I opened my eyes with a loud gasp.

My heart was rising fast, and I panted heavily, trying to understand where I was.

"Talie, you're okay. You're okay," I heard Alpha's comforting voice call.

"Where am I? What's happening?" I said immediately, looking around the room. I saw that I was back in Alpha's bedroom.

I brought my eyebrows together.

This didn't make any sense.

"I was just in my mum's room," I told him as he cupped my cheeks. He nodded.

"Where’s the girl? The one they brought to the pack house that looks like me?" I asked him with a frown.

It wasn’t until he looked to his side that I realized my mum was also here.

"Mum? Why- what’s going on?"

"It’s okay, Talie. Just lay down. You’re fine now."

"I’m fine now? What does that mean? What’s happening?"

Their silence was piercing my soul by the second.

"Will one of you say something?!"

"I found you on the floor, passed out, and you’ve been mumbling all sorts of things. We’ve been struggling to help you regain consciousness."
