I immediately looked to Adil for help, she didn't seem panicked at all and it gave me some sort of strength.

"It's nothing," I shook my head at him. "Why are you here?"

"I needed to get water to drink," he said keeping his gaze on me.

"You seem to be healing just fine, that is definitely good news, the herbs must be doing their work," she pointed at a small can, "there's water in there, you can have some for the night, careful not to let Aran bump into you on your way there."

He nodded, finally taking his eyes off me.

My eyes followed as he took a sip of water and turned his back on us, "I'll be leaving, thank you for catering for me, I feel better now."

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "what do you mean?"

"I'm taking my leave, I feel better now there's no reason for me to keep staying here," he said without turning back to look at me. I didn't know why but all of a sudden that caused my heart to race maybe from the thought of him heading back all alone.
