He knew!

"You were saying, Miss Grey?" He teased again with his eyes on me.

"I…" I've never felt this second hand embarrassment.

Well it's not my fault, if they had allowed me pick my stuffs from the hotel I lounged before kidnapping me.

"You?" He pushed me teasingly with his tone.

"I…" I swallowed, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear, "I don't have anything to wear."

"And your problem is?" He plastered that smirk.

The bastard.

I wish Alberto was here.

Biting my lips softly, I looked away from him.

With a soft chuckle, he walked towards me and placed a hand on my hip. -Control it, control it Beck- Tilting my chin towards him, he grazed his thumb over ny soft pink lips, "You're not getting away from me that easy."

I blinked confused as I became aroused at the way he was touching me.

His voice was soft and caressing as he spoke, which was odd because I rarely ever heard him speak like that, "There's a bag at the side of the bed with a dress in it. Wear it. I'll be waiting for you

"Don't play with me right now Grey, I'm not in the mood" "Ohh," My smile wavered."Can you walk?""I-I think so." I stated as I tried getting up and stretching my legs. They still ached but I could have Survived. "It's okay now.""Good. Now walk to the bathroom and hurry up."With a sigh, I walked to the bathroom and tried to turn the water heater on but it was too high. What the hell was wrong with this shower anyway, Why wasn't it coming in? And this hotel claimed being a five star.Five star of shit."I-I can't," I struggled trying to reach the switch whilst tiptoeing and accidentally knocking down some of the conditioners."Grey, what are you doing?""Robbing a bank.""Good for you." I heard him say."I-I can't reach the stupid heater!" I groaned."Do you need it?" He sounded annoyed."Yes, yess Sinister." I pouted like a child. He opened the door and stepped into the shower where I was."It must such being short." He smirked."I'm fun sized, don't push it.""Fun sized?" He arche

Taking a deep breath, I continued my shower. Wrapping the towel around me, I stepped out of the bathroom only to find Nadia sitting on the edge of the bed."There were the best I could find. Most of the boutiques were closed." She frowned and gave me pajamas shorts and a decent sized loose T-shirt along with other essentials stuff in the bag.Still, I was grateful to her."Thank you." I smiled.I hadn't expected it but she shot a subtle smile back at me, "Sin's in another room, he'll be done soon. Don't make him wait, he seemed angry."Quickly going back into the shower and getting dressed I came back and found him sitting on the sofa while Nadia looked out the window. "Good. You're here." Sinister stated looking at me as if nothing had happened between us.I took in his attire, it was different yet a nice look on him. His dark damp hair tousled perfectly, dark jeans, charcoal grey T-shirt and a black leather jacket. It was weird not seeing him in a suit yet it was refreshing seeing

"Not a very impressive idea for our first date Sinister ." I teased.Sinister got off the bike and helped me off."What is this place?" I asked, curiously."Weren't you hungry? This was the only place I could have found in this area." He shrugged and pulled a shirt for me to sit at one of the outside tables. He was right, looking around again, I took notice of how rural the area was. No buildings, no houses, no anything really, just a long empty road. Where the hell did he really bring me? The eatery itself was scanty with only few older men hanging around. He stared at me as I shifted uncomfortably in my seat."So?" I tried breaking the uneasiness, "How long would it take again until we get home?""Home?" He arched an eyebrow with a subtle smile."I mean, back at your house." Idiot."Not sure.""What? What do you mean not sure?" "I never took this route before.""What? Don't mess with me Soft served! Tell me you're lying!" I exclaimed in a panic."Would you relax? I'm not insane." H

I'd rather laugh than cry about it.He hadn't said anything. He never replied. Instead, his expression seemed to turn into a mild curiosity."What about your family?" He asked, suddenly catching me off-guard."What?""Your parents.""—Are good people. They weren't abusive, if that's why you asked." I defended."I never implied anything.""But you were getting there." I pointed and took a deep breath, "My dad is hardly ever around Sin. After my mother died, the only way he supported my siblings and I were financially."He frowned when I said that, "What happened to your mother?"I hated telling this story to anyone yet I tried to bury my agony and push through with the only decent conversation we were having. I made sure not to make eye contact with him."My mother was murdered," my voice broke, "Gang raped and murdered."I tried not to look at him, I really did yet I couldn't. His lips stapled in a thin straight line, hardened by his facial expression. He seemed to be lost in a memory

  • Shadows of Deception    Testing the thin line.

Okay. Well maybe it wasn't such a genius plan but it was just a thought. For now, all I had to do was get the folder, get away from everyone here, and then think of something. As all the men's attention were back on one another and they discussed their 'matters', I neared the tables with the drinks again and I placed the empty glasses on it. Quickly. I slipped the paper that was in the folder under the tray and took it up.Turning around casually, no one's attention seemed to be on me, that is until Sinister suddenly locked eyes with mine. Dear God. I hope he hadn't seen it. I was almost fully convinced that he had but he nonchalantly drifted them back to the others in the room. He didn't. Thank God.Trying my best not to be suspicious, i exited the room and hurriedly rushed back into his room. I carelessly placed the tray on the small table and scanned my eyes over the paper I took up. To my horror, my face was confirmed by what was on the paper. Nothing was even legal and everythin

  • Shadows of Deception    Fiance? (Sinister’s POV)

