Scarlett’s POV

“What’s the meaning of this nonsense?! Ethan roared, his face contorted in rage.

“Do you realize that you’re causing an unnecessary scene here? Have some decorum, will you?” He glared at me and turned to look around.

What! Why is he only looking at me? What about her?

“Now go upstairs,” he said to me.

“But I—”

“Upstairs!” He cut me off.

“No! She has to leave first.” I folded my arms on my chest. He let out a long sigh, using his fingers to massage his forehead. More of the workers had gathered at the scene, moving around.

He turned to Luna. “You leave.”

“You can’t be serious, Ethan.” The shock was evident in her voice.

“When have you ever known me to be a joker, Luna? Leave now; I need to rest.”

“Come on, Ethan, you want to push me away because of this gold-digging slut?”
