Ivy wanted to get up and kill him; if it wasn’t for him she would have had a safe life. Well, it was her fault since she wanted to go out and take a walk. But she only was out for a little while. She didn’t do anything wrong that night, and he just happened to be there.
“So your greed is what made you kill my life.” She said getting to her knees again. “So I am going to give you a little reminder of what you’re not getting.” She said sitting up. “You see my son bound my powers.” She said almost wanting to stand but her body was gone.
“Oh look she might have some fight in her.” He laughed.
“Don’t bother, because they are coming now.&
Samuel didn’t want to answer him on that one, but he was right. If the dark dwellers surrendered to the white dwellers then it would be over for everyone. But hell he didn’t care; he was tired of this game. Ivy listened to the fighting; it was dying down so she knew it was almost time for her to die. She didn’t want to, but she wasn’t going to have a choice in the matter. “Quinn?” she whispered, hoping he was still alive. “I’m still alive, are you okay?” “I’m dying slowly still but something is coming and I don’t know what it is.” She said wanting to touch him but h
Grabbing her books off the table, Ivy headed to her locker. It was Friday, she had three papers to write and some math homework. Grabbing the books, she needed from her locker, she headed out to the parking lot, where she spotted Drake Greenwood, her longtime crush, and his evil girlfriend Ashley. Shivers ran down her back, Ashley looked in her direction, Ivy quickly looked away. “Loser!” Ashley yelled in Ivy's direction. She quickly ran across the street, her heart slowed down. Walking through the park to get to her house, she knew her parents wouldn't be home for a few hours, so she had some time to relax before her mother nagged on her about doing her homework, or dishes. Halloween was two days away, one of Ivy’s favorite holi
Ivy’s Mom looked at her, and then at the men standing behind her daughter. “Well, yes, I do actually. What they have told you is true. But it’s been years since we fought and killed the Shadow Dwellers,” she said. “Daniel, why do you come now?” Daniel shook his head “I have a letter warning you about us coming for you.” He said shaking the piece of paper over her. “A letter?” she said turning to look at the paper. He dropped the letter in her lap. She quickly read it and then looked at Ivy. “I see.” Daniel walked around to face Ivy, “you see Ivy you are important. You will be the next greater power.” He said facing Ivy’s Mom. “You see you should have listened to your husband and gave her to another family member. She would have been safer. Shadow Dwellers have certain energy when a f
Ivy couldn’t sit up anymore. It was like she was paralyzed from the waist down. “Just let me see if my dad is okay, please?” she begged. “Sorry, honey, he’s going to die whether you get him some help or not. I've injected him with a deadly poison, he WILL die.” He said walking towards her. “Let me help you.” He said pulling her to her feet and helping her to her father’s side. “Dad?” Ivy whispered in his ear. He opened his eyes and met her for a moment. “Baby, I'm so sorry about this. Your mother and I thought this day would never come. We were retired for many years. I was approached at work about them maybe coming for us. I didn’t think it would happen,” he managed to say. Ivy kissed him on the forehead. “Dad, it’s okay, just tell m
A few minutes went by he came back with the release papers. “You can get dressed. They released you into my care.” A nurse came in and helped Ivy with the heart monitor cords, and the IV. After that she was able to get dressed, her body felt heavy. Looking over herself, she noticed some bruises on her shoulder, they hurt when she touched them. Ivy finished getting dressed, when she came out Dave was standing by the window. When he noticed she was standing there, “You ready?” he asked. “Yeah, I guess. I'm a little scared to go home, though.” Ivy said putting her hair up with the rubber band she found in the bag with her stuff. Dave wrapped his arm around Ivy, she wasn’t walking as well as she thought “Don’t worry, Pri
Stacy walked into the cafeteria, “Oh, look, the murderer has come to lunch. People, she threatened to kill me when she first got here this morning. Anyone who kicks her ass will be a part of my family.” She looked at Ivy. “Well, little invisible roach, yours is coming. Someone will kill you and then you, little murderer, won’t be feared anymore.” She flicked her hair at her and then walked to her table. Her friends laughed and stared at Ivy. Ivy glanced around the lunchroom, everyone was staring and pointing at her. She knew Stacy did that to get more attention, brushing off the feeling of hate she felt from everyone, she opened her bag and grabbed some of her homework. A shiver went down her back, she glanced up and saw a mysterious boy walking towards her. “Hey,” an unfamiliar voice said.
