There was no point in trying to deter Albert or my dad from going down to the cells. I’d told them they could do what they wanted to Kyou. I couldn’t and wouldn’t take that back. It’s not much consolation, but Dad can take his anger out on Kyou. His disappointment and frustration at learning he wouldn’t be able to join the fight was palpable.

“What did we miss?” Uncle John asked, pulling a chair out for Sarael.

“That no wolves can go.” Aurelia frowned.

“What do you mean? Why not?” Uncle John asked.

“This…” Silvercloud said, pulling up the 3D model of the building again to display the angelic symbols. “Angel boy there…” He pointed at Isak.

“His name is Isak, and he’s centuries older than you. Let’s use his name and not refer to him or any of them as ‘boys.’” I rolled my eyes.

“Fine.” Silvercloud held his hands up in surrender. “Isak said these are angelic symbols that create a barrier to keep werewolves out. In this configuration, it would even keep out a quarter breed.”
