"You still hadn't told me." I began while on the road with the radio turned on.

"What?"

"The content of the folder my brother took."

Sinister laughed as if it was some kind of joke, "You think I can just spill the tea like a gossip partner? You didn't even say please."

"Please." I forced myself to say.

"That's not going to cut it.

"Please! What do I have to do for you to tell me?"

As I said that, I noticed a wild smirk played on his face, "You should really understand what you're saying angel. You should understand what you're Offering. So be a good little girl and shut that pretty little mouth of yours if you want to keep yourself intact."

I have a tired sigh understanding that the Adam before me wasn't going to spill anything about the folder. Looking at my reflection on the car mirror, I felt utterly depressed. Maybe it was because of my child-like innocent face that everyone never took me serious. And maybe it was because of my petite body and short height as well. I bit my lips

The air was tensed.A pin dropped could sound like an atomic bomb right now."Don't tell me you are revealing the family legacy to this cheap little slut Alexander." Mikhail growled at Sinister. In that precise moment, sinister aggressively clutched on Mikhail's suit. For some reason, I panicked. "Wait!" I stopped Sinister by slipping myself in front of Sinister. Facing Mikhail, I spoke, "He's right, I won't be here for long. I just need to find my brother then I'm out of your hair I promise." I felt the Adam behind me gulp hard, but I didn't bother turning to face him."Sinister, why don't you conclude a meeting tonight to discuss things better, HeT?" The old man spoke from behind to Sinister."Prepare a room beside mine, She stays here. Come Grey." He wasn't there.Thank God.I noticed that at the side of the bed, my suitcase was neatly placed. Maybe it would be a good idea to take a bath. I needed to cool down anyway, just to relax. Grabbing whatever clothes I needed, I headed back to the bathroom and filled the tub. I removed my clothes, threw my robe over me and sat on the vanity of his bathroom. Again, it was such an elegant place to be in, mixed with a pinch of modern men's style.Leaning my head against the mirror, I closed my eyes.Ah, peace of mind."Becky!" A voice roared, suddenly bringing me back to my senses.Jumping off the vanity, I quickly closed the tap and listened until the beast spoke again."So help me God if you don't open this bloody door right now I swear I would fucking murder you inside there and enjoy it!" "Calm your tortillas Grandpa, I'll be done soon." I retorted with a tired yawn, frustrated at him."I've been waiting for over an hour." His voice seemed impatient. One hour, wow, I really knocked ou

The sunshine licked my face, forcing my eyelid to peel open. Sitting myself up, I stretched and yawned looking around the empty room. Sinister was nowhere to be seen, which was good. Looking at the bed, I realized that I was on his side and my pillow barrier were scattered elsewhere on the bed. How the hell did I get here?Getting off the bed, I felt much better than I did yesterday. Someone softly knocked on the door and entered."Good morning Miss Grey." The maid from the other time came in smiling at me."Good morning Miss…" I stretched my last word hoping for her to finish them."Maria, just call me Maria.""Well, good morning Maria. How are you?"Yep. I was definitely in an oddly great mood today."Oh, I'm fine Miss Grey. What would you like to have for breakfast today?""You're asking me?" It was funny because I almost felt like a princess being asked in that manner."Well of course." Before I could say another word, someone interrupted at the door."Feed her what we serve th

Before she could say another word, Maria interrupted."Mr Salvaltore asked for tea.""Sinister?" Nadia asked."Yes.""Then make it." Sue sighed as she continued to chop the vegetable.Maria went at the other side of the kitchen counter, preparing the tea. Walking up to her, I watched as she made the drink."Is this the same you made for me yesterday?" "Yes miss Grey." Maria smiled."It was bitter," I confessed, "Does he like it like that?""He hasn't made any complaint against it.""Well, maybe I can fix it?" He had on a weird smile that made me feel uncomfortable."Mikhail is a bit stern, that's all." He smiled towards me."So is everyone." I scoffed, rubbing my fingers around my neck."Who? Oh! You mean Nadia. No, I'd rather define her as hot-tempered. Mikhail is not that impulsive."That man in front of me seemed to look around my age and his clothing seemed a bit more relaxed compared to the attire worn by the others in this house. Yep, definitely boy next door- who killed innocent people and was in the mafia. Typical. What a nice combo. Better than that chicken and chips combo I bought last month."What's your name again? "That makes no sense Nadia." I said again. "Seeing you with Nik, he was pretty pissed." Nadia smirked and adjusted her hat to cover the sun ray."Wow, you sure know your big brother well." I arched my eyebrow."Look at the way he's holding the stick and how clenched his face seems to be.""Tighter than usual." • Shadows of Deception    Fiance? (Sinister’s POV)

Sinister’s POV I should hate this girl. She's nothing but problems. And yet, I find it most difficult to stare away right now. Her dark hair tousled down her back and over her shoulder as she leaned against the leather interior of the limo. She pressed her head gently against it as her eyes grew wary and distant. She'd been peeling the dead skin off her fingertips subconsciously since we got in here. Were the heels really that high? I shouldn't have asked the lady for the best pair. I should have just gone with the most comfortable pair. It was my fault. But how was I to know she couldn't walk in them? How was I to know anything about her? The navy gown clung to her body effortlessly. If anything, she could easily get mistaken for an angel fallen upon the earth. God. I pushed the thought away. What the actual fuck was I saying? She was a fallen angel sure, one just like Lucifer at least. Fallen upon me to frustrate the living daylight out of me. Her face glowed under the moonligh