Running as fast as she could home, Dave opened the door and greeted her with a smile. “So how much crap did they give you?” he said letting her walk past him. Ivy rolled her eyes, dropping her bag on the floor. “A lot and I don’t want to talk about it. I'm just going to bed.” She went to her room without explaining it. Uncle Dave trailed her, “Ivy, that’s not acceptable, you need to talk about it. If not for you, then for me. I want to know how you are doing.” He said stopping at her door to her room. “I said I don’t want to talk about it,” she growled at him, shutting the door in his face. Burying her head deep into her pillow, she felt better for a moment. For a moment she felt like the world was going to get better. She felt different. Closing her eyes for a moment, she wa
Stacy walked up, taking the note out of Ivy’s hand, she giggled. “Ohhh, what are you for Halloween?Yourself?” Stacy spouted off. Ivy turned to face her, she needed to put this girl in her place. Or at least scare her, so she’d leave her alone for one day, “Yes, in fact, I am. And, oh, guess what? You are the first one on my list to die. So, BEWARE! RAWR!” she growled, pushing past Miss Popular. Walking into class, she plopped herself down in the chair. Closing her eyes, she just wanted to be invisible. “Hey, gorgeous,” Nick said sitting next to her. “What do you want?” Ivy growled. “You want on the list too.” She said looking at him annoyed. “You, if you're willing to put me on that list of yours, hopefullyfirst.” He said winking at her.

“You seem so sure for yourself.” Elder John growled. “But yet no one has come around to try and stop me from doing what I have done to you.” He said looking down at her. “You are almost ready to go outside, once there the war will start. Everyone will come and try and take you this is going to become a fun and entertaining game.” Ivy wanted to show him that she was stronger than he gave her credit for, but she was still strapped down to the table, and he wasn’t about to let her try and get up. Her body burned from all the torture and she was already coughing up blood. She knew her time was limited. She wanted to reach out to Quinn to tell him this was all a trap and that he would die if he came to her. She didn’t want to see another one die for her. She felt powerless but she didn’t want a
Ivy tried fighting Samuel when he strapped her down to the table but he was stronger than she was. Ivy tried biting him, but Samuel was a lot faster than he was and he was able to finish strapping her down before Elder John came downstairs. “She strapped down?” Elder John asked coming down with a few more people. “Yeah,” Samuel said moving away from Ivy. “She awake?” he asked touching her face. “Good I want her to experience every painful moment.” He said checking her eyes. “Stay with us, Ivy.” He said putting the dagger next to her head. “I want Quinn to feel this too; you said he bound himself to her correct?”&nb
Ivy still was afraid about what was coming; she wasn’t sure where they were going to do this ritual and who was going to be there. She wanted to be strong, but she was alone in all of this, she wish she had the strength to run but she couldn’t. Samuel touched her face, he wanted to kiss her, something about her made him attracted to her. Closing his eyes, he had to stay focused; he knew Elder John wouldn’t allow him to feel for her. “Are you ready to go and see Elder John?” Samuel said moving away from her. Ivy looked down at her hands, she didn’t want to face the beast, but she knew he wouldn’t wait for her all day. She had to go through this whether she was willing or not. Closing her eyes she thought about her life before this. She
Ivy jerked her eyes open, the sun was shining through the window. She wasn’t sure what time it was. She sat up, the room was still spinning so she didn’t bother to try and get out of bed until Samuel came into the room with the tea. He didn’t come for a few hours and when he did he didn’t say anything. She drank the tea without much effort; Samuel helped her out of bed. She managed to walk down the stairs with help, but she still felt like crap. She tried to reach Quinn but he didn’t respond to her. The house was a lot less noisy today, she didn’t mind that. She wanted to go outside and see if she could get some air, but she knew she wouldn’t get that, so she didn’t bother to ask.
Ivy’s hands trembled; she didn’t want to do what they wanted. She wanted to get up and show them that they had no control over her. But her body was weak, she was weak. She was barely able to drink the tea without help from Marcie. Marcie hugged Ivy, “I’m sorry they are doing this to you.” She whispered. “Then help me get out of here, help me get to your son,” Ivy whispered. “Get up.” Samuel grabbed Ivy pulling her to her feet. “You need to eat something and you need a bath.” He said pulling her out of the room. “We’re going to the kitchen; today you are going to eat something more than the soup.” He said impatiently. “I
Ivy opened her eyes; the room was bright, meaning the sun was up. She was still weak but she was able to sit up on her own. “Quinn?” she quizzed to see if she could hear him. “Yeah love, are you okay?” he questioned. “I feel weird still, but was I dreaming?” she said looking around. “No, I don’t know what they have planned for you, but you need to get away from them as soon as you can. I will let Nick go, but you have to come back to me.” “I still don’t trust you either,” Ivy said pushing the covers off o
Ivy opened her eyes; she wanted everything to be a dream. She wanted to be lying next to Nick and everything to be back to normal, but she was in a dark room. She wasn’t sure if she would have enough strength to get out of bed, but she needed to find out if they found out any more information on the whereabouts of Nick and if Quinn had tried to attack them again. Getting out of bed, the room started to spin, so Ivy sat down for a moment to regain her ground. She wasn’t sure why she felt drugged but it didn’t matter. Getting to her feet she felt for the wall, and then for the doorknob. Slowly pulling open the door, the house was dark and she didn’t hear anyone moving around or talking. She still felt very weak, but she continued along the wall in hopes
