did not want to divide his assets with me, otherwise there was no other reason why he didn't want a divorce.

I caught a glimpse of Sophie from the corner of my eye, and I diverted the conversation, "Hey, can you get out of my room?"
