Chapter 5 - A blooming love.

“I think you should go check on the pack matters. I will catch up with you in a minute or two.” I heard Zayn speak up, and I was fully convinced that he knew I was here.

“No problem, dude, I’ll see you in a few.” Bryce stated, before exiting the waters, and heading back to the pack.

“You can come out now.” He commanded, and I felt my heart leap into my throat. I slowly got out from behind the rock, and I saw Zayn’s face contort into that of shock as I swam closer, and I felt like a child that had been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

“I can explain…” I started, but he held up his hand, silencing me instantly.

“No need, I am sorry that we interrupted your… private time. However, this is a public swimming place for the pack, and anyone could come along, only to discover a naked woman swimming here.” The way he said it, made me feel like I did something wrong, which I probably did, but no one has visited this place in over two years.

“Well, it isn’t like anyone comes to visit this place anyway.” I stated, as I watched him inch closer.

“Then what am I doing here?” he stated, causing my cheeks to flare up again. I hated the effect that he had on me, but I was not about to tell him that.

“To be honest with you, Zayn, I have no idea what you are doing here. Do you not have pack duties to attend to, and a marriage to arrange?” I said, referring to my cheater of an ex, and his new play toy.

“Indeed, I do, I thought I would just come here to relax for a bit, but it looks like the moon goddess had other plans.” He stated simply, referring to the smell that I am sure we both took in like it was the best smell on earth, a couple of minutes prior to this conversation.

A blush crept up my cheeks, as he swam closer, both of us not wearing any clothes, and I could feel the heat radiating off of his toned muscles, his tattooed arms propelling him forward.

“Now tell me… Do you really want to play this game with me?” He asked, and I felt flustered to my core, his scent invading my senses, and fueling my desires.

“What if I did?” I retorted, catching him off guard, before a wolfy grin spread on his face.

“Then you have to be ready to pay the price that comes along with it.” He stated, his face mere centimeters away from mine, and I could feel his hot breath brushing against my lips.

“Well then, guess we will just have to see what becomes of it.” I stated, leaning in closer, until my lips were barely touching his.

He let out a low growl before he closed the gap, taking my lips into his, his hands traveling to my hips, and I welcomed his touch. I have had these secret feelings for a while now, and at that moment I wanted him.

The kiss was passionate and needy, like he had been wanting this for a very long time, and that fueled my senses to go further. A soft moan escaped my lips as he took my bottom lip in between his teeth, nibbling on it sensually.

The kiss turned hungry, like he had not been intimate with someone else like this in quite a while, and that is when we broke the kiss to catch both our breaths, his hands holding my head close to his, our lips still almost touching, and that is when he spoke up.

“You are playing a dangerous game here, and I want you to know that if we continue this, there will be consequences.” He stated, his breath laboured. We let go of each other, and I could vaguely make out the monster he had brewing under the water. His sheer size was intimidating, unlike Tristan’s.

I gulped at the sight of it, and he smirked, looking down, he knew he was big, and he seemed rather proud of it too.

“Maybe another time, princess. In the meantime, get dressed, and go tend to the pups for me?” He asked, his voice low and commanding, yet he said it in such a sweet way, that I could not refuse his order.

“As you wish, Alpha,” I stated, biting my lip seductively at him, causing him to groan.

“You will be the death of me, Alice Kent.” He stated, before leaving me in the water, dumfounded at what had just occurred.

I eventually got out of the water, and dried myself off before grabbing my clothes, and heading back to the pack. I was one step closer now to getting my revenge. I just had to play it safe. Who knows what consequences he was referring to?

I had a feeling that I was going to find out sooner rather than later, and to be honest, I was beyond nervous.

I arrived at the pack daycare, and all of the little pups came rushing to my side.

“We missed you so much!” “Welcome back Alice!” “Welcome back” “She’s back you guys!” I heard the little rascals cheer, as if they had waited forever for me to come back. I was only gone for one day! Did they really like me, and miss me this much?

“Please never leave us again. We don’t like that other girl, she is mean, and she doesn’t spend time with us like you do, she just sat in her chair, and waited until the day was over.” Cassy spoke up, she was one of the oldest girls here, and I smiled at how sweet they all were.

“I promise, I am not going anywhere.” I promised, holding out my pinky for her to take. We ended up putting on a movie for all of them to watch, and I made popcorn and cotton candy, since today was my welcome back party.

These little pups were way too sweet. Don’t worry little ones, I’ll get my revenge soon enough…