You were with him that day when you went after Vincelli." I strained my voice to even speak. With a pause, “Yes, but I couldn't get you involved anymore. Grey, you have this life ahead of you. It's a great life, why are you looking back?" “Because you're there." “Becky," he breathed, stunned at that, his eyes softening. “You have my heart. You’ll always do. I'm perplexed as to what you see in a monster like me but maybe that's why I'm so drawn to you. You see me as virtuously human and I feel otherwise and somehow or the other you see me as worthy and I could never understand your kindness. I love you, fuck, you make me so weak." Slipping my hand into his, I closed the space between us, pressing my body against his and my head against his chest. His heartbeat was fast and steady as he wrapped his free ha

~^~ "He was one of my closest friends. Shall I have this dance? For him?" James asks as he puts out his hand. Pleasantly, I danced with him and it almost felt as if he was trying to sober me back up before someone else asked for a dance. Dance after dance and my feet were getting sore. Many of Archer's friends seemed to somehow have 'taken a liking to me' as Archer said in a somewhat cautious manner when he pulled me aside but I assured him that they weren't my type. God even knows what my type was. Walking back to the bar, I had another drink, and because I was a "lady" and most importantly, Archer's long-lost little sister, I had to upkeep a decent reputation- wine- no beer for me. Also, I couldn't kick that one guy violently to smash his banana when he tried to slide his hand down the equator. “I’m not sure if you're trying to get drunk or sober:" A man said to me from the side. “Is both an option?" "Only if you're trying to kill yourself." He started with a soft short

*~*The weight of the world seemed to be crashing down upon me or rather tugging mercilessly at the strings that sewed together the broken pieces of my heart. The entire flight I kept to myself and the weeks that came as well.Everything felt painful and it wasn't even that time of the month. “Do you know, when it was your birthday while you were in the coma, he spent every single second of the day with you? He didn't even give a shit about work. Whatever that day was, he canceled all plans and stayed at your bedside for every second. He was in so much pain seeing you like that, Becky. I almost envied that- that brotherly affection. It was beyond me."Snapping back to her attention as I heard that I held back a tear from escaping, she was right. I was being so selfish right now. I'm grieving but it feels like I'm hurting everyone around me.“I’m sorry," I said softly trying to recollect myself and my thoughts. "Let's do something for him. I was looking for you. You said you'd come back two years ago and-""I did Becky, believe me, I did. My heart broke when I saw you in the hospital in that state I just didn't know what to do. ~^~As the sun gave birth to the sky, I quickly packed my luggage and left the apartıment leaving a 'Be Back Soon' note to Nadia on the refrigerator. So help me God, let me know what I'm doing. Somehow it just felt right to go there.Walking into the airport, I went to my flight and sat at my specified seat. Taking a deep breath, shut my eyes ready for the flight to take off when I heard a familiar voice. “You forgot this."Looking up I saw Nadia arching her eyebrows while taking the seat next to me, giving me my phone."What are you doing here?" I frowned, shocked at her presence. Nadia inhaled deeply and tiredly made herself comfortable in the seat, "I honestly don't know why but somehow this trip seems to be important to you. Also, your company kind of grew on me."Smugly I smiled, “Aww, you mean you'd miss me."She rolled her eyes and asked, "So where exactly are we going'?"“I have no idea.""Becky, you can't be serious!" She exclaimed as we walked into the airport, "You didn't

~^~You never know what life is until near death hits you. And you'd never know what love is unless you lose- be it your ego, your vices, your hate, your time, or your love. That's the harsh reality of our burdened lives.I opened my eyes to feel the binding lights above me as my body drowned in the stiffening bed I rested on. A sudden chill ran across my body as I turned slightly to take note of the sun dying for the sky to breathe through the small window at the side. Where was I? Looking down at my body, I found myself decorated with hospital equipment for patients. Pushing away the oxygen mask from my face, I stumbled out the bed with an intense migraine. Why was I in a hospital? God, my head hurt. I pressed my hands against my temples as I moved across the room to the window.“Becky? Oh my God! Nurse!" I turned to see Nadia at the doorway of the room as she smiled almost in shock and tears streamed down her face. Something about her lookeddifferent.Archer suddenly rushed to my

I breathed in relief and looked at him, "Alright, let's go." "Guys just get out of there, we'll leave it to the COSR, James probably left already. There Is need to be inside that place right now. Come on out, It's dangerous." Nadia stated, "Come back." “I’ll run through the place once more," Archer suggested, I know how to handle myself, I'm sending Becky back." "Because Becky is a dog you can just take for a walk to meet a notorious drug-lord slash killer, and send back." I smiled, “But don't worry, I'm going I'm going, no need to rush for my presence boys. There's plenty of this attitude to go around, calm YO-selfs." I heard Moe’s chuckle from the ear piece, “Yeee, you’re becoming more like me.” Whatever. As I was about to take the next ste

As we did, there sat a thin tall man whose hair was neatly brushed back, at a desk whose chair was turned to face a large open-concept window that overlooked the mountain lights above and beyond. It was a beautiful sight I had to admit."Isn't it lovely, Kitty?" The man began in a rough yet smooth voice, “You loved to come up here and look at the stars with me.
