My head was pressed against alphas chest, sleeping peacefully when we suddenly heard the loud bang.

We both flinched awake and stared at the door in shock. "What's that?" I asked him, trying to catch my breath.

My heart was racing so fast from how loud and unexpected it was and how it disrupted my sleep.

Alpha shrugged at me. "I have no idea. It's not my fault." He got out of bed.

"Wait. Be careful. I'll come with you."

He shook his head, “I'll be fine.”

"Just wait here," he assured me.

I sat in bed, wondering what the heck was happening. I was still too asleep to be aware of my environment.

We had gone straight to bed last night after we were done with baking, and everything had gone smoothly. I was still in thought when I heard Alpha yell.