Sinister’s POV I should hate this girl. She's nothing but problems. And yet, I find it most difficult to stare away right now. Her dark hair tousled down her back and over her shoulder as she leaned against the leather interior of the limo. She pressed her head gently against it as her eyes grew wary and distant. She'd been peeling the dead skin off her fingertips subconsciously since we got in here. Were the heels really that high? I shouldn't have asked the lady for the best pair. I should have just gone with the most comfortable pair. It was my fault. But how was I to know she couldn't walk in them? How was I to know anything about her? The navy gown clung to her body effortlessly. If anything, she could easily get mistaken for an angel fallen upon the earth. God. I pushed the thought away. What the actual fuck was I saying? She was a fallen angel sure, one just like Lucifer at least. Fallen upon me to frustrate the living daylight out of me. Her face glowed under the moonligh

You were with him that day when you went after Vincelli." I strained my voice to even speak. With a pause, “Yes, but I couldn't get you involved anymore. Grey, you have this life ahead of you. It's a great life, why are you looking back?" “Because you're there." “Becky," he breathed, stunned at that, his eyes softening. “You have my heart. You’ll always do. I'm perplexed as to what you see in a monster like me but maybe that's why I'm so drawn to you. You see me as virtuously human and I feel otherwise and somehow or the other you see me as worthy and I could never understand your kindness. I love you, fuck, you make me so weak." Slipping my hand into his, I closed the space between us, pressing my body against his and my head against his chest. His heartbeat was fast and steady as he wrapped his free ha

~^~ "He was one of my closest friends. Shall I have this dance? For him?" James asks as he puts out his hand. Pleasantly, I danced with him and it almost felt as if he was trying to sober me back up before someone else asked for a dance. Dance after dance and my feet were getting sore. Many of Archer's friends seemed to somehow have 'taken a liking to me' as Archer said in a somewhat cautious manner when he pulled me aside but I assured him that they weren't my type. God even knows what my type was. Walking back to the bar, I had another drink, and because I was a "lady" and most importantly, Archer's long-lost little sister, I had to upkeep a decent reputation- wine- no beer for me. Also, I couldn't kick that one guy violently to smash his banana when he tried to slide his hand down the equator. “I’m not sure if you're trying to get drunk or sober:" A man said to me from the side. “Is both an option?" "Only if you're trying to kill yourself." He started with a soft short

*~*The weight of the world seemed to be crashing down upon me or rather tugging mercilessly at the strings that sewed together the broken pieces of my heart. The entire flight I kept to myself and the weeks that came as well.Everything felt painful and it wasn't even that time of the month. “Do you know, when it was your birthday while you were in the coma, he spent every single second of the day with you? He didn't even give a shit about work. Whatever that day was, he canceled all plans and stayed at your bedside for every second. He was in so much pain seeing you like that, Becky. I almost envied that- that brotherly affection. It was beyond me."Snapping back to her attention as I heard that I held back a tear from escaping, she was right. I was being so selfish right now. I'm grieving but it feels like I'm hurting everyone around me.“I’m sorry," I said softly trying to recollect myself and my thoughts. "Let's do something for him. He deserves it."There was a certain light to

I was looking for you. You said you'd come back two years ago and-""I did Becky, believe me, I did. My heart broke when I saw you in the hospital in that state I just didn't know what to do. I felt like I failed you, I disappointed you and Mare. I didn't get to you in time.""James," I said faintly, "Marc-""I know, but I keep telling myself that he's in a better place."In that second the back door near us bolted open and an awestruck Moe stood with his face paled as he saw James who released me slowly and faced him with kind eyes, "Jamie?"My voice dripping with agony brought his attention

~^~As the sun gave birth to the sky, I quickly packed my luggage and left the apartıment leaving a 'Be Back Soon' note to Nadia on the refrigerator. So help me God, let me know what I'm doing. Somehow it just felt right to go there.Walking into the airport, I went to my flight and sat at my specified seat. Taking a deep breath, shut my eyes ready for the flight to take off when I heard a familiar voice. “You forgot this."Looking up I saw Nadia arching her eyebrows while taking the seat next to me, giving me my phone."What are you doing here?" I frowned, shocked at her presence. Nadia inhaled deeply and tiredly made herself comfortable in the seat, "I honestly don't know why but somehow this trip seems to be important to you. Also, your company kind of grew on me."Smugly I smiled, “Aww, you mean you'd miss me."She rolled her eyes and asked, "So where exactly are we going'?"“I have no idea.""Becky, you can't be serious!" She exclaimed as we walked into the airport, "You didn't

~^~You never know what life is until near death hits you. And you'd never know what love is unless you lose- be it your ego, your vices, your hate, your time, or your love. That's the harsh reality of our burdened lives.I opened my eyes to feel the binding lights above me as my body drowned in the stiffening bed I rested on. A sudden chill ran across my body as I turned slightly to take note of the sun dying for the sky to breathe through the small window at the side. Where was I? Looking down at my body, I found myself decorated with hospital equipment for patients. Pushing away the oxygen mask from my face, I stumbled out the bed with an intense migraine. Why was I in a hospital? God, my head hurt. I pressed my hands against my temples as I moved across the room to the window.“Becky? Oh my God! Nurse!" I turned to see Nadia at the doorway of the room as she smiled almost in shock and tears streamed down her face. Something about her lookeddifferent.Archer suddenly rushed to my

It was a beautiful sight I had to admit."Isn't it lovely, Kitty?" The man began in a rough yet smooth voice, “You loved to come up here and look at the stars with me.
