Chapter 13 – Empathic

Alma went back to the hospital, with the check that had just been given to her in her hands, she kept looking at him as tears streamed down her face.

Why did the problems keep coming? Why did it all pile up? Why did he feel that everything was against him?

"Enough of crying," she said to herself as she stood in front of the hospital, covered her red face a little with some makeup, and left, determined, to her mother's room.

Everything changed as soon as he entered and saw her smiling faintly, at that moment he knew that it was all worth it and that, as long as they were alive, there was hope.

But by that same afternoon, another unsettling thought was coming to her: Why didn't Edan show up?

He was supposed to pick her up to visit her father, which was part of the contract and it was part of the show.
