I was returning from pack training with Sam, Ari, and Ava, and I felt so exhausted. It had been such a tiring event.

"That was the most stressful thing ever," Ari groaned. "My back hurts like I just went to a World War. Like I don't even know how to fight."

"I know, right? They were training us like they were preparing us for war."

"Tell me about it!" Sam groaned.

"It should not be that dramatic," Ava stared at me. She looked like she had a lot to say to me.

I knew the trigger was mostly because of what had happened to me, and my mum had been in charge of pack training.

"Alpha wasn’t at the meeting this morning. Is everything okay?"

"He should be."I assured them.

"You guys should go ahead. I'll meet you," I told them.

Ava stopped me by tapping my shoulder. "Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Sure."

"We have the other girls. Goodbye." She put her arm over me and raised one eyebrow. "Are you okay? Are you doing well?"

"I am."
