Time to get this part started. Next chapter they storm the Order.
Two hours wasn’t enough time to get everything ready to take on the Order. While Hana left with Sarael and Khalid to gather as much hunting gear as they could, the rest of us reviewed the security beyond the alarms the Order had. Some things could have been upgraded or changed quickly since we resigned, but I doubt much changed. It wasn’t easy to strategize without knowing who Malcolm and Harris would bring from the fraternity. Caleb, Mariana, and Agustín arrived twenty minutes after Dani texted them, and we had them filled in on the plans by the time Hana and the others returned with arms full of weapons. Hana and Sarael had both changed to more appropriate battle attire. While Hana was lovely in the sweater dress she’d been wearing when we arrived, it wouldn’t have been suitable for storming the Order. Hana was dressed like a true hunter, and it was hot. Black combat boots that I assumed had hidden blades in the toe and heel, black tactical pants that had hidden pockets to store
Aiming for the cigar instead of his head was a split-second decision. And that split second was a brief recognition of a slightly older and fuller-faced version of Isak. They had the same eyes and general facial features. It took me momentarily off guard to be face-to-face with Isak’s father. I knew from talking to Isak that he had a good relationship with almost all his family. The only exception is the self-made black sheep of the Espensen family, Englebert, or Bert, as Isak called him. Isak was the only one of my mates with whom I had a good family relationship, and I don’t want to destroy that. However, if Jerahmeel stands between us and Pamela, I will choose her. All I could do was hope that Jerahmeel thinks as highly of and loves his son as much as Isak does him. Judging from Harris’ reaction, this was the first time he met his paternal grandfather, and I don’t want to speculate on how that may reflect on Jerahmeel. “Eliezer called me in. He claimed you had gone rogue and was
Jerahmeel being in his office was a surprise. Despite knowing Isak retained a good relationship with his dad, I was still unsure where Jerahmeel’s loyalties would fall. So yeah, I was surprised when he sent all the angels away. It wasn’t exactly him taking our side, but it wasn’t him siding with Scorcha and the other two morons. I’d take the win. I didn’t even care that Jerahmeel looked down on me and Albert. He’s always thought being our friend was the worst decision of Isak’s life. However, if he is going to stir up shit about Hana, I’ll rip his fucking wings off and shove them up his ass. I wasn’t, however, surprised that the remaining demons and vampires on the first floor had no clue there was a human hostage. I didn’t need to know what rubbish my mother and the others fed them. I have an active enough imagination to draw my conclusions. No, that imagination isn’t solely reserved for all the deliciously filthy and erotic things I want to do to Hana. That’s just its current prim
I’d barely gotten my bearings after we teleported to my family’s living room before Dad pulled me away from Aidan and hugged me. I knew he’d be worried. It didn’t matter how skilled or high my marks were in every training I’d undergone. My dad was still my dad and, therefore, would worry about me. Plus, this was the first time I’d truly put my years of training into a live combat situation. So, I was not offended. “I’m okay, Dad,” I assured him. “She might be okay, but I’m not.” Pamela declared as she got out of Malcolm’s arms. “I was ABDUCTED by that scrawny-ass English teacher from the airplane BATHROOM. I get knocked out and wake up in some weird ass basement CHAINED to a chair with a creepy pre-pubescent shithead, a past her prime Wednesday’ lunch rush’ stripper, and some constipated black guy glaring at me and talking about me like I’m not there. I get told to do as I’m told, and so long as my friend shows up, I won’t get hurt further.” Pamela started on a rant. Malcolm opened
“HANA!!” Rose’s squeal woke me seconds before all forty pounds of my little sister landed on me. “HA NA!” CJ yelled as he launched himself onto my bed. I groaned, mindful to keep my blankets over me as my sleepy brain remembered Aidan put me to bed naked. Nudity may be common around a werewolf pack, but my siblings don’t need to see me naked. I should count myself lucky that none of the guys decided to sneak into my bed after we all went to bed. “What the…” Aidan started sitting up, his blonde hair a sexy bedhead mess. “I’m up,” Isak said, sitting up, his head on a swivel and his hair just as messy. “Fuck off….” Albert groaned but didn’t sit up. He only threw his pillow in the general direction of my bed. I chuckled, holding my blanket to my chest as I managed to roll my siblings off me to sit up slightly. Their directions were adorable. And while Albert was the grumpiest, I wouldn’t blame him for it. He’s a vampire. It’s daytime, which means he ought to be asleep. Aidan and Isak
Hana’s bed was certainly more comfortable than the blankets on the floor. Though still not as comfortable as my bed back in New Haven. Overall, comfort doesn’t matter much to me. I just needed a dark place to sleep. And bonus, everything smells like Hana. Her scent all around me made for a peaceful sleep despite the loud morning wakeup from her siblings. I’m sure they’re adorable kinder when I’m not trying to sleep. I woke up to the sound of a shower. Opening one eye, I quickly determined that no one else was in Hana’s bedroom—neither Isak nor Aidan were in sight. I did see a garment bag hanging over the desk chair. Someone, likely Isak, had brought a clean outfit from my luggage at the nest. It is helpful since I don’t want to spend the evening wearing Bloodmoon-branded fitness gear. Sleeping in it was one thing, but going out in public? Yeah, no thanks. I tilted my head toward the attached bathroom, the source of the sound that woke me. She’d been in the shower yesterday when we ca
I’d been super quiet, laying out his garment bag and going into the bathroom to shower. Did I leave the door unlocked intentionally? Yes. I didn’t know if my shower would wake Albert, but I wouldn’t lock him out if it did. And given how things went, I’m glad I left it unlocked. I’ll blame the steam from the shower for why I feel a bit lightheaded. I know it probably is a factor, but I knew it was mostly from Albert leaving me breathless between the way he devoured my mouth and how hard I had just come in the shower. Don’t get me started on how it felt to make him cum. I hadn’t seen any of them naked before and certainly hadn’t touched them there. Sure, Albert’s dick wasn’t as big as Daisuke or most werewolves of alpha bloodlines, but I liked it better. Size was the only thing Daisuke had going for him because he had no idea how to use it. And that’s the end of my comparison to that douchebag. What matters is that I enjoy being in control of Albert’s pleasure. I had to make them all
I pulled my jacket tighter like a security blanket as we entered the hotel lobby. There weren’t many people, but there were enough, and they were all looking at us with those judgmental gazes. Albert put his arm around me, hanging back while Aidan went to check in at the front desk. I suppose there was no need for us to all walk up for check-in. There was no point drawing even more attention to our unusual dynamic. “Ignore them,” Albert whispered as he kissed my temple. I took a deep breath and tried my best to do just that. Thankfully, it didn’t take long before Aidan joined us with the keycard. Aidan hit the button for the top floor in the elevator and moved to stand behind me. I didn’t bother asking what he was doing. This is Aidan we’re talking about. His arms wrapped around me, and he started unbuttoning my coat, staring at me in the mirror of the elevator door as he did. “Do you know how hard it was to sit through dinner with you dressed like this?” Aidan said, his breath ho
