The next day, most of our guests started to show up in the morning. I didn't think about how I would have to greet each and every single one of them individually. I had a smile plastered on my face the entire day, to the point where my cheeks started to hurt, but I had to keep it up. Thankfully, Alpha was there to assist me. Most of the packs kept singing praises of how privileged they were to be invited to the sacred Dark Bloodpack for such an event, and I truly felt on top of the world with all of their compliments, but still.

I was in a casual sweatshirt and denim shorts, sitting in the events room to check how things were going with the girls when Alpha pulled my hand and led me behind one of the walls of the packhouse. There was barely any space, so I was basically pressed against his chest while he had his hands pinned above my head.
